I do not care the condition, as long as you are positive the motherboard works.
The esn does not matter either. Report it lost if you want to blacklist the serial from the motherboard
Please I need this thanks.

Yes the esn would have to be clean since it is linked to the chips on the board which the average person wouldn't be able to remove/replace. They are micro soldered to the board and without a machine its pretty much damn near impossible for a human to work with, the.solder points are just too small and too close together for the human hand to avoid cross contacting when soldering

Seriously? What has happened to xda? Just get on ebay or craigslist. If none of that crap matters you will be way more likely to find something legit on proven sources on ebay then starting a thread.
I have a broken E4GT that Sprint wouldn't fix for me. The power button is stuck down internally so it would constantly turn on then reset. I had to report it stolen to get a new one for 100$.

I rather buy it from people that know about phones and where they would most probably be alot kinder, then from an ebay seller from a corporate (Eg All-tech) that know nothing and cannot answer my questions. This has always went on since the opening of this site. Sorry if i offended you with this thread -.-

i dont know about samsung, but with sprint:
When enrolled in Total Equipment Protection (TEP):
•$0 for normal wear and tear and mechanical and electrical failure.
•$50 or $100 non-refundable deductible applies depending on device model for loss, theft, or physical or liquid damage per approved claim filed with the insurance administrator, Asurion.
When not enrolled in Total Equipment Protection (TEP):
•$35 for wear and tear, and mechanical or electrical failures.
•Upgrades or new device purchases are at Suggested Retail Price for loss, theft or physical or liquid damage.
I swear I never touched your phone.
I keep getting accused of this too often..
I called today and made an appointment to see a sprint technician I go in and the manager stops me at the door and says can I help you with anything now any rooting veteran kn rows when u go into a repair center to play dumb so I said hum I have an appointment and he's like okay well come here and I'll look at the phone. That right there got me worried because and untrained cashier jockey was about to take a look at my phones sub port. The first mistake he made as I watched him carefully was he jammed his fingernail in the sub port and pryed the back cover off backwards and forcefully and almost throws my phone across the room. I wanted to say something but I did not want to spark him as he seemed to have attitude as it is. Well he outs a sub cable in ( first upsidedown) and he closely compares mine to the store cable I guess he doesn't know what micro sub looks like. And he says it charges just fine and decides to finally bring it to a technician and they ran a detailed test on my sub cable and determined it was frayed on the inside so I said to myself no buggy I then decided to ask if he cud do something about this crack in the screen bezel just about the volume rocker. And he employees and talks to me as if I'm 5 years old. The worst part is because he wasn't a technician I never got the survey call from sprint to rate his poor performance
Edit pleasebignor the subs* I opined back time stock today and you all know how shifty Samsung's spell check is

I have a good relationship with the tech supervisor at the local repair center. The thing that kicked it off was when I brought my OG Epic in back when I was trying to get MIUI on it (before MIUI was release for it), he thought it was pretty cool that I was tweaking the phone like that and asked me if I could do anything with his Evo......free service/repairs ever since, no questions asked.

Physical damage can only be fixed by insurance claim. Will set your friend back 130 bucks. Now, the bigger issue is why would your friends mom stab a phone? Was he protecting himself with the phone from getting stabbed!?

but if you read all the threads here, you will soon realize 99.999999% of the things people do here are all software related.

Look up t989 teardown. It looks like that is not the WiFi module, but the signal lead. Seems like its part of the mother board I believe. None the less, if it's just a copper lead it should be repairable. Being exposed may be causing some shorting out leading to the damage and bad connection. Repairing may not make it perfect though.
I was trying to find a tear down video, but couldn't find one. What component would I have to change?

I agree just getting a replacement phone is the way to go, but I need to make sure I did not lose anything on the internal storage of my wifes broken phone. I have all photos backed up to dropbox, but I just need to make sure. Also, the used phone I replaced her broken phone with has a little bit of a beaten up trim around the screen but screen is fine.
When I connect with USB I do not see any drives and Kies says that the phone needs to have USB debugging enabled, which I could have sworn I did on her phone. I had her phone running on Calks 3.0 GB ROM and it was rooted so pretty sure I did it but who knows.
Any tutorials on how to access the internal storage in my situation? If I could do that then no need to replace screen.
Thanks
I may take up that offer to replace for $100, not a bad option at all.

So I was wondering if I could use the digitizer/lcd screen from the Sprint Galaxy S2 D710 since both our phones have the same sized screen, that way I could save myself a lot of money.
Hopefully someone can help me out I'm already tired of using a blackberry!
