Galaxy S3 Ring Delay - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

Has anyone else experienced a really long ring delay? I tried calling myself multiple times throughout the day at different places and I average around 15 seconds before my phone starts ringing the same applies when trying to make calls I'll press call and wait a while before it actually connects.

are you using google voice?

Just tried calling myself and it rang within 6 seconds or so.

[Q] google voice incoming call issue

does anyone know how to stop the phone from asking your to press 1 to accept call or press 2 to send to voice-mail? this started when I started using Google voice for my voice-mail. I am using Cynogen 10.1
this is pretty annoying!
Log into google voice from a pc, go into settings and turn off call screening.

"OK Google" not working

Having lots of difficulties with "OK Google" on this watch. Bluetooth stays connected fine and so does wifi because i'm getting all my notifications instantly and it doesnt say that im disconnected. When I say OK Google the prompt comes up to speak...but only like 4 of the 30 times I tried did it actually work and not show the cloud symbol. I restarted the watch a couple times and the same thing happens, i've also done a factory reset since purchasing the watch 4 days ago. Thoughts? Thanks.

I found it to be very hit or miss as well.

I've not had it work once yet. The mic works as if I manually launch it everything seems fine.
I've tried restarts, factory resets & all the above. I'm pretty close to returning in all honesty as the voice launch is a huge deal for me!
I use my Huawei Watch with a OnePlus One on stock COS12.1 and have the same problem.
A lot of times when I use the watch to say "Okay Google" it will tell me it's disconnected. The only work-around I found was to quickly wake up the phone and it would start working right away. It seems like the internet pauses if my phone has been idle too long. I receive notifications in real time so I don't know what's really causing it.
I had the same problem with the huawei and a dutch HTC one M8.
The problem was gone after changing "Google voice typing primary language" from dutch in english.
And teach Google the sound of my voice in "OK Google" detection =>> From any screen.
Try turning off the restricted data for google app and google play services under Data Usage in settings.

I find it very hard for it to recognise my Australian accent. However, when I put on an American accent it works 100% of the time!
Any way of fixing that?

Did you try going into Google Settings on your phone? There's an option to retrain the voice model in there.

HI mate, yes I've done that countless times to no avail unfortunately. It works fine on my phone, but it's like retraining the voice model has no effect on the Huwaei Watch.

Unlocked HTC 10 on T-Mobile - Weird "Bleep" Sound When Taking Calls

I just got my unlocked HTC 10 a couple weeks ago and it works great! I use it on the T-Mobile network. I notice that during like 60-70% of my received calls, when I first take the call, I hear a weird robotic-like "BLEEP" sound right at the beginning which lasts about a second or so then vanishes.
ANY idea what this is? It's not a big deal really, but if there's a way to resolve it, I'd like to know how.
Thanks!!

I'm with T-Mobile on US unlocked as well. But I've never noticed this issue. Nor do I hear anybody mentioned before. For every call? Or you were recording the call?

No it doesn't happen EVERY time, but like maybe 60-70% of the time, and only really briefly right after I take the call, then it vanishes.

I too have an unlocked US HTC 10 and haven't heard any beep sounds, but I would suggest you to disable VoLTE setting and try to answer the call again and see.
If you don't know where it is, then go to settings>calls, then scroll to the bottom and then turn on/off Voice over LTE setting.

Ok I'll try it...................but I like VoLTE, so even if it turns out to be the cause of this issue, I'll still eventually just leave it on. lol
It appears the issue is resolved now. I turned off VoLTE for a few days and took some calls........no bleeps. But then I re-enabled it about 4 days ago, and since then the bleeps have continued to not occur (knock on wood). Perhaps it just needed to be toggled with to "set it into place"? Anyway, if it happens again I'll post here, but for now I say case closed!
Thanks again to all who contributed! Glad the issue is gone though. lol

Repeated Double beeps during calls?

When making calls with this phone I get a quick double beep during any phone call I make - I thought it was a minute minder type of thing but it's not occuring at the minute mark, though at apparently regular intervals. Anyone else have this? It's driving me nuts!
I've noticed this as well, also while streaming music...I think it's when the phone bounces between LTE and Hspa?
It's a text notification. I had the same problem, took me a while to realize what it was.
I have same problem with beep but no any text notification pops up.
It is all notifications. FB, text, whatsapp, all of them.

What do you mean?
I noticed this to but on my LG watch sport. I thought it might be because of me running the beta. Normally it means I'm getting a notification but I'm not getting anything. Weird!

Every time your phone gets a notification while you are on a call you will get the 2 beeps. Hopefully they give us the option to turn this off soon.

Oh snap! That's what this is?! What an idiotic "feature". Thank you for sharing this discovery - I was worried that I was missing a minute minder setting somewhere or my calls were being recorded or something, though unlikely.

Screen won't turn on for incoming calls

Hi. I bought the Note 8 (Verizon) last week, and everything seemed fine, but then 2 days ago the screen simply won't turn on when I have an incoming call. The phone rings, but the screen won't come on. I have to unlock the phone, and swipe down the notification bar just to answer the call. I've googled around but can't find an answer to this issue for this particular phone. Any suggestions/ideas?
Maybe give a factory reset a go.

I was actually forced to do a hard reset this morning. The phone would NOT come on, no matter what I tried, couldn't even go into Safe Mode. Problem still persists. I'm actually thinking of exchanging it since I'm within the 14 day period.

Hard reset....As in power off and on right? Try booting into recovery mode and deleting cache and data.

I've now performed 2 factory resets, disabled AOD (for testing) and kept it on for other tests...same outcome. The screen will not come on when I have an Incoming call.

I've tossed the screen protector after 1 day because it kept making a clicking sound on the top corner. No case on it.

Tried that-no change. It's hard to believe that this phone has pretty much everything going for it...except turning on the screen for an incoming call.

Factory reset , if no go , replacement.

3 Factory Resets later, booting into Safe Mode, not downloading ANYTHING else, same scenario. Verizon is shipping a replacement to my house, I should have it by Tuesday. The Tech at the Verizon Store actually called my phone so I could show him the lack of screen activation. He said he's never seen this before either.
FIGURED IT OUT! Settings--Display&Lights--Turn off double tap to wake-up to solve issue! ...
This was set somehow, I disabled that and now my phone properly lights up for calls and I can actually answer them.

Another way to fix this is to call yourself on another phone while your Note 8 screen is on. When the call comes in, don't answer but slide down the notification bar and you will see your call. Adjust notifications to not block/be silent.

I went into Settings, Display, but nothing about double tap to wake-up. Samsung runs on AMOLED and that function is on other screens like Sony Xperias.
I do notice another thing going into Notifications settings and I see that the Phone app is Muted. I don't know how to get out of it.
The solution is the person who posted above. You call yourself, and swipe to unblock Silence notifications for your phone app. It's weird how it was set that way, but that's the best solution!
How do I unmute phone call notifications?
Thanks! My incomimg calls now appear on my screen!
I tired the unblock silence notifications and that still has not fixed it as well as a hard reset. Anyone else got any suggestions?
Thanks
Ian
Fix to dark screen on incoming call
Step 1: call youself
Step 2: swipe down on notification bar to view the call(usually how you would answer while dealing with this issue)
Step 3: swipe the call to the right and click the setting wheel.
Step 4: select "do not hide notifications"
Step 5: test call after doing this with the screen off, its should work.
