Did anyone else see Clockwork flash briefly? - Sony Xperia S, Acro S, Ion

Exactly what the title says. I went to reboot for the first time after rooting ICS on my phone. For a brief second clockwork recovery flashed on screen. Then I got a blank backlit screen for about 5 seconds. It then flashed the loading ring with the arrow and the clockwork hat. Then it rebooted right back in normally. Weird. Call BS all you want, I swear this to be true.
Sent from my LT28at
EDIT: I am able to reproduce this!! To do so, do the following:
Force restart your phone by holding Power + Volume Up. Once it vibrates, let go of the power button, but continue to hold Volume UP. Once SONY appears on screen, press and hold it, while still holding the Volume UP button. It "should" now appear.
The CAMERA button acts as the OK button in this recovery.
NOTICE!!! - What you do is your own risk, my phone wont keep it on screen for more than 90 seconds.
Thanks to: ganeshbiyer for informing me about pressing the sony logo on screen

It is the part of rooting toolkit.
Keep pressing the Sony Logo while booting to access the recovery.
First time it is seen and then goes blank, press vol down to display it.
But nothing works.

I wasn't able to access recovery by simply pressing the SONY logo. The only way I was able was in conjunction with the Volume UP button.

Yea, the bad thing is that since it was designed for Xperia S and not the Ion you cannot back up yet.

Anyone messaged doomlord to see if he's willing to try making cwm for ion now that we have legit ICS?

Not sure where he is located, but if he is within 100 miles of me, I'll take him my phone for testing/dev.

Anyone try making the CWM folders on the SDCARD and see if CWM will work then? I would try but I forget what the folder names are suppose to be.

good things are happening one after the other

Doomlord, I know you've done a lot of developing for Sony smartphones. Do you have any intentions on developing for the Ion? I have an AT&T Ion. If you do plan to develop. Let me know if I can provide anything that may be of help. This phone has plenty of potential, and I know you can exploit it.

Actually it goes into bootloader, from there you select recovery navigating with the volume buttons and selecting with the power button.
Also Yes, this is the wrong section and a little searching would have given you this answer.

[SOLVED] Phone Refuses to Boot into CWM, Blue Light Flashes, then boots as normal

So I installed CWM with the "CWM Installer" APK I had backed up on my SD Card as I had used that APK before , and it worked but now when I install CWM and click "Boot into CWM" it turns off, turns on, blue light comes on for about 2-3 seconds then turns off and continues to boot into Android.
Any hello is appreciated. Looked in the X-Parts thread but found no answers. And before you ask, yes I tried the newer versions.
I tried before, that won't work. You need to press volume button to go into CWM
Thanks, I'll try that now.
Just tried, the same thing happens. Blue light flashes, then boots as normal.

If you get green light then your phone probably isn't bricked. Do you have fastboot drivers and flashtool? If not install these. Then connect one end of the USB cable to PC and while plugging in the other to phone holed down vol down( blue led should lit) or vol up (green led)
If you get some of these working then you can fix the phone.

Try connecting to pc without holding buttons, it should connect in flashmode if only green led is turned on when connected to charger. Maybe try again both volume down and up with power button. If no success try leaving it for night on a charger and tommorow try again. As far as there is green led you can recover it.

Is flashtool said that everything is ok? Or it didn't even start flashing rom. If said that everything is ok, it's possible that your battery is discharged. Someone had a similiar problem as you, but he put his phone on a charger for 20+ hours and phone was recovered.

[Q] My galaxy s2 SGH-T989 wont turn on.

Ok, so i can't really tell if this particular problem has been posted before but from what i have looked through it has not. However, if i have just missed it then please just redirect me to it as long as it matches my problem so please read through my post before posting that its been done.
So moving along, as the title says i have a Samsung Galaxy s2 SGH-T989 and i've been running CyanogenMod 10.2. Oh and before i forget, the battery is not dead and just in case i've tried to turn it on while plugged in only to get the same results. Anyways over the past 24 hours my phone started shutting off randomly to the point now that it shuts off before finishing booting. If it does finish it doesn't stay on long enough to do anything and sometimes it barely turns on.
Has this been heard of before and even if not what can i try or do?
Three words:
Broken power button
Apparently it's a very common issue with this phone.
It has yet to happen on my phone. I hope it never does lol.
You can try replacing the button yourself or take it to a cellphone repair shop.
Sounds right, the button is difficult to replace, best to have a shop replace it. I have fixed a couple by tightening the button. You tube, easy power button fix t989 by iamkambodian. Only if you're OK with taking it apart.
Ps, you can feel the button click if it's good.
