International battery cover - Galaxy S III Accessories

Anybody knows if the battery cover from the international version fits the verizon one?

Yes, it should ... the physical dimensions between the various SIII models are identical.
Likewise, cases and other fitted accessories for the international model should fit our phone, as well. I have three extended battery cases originally made for the international model which fit perfectly.
Be wary of any battery cover/replacement back made of metal. These interfere with NFC and radio (re: call, wifi and 3G/4G) reception. I've read that the carbon fiber backs are very nice ...

On the CF backs:
What people are calling "carbon fiber" backs, are NOT carbon fiber.. they are vinyl, with the consistency of leather (re: pleather) with a CF-like weave imprinted in it (3d imprinted, so it really does look pretty cool). They look awesome, and are slightly padding.
A REAL CF back would be expensive, and actually lower reception a tiny bit (nowhere near as much as a metal plate, but still lower reception).

I don't think so cause it fits the GSM Version perfectly, so there is no room for the extended battery

It will fit, but the lower sides will bow out a bit and thus won't "lip" over. I've not tried it without the door, however.

[Q] Imak leather cases (flip bottom)

I believe there were no feedback on those yet (priced at 19.99$ at obostore):
NB I am new so not allowed externals links so here are just end-portions of urls at obostore
Imak Count Leather Case Skin for Samsung Galaxy Note

Imak Jazz Super-slim Genuine Leather Case Skin for Samsung Galaxy Note

anyone have those to share impressions? they look decent, corners seems to be protected... but withpout hands-on-experience hard to say how well they fit, feel (bulky or not), how well top latch works, etc.
Thank you in advance
Thanks for spotting these. I ordered the Imak Count on 30 December and it arrived yesterday. Free shipping so only paid about £11 which is an absolute bargain. It's a nice simple design and feels really good to hold. No metal protrusions or crass branding, just a discrete Imak stamp on the rear. The fit is excellent and it's quite easy to insert and remove the GNote. The corners are reasonably well protected although the open sections may be slightly vulnerable. The latch works well, releases easily and keeps the inside face of the cover approx 1 - 2mm above the screen.
My Noreve case is going back as it has an adverse effect on the signal strength (actually quite a dramatic effect), whereas the Imak case seems to have minimal impact.
Thanks!
I am still waiting for mine but I guess it is already on my continent somewhere

I agree. If it cannot be fixed, it has to go back.

Battery covers

I want to customize my SGN (GSM) and I thought of changing the battery cover for a colored one. CNN.cn sells some:
hxxp://cnn.cn/shop/samsung-i9250-galaxy-nexus-c-26_1375.html
(I don't think I can post links yet, but there you go anyway; change the hxxp for http).
I've looked around ebay and all the battery covers I've seen seem to be the same ones that CNN is selling.
However, I've noticed that these battery covers are metallic. Has anyone tried these kind of battery covers before? Do they affect the phone somehow? (signal, NFC, etc.)
I'm also looking forward to the white housing: white housing + red battery cover = kick-ass phone
Unfortunately these metal covers break the GPS and NFC signal. Don't know if the network signal is affected but I wouldn't strip my phone of GPS and NFC just for looks.
There is a reason why Samsung chose plastic over metal.
Also, using your phone in cold weather with a metal cover over the battery can affect your battery life.
That sucks . Thanks for the quick reply.
Has anyone seen colored plastic battery covers for sale? The only ones I've seen are the metallic ones; it baffles me that all these unofficial replacement covers are made of metal instead of plastic (shouldn't plastic be cheaper?)

[Q] Can someone tell me the difference between these phones.

I just got my galaxy nexus off ebay.
Im on sprint so i have the toro-plus and i am interested in buying a new bumper case and back door cover.
Most of the cases on ebay are for either the gsm model or verizon lte model and people warn thats theres differences.
Does the verizon lte cases fit the sprint model? And back door covers?
or Do Gsm case and back door fit?
OR... Do i have to look up L700 sprint model for both cases and door covers.
Thanks
The Sprint and Verizon models are physically the same size, so any Verizon case will fit.
The GSM model is slightly thinner than the others. It has a different shaped battery and back cover. The batteries and back doors are not compatible with CDMA models.
Cases for the most part have enough give in them to work on either GSM or CDMA models, simply because the differences in the thickness are so small. There may be a few cases that are extremely form-fitting to the device that may not fit properly. Just go with CDMA cases if you're really unsure.
The back plates are incompatible between the Verizon and Sprint model I think... I'd double check that.

I read alot of post where people posted that their extended batteries fit inside the normal cases.
Im looking to get the extended battery with door(for sprint). Does it make the phone any fatter or its just a weight issue.
Thanks

Some have been able to squeeze the extended battery in with the stock cover. The OEM extended battery + cover does make it slightly thicker and heavier.

Metal Backcover

I purchased one of these from ebay.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/New-Brushed-...hone_PDA_Cases&var&hash=item4176020a13&_uhb=1
I really like how it makes my phone feel more premium.
I was wondering if there exists a custom backcover made entirely of metal? Or something thinner? This backcover adds like 3mm of unnecessary thickness and I can't use any cases ontop of it.
Below is something similar for the s4.
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Aluminum-Met...hone_PDA_Cases&var&hash=item3a82bf1863&_uhb=1
This seems to be alot thinner. The plastic is less visible atleast.
the problem with this cover is: weak signal for gsm (block signals: wifi, nfc, gsm)
