apk files in system/app - HTC One X

I was just wondering if it is possible to install these apk files onto say, an origional jelly bean rom? I mean can I just run these apk in the new system and will they install and work on the new ROM? I mean I don't expect Sense 4.0 to work, but will the HTC clock work? how about the HTC dailer? I want to try Jelly Bean but I think HTC's apps are just more polished than the alternatives you find on Google Play.
btw I have the stock rom atm.

i don't think so, but you're free to try

As long as these apk's don't require any "non-standard libraries" you should be fine, but chances are that most system apk's by HTC will require HTC specific libraries.... so it will most likely fail.

OK, Ginger Dialer apk for Sense

I've searched and tried looking for the thread that talked about this. I'm running Insertcoin Sense rom and I don't like the stock dialer and contacts apk. I would like to use gingerbread's apk and I need to find the right one to replace my current ones.
This step is new to me, so I will ask. Can I just use Root Explorer to replace those apks? I've seen how they do it for the Samsung G, by just pasting the new apk into the system app folder and removing the stock ones.
Thanks for your help.
can anybody help?
Here you go, I just extracted it from the AOSP rom. May I suggest if you like the look of gingerbread rather than sense then just flash a AOSP rom.
That's what i've done in the past but I like some things from sense that aren't in AOSP roms. Thanks for the links.

[Q] adding stock soft to BNC-GIO-v1.0-R2

I just discovered BNC-GIO-v1.0-R2 rom and it looks quite promising. But most of stock apps were trimmed out. I wanted to put in again Memo but was not able to do it by copying it's apk to system/apps with root explorer and giving the apk all permissions. Does anyone know if there's another way to install stock apps on this rom?
cheers

It won't work unless it has the Samsung TouchWiz Framework like all stock ROMs have. I'm not sure what Delanoister based his rom off of, but I believe it's based off of CM7 and not the official 2.3.6 firmware. I think that BNC-GIO-R1 is based off of the official 2.3.6 firmware, so you can try that and the stock apps should work...

[Q] Is it possible to install Google Now as an APK?

Is it possible to install Google Now as an APK?
Or, do we have to move up to the JB framework? It's just that the JB ROMs are so new right now, but it would be cool to have now, now!

sort of. seems there are still some bugs.

Porting Stock apps of one V to other rom like cm9/cm10 for one V

Is there a way to port stock system apps of one v like message, mail, flashlight etc to cm9 and cm10?
I tried regular install via file explorer but it didn't work. i think it needs HTC framework to work but there might be a way to make this apps work..
some stock apps are really great like mail app..
Waiting for reply from you awesome devs :victory::fingers-crossed:

[Q] sense apps on cm10

I was wondering if there was anyway to install a couple of HTC sense apps onto my cm10 ROM primarily just the the camera app and maybe the music app
I have tried copying system apps from a leedroid ROM for HTC one x but doesn't install correctly any ideas ?
Could probably push the apks through adb (I think).
Sent from my HTC One X
Won't work, they're heavily dependent on the Sense framework

no it's not possible at all! if you want sense apps and no sense, then try a desensed rom (in many roms you can choice if use sense or not, during aroma install)
