seems like everyone makes roms with sense 3.0, i dont want it, i want a standard gingerbread rom with the new desireHD/desire s sense...
so i can take a rom with sense 3.0 stuff in it and remove that 3.0 but what files...
Fr_78 well i kinda have to flash a new rom, the old once arent stable enough...

and sense 2.1 is in that rom?
no pure sense 2.1 rom, only 2.1+3.0
and i dont think you can simply delete .apk since its connected to some other files (framework.res ?)
Cook your own ROM.
And post it here, for people to donate to you

InsertCoin 1.0.5 is mostly sense 2.1 (no weather lockscreen, just the ring). It's rock solid, so you could just flash that.
I'd recommend taking a look at Cool AceS rom - it's pure Sense 2.1. I've been using it for quite a long time and all I can say is that it's very stable and fast enough for day-to-day use. And don't forget updating the kernel to v5 to get the compass working.
I use RCMixS 2.0 but removed the lockscreen.apk from the rom zip before flashing.
All that remains is sense 2.1. Fast, smooth, stable and good battery life!

Alex-V, baadnwz and teppic74 have their stock 2.3 roms based on the latest official release.
Yes but with HTC apps.......and odexed......
unofficial BravoS from coolexe?
that has sense 2.1 only and htc apps
you can just remove htc apps from the zip before you flash it too
good, but I can do simply:
rm -rf "/system/app/*htc*"
My real question is: "how can I recognize which is HTC apps ?"

most of them do have HTC slapped in there somewhere..
e.g. com.htc.facebook.apk or com.htcmail.apk
if you google or search around i think there's a list of all the safe to remove apps somewhere and what they do
thank u a lot
Hi All I get CM7.0.3 on my wildfire But I really don't like with some App include on CM7.0.3 like camera, gallery, Music Player and more.
It's possible to delete them and reinstall with apk from the original rom..?
if it's possible please tell me how can i do?
Stock HTC Apps cannot be used on AOSP ROMs like Cyanogenmod.
can you tell me why ?
Because they require the Sense Framework, which is a kind of "HTC Exclusive backend" obviously not present on AOSP ROMs like CM7.
So I got my HTC One X a few days ago. I wanted to flash a ROM on it, but I like the stock camera. I read somewhere that I can't put the stock cam on sense-less roms. so it would be possible to put it on sense-based roms?
I saw this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705334
it's sense-based. would it be possible to use the stock camera here? I think it would, but I'd like to make sure :fingers-crossed:
Yes it works in ANY sense based rom. Even if you de-sense a rom you are only getting rid of the launcher and a few other bloatware apps. The camera app won't be removed.
It's not compatible on non sense based roms such as CM9/CM10/AOSP/AOKP based roms as they utilise stock Google and extremely hard to port over due to closed drivers and certain libs.

I was just wondering if it is possible to install these apk files onto say, an origional jelly bean rom? I mean can I just run these apk in the new system and will they install and work on the new ROM? I mean I don't expect Sense 4.0 to work, but will the HTC clock work? how about the HTC dailer? I want to try Jelly Bean but I think HTC's apps are just more polished than the alternatives you find on Google Play.
btw I have the stock rom atm.
i don't think so, but you're free to try
As long as these apk's don't require any "non-standard libraries" you should be fine, but chances are that most system apk's by HTC will require HTC specific libraries.... so it will most likely fail.

Is there a way to port stock system apps of one v like message, mail, flashlight etc to cm9 and cm10?
I tried regular install via file explorer but it didn't work. i think it needs HTC framework to work but there might be a way to make this apps work..
some stock apps are really great like mail app..
Waiting for reply from you awesome devs :victory::fingers-crossed:
