does anyone know how to stop the phone from asking your to press 1 to accept call or press 2 to send to voice-mail? this started when I started using Google voice for my voice-mail. I am using Cynogen 10.1
this is pretty annoying!
Log into google voice from a pc, go into settings and turn off call screening.

Hello,
I definitely prefer VLINGO for accuracy over google voice dialing. However I want to go quickly from pressing the button on my headset to placing a call. When the integrated vlingo on the ET4G starts it tells me how many missed calls I have. I don't care about that. I'd like to just say call Mary Smith at work and getting her on the line. How do I disable the notification part of VLINGO?
Thanks
Frankly clearing all the missed calls is pain on this phone - I'd rather leave them there and just not have VLINGO tell me about them.
In case there is no way, is there a way to set your missed calls to auto delete after 24 hours so I don't have to do it manually?
don't know, I've noticed that too, called Samsung and submitted a bug report. That's retarded!!! Their QA sucks!

Any word back? I sent them an email and they said they don't support any third party apps even if they are integrated.
I can't even figure out how to delete the missed call notification. How do you do it. I am tired of hearing I have two missed calls and no way to delete them.
You'll see your missed calls at the top - red phone under an arrow. Slide your notications down and you can click on missed calls. Go to menu and then delete - you can delete a group that way with the check at the top. I'm thinking an app that cleared them might help - if it ran every night at midnight.
I started getting a voice notification today for inbound sms on the stock messaging app. I have never received these before and cannot find a setting to turn it off. My phone is on vibrate. Anyone know how I stop this loud ass voice from announcing to everyone that I just received a message?
Anyone? Bueller?
GAH!!! It just happened again. How am I the only one with this issue???
I noticed that in voice command there is an option for announcing your messages in driving mode. Is it possible that this is the cause of the problem? Is that app showing up as running in task manager?

No it's not showing in task manager.
I tried looking in the various setting for "call settings", "sound", "voice input and output", and "dock setting" and can't find anything. There are also no settings listed in the messenger menu.
Same exact thing happened to me 4 or 5 days ago. Out of nowhere it just started yelling who was calling or texting me and it was very annoying.
How I fixed it: settings>voice input and output>text-to-speech settings>uncheck driving mode.
The only thing I can figure is somehow after connecting my phone to my car to play music somehow this driving mode setting got stuck on. But since turning it off I'm back to normal.

I installed CM9 beta 0 on Sat. Working great without any issues until now...My phone rings and I answer the call. I cannot hear the other person (or know if I actually connected even though the screen says I am).
ALSO...when I call out the phone actually places 2 outgoing calls (I found this out by calling my office phone and 2 lines ring) While I am calling out my phone shows the call screen but I do not hear any ringing. Sometimes the person can answer, sometimes it just goes to voicemail.
I have only install a few apps. The only one I can think that might have something to do with this is Google Voice. BUT my phone was working just fine with all these apps for 2 days and many phone calls. I have not installed anything today.
Anyone else have this happen, and any advice? Thanks!
I am trying to learn this stuff as I go, but this is my first post...so thank you all for the help!

That's a pretty weird issue! So I am not sure if I can be that much help but have you tried to go into cwm and clear cache and dalvik. The only other thing that I can think of would be to try wiping day day reflashing the rom

Thanks. I uninstalled Google Voice and it went away. I wasnt big on GV anyway so didn't mind letting go of it. Haven't had the problem again. Dont know what went wrong but might have just been a quick glitch.
biz, why not update to beta1?

ok story, as of this month whenever I called any one I had to reboot my phone so that they could hear me, if I didn't the person I was calling would just keep saying hello.
well the problem is with the ok Google from any screen setting it is messing up the calls on phone and Bluetooth.
go to Google settings,> search & now,> voice,> ok Google detection,> turn off the from any screen and reboot.
after that problems with calls should be gone.

Hopefully this works. Thanks! How did you come up with this?
So I just recently flashed a build of DU to my phone and when I say 'Hey Google' the phone vibrates to prompt me that the command was understood and it is ready to listen. On stock it always would beep instead of vibrating when I did this. I prefer the beep cause if I am not near my phone I know it is ready for a command. Is there anyway to change this? I've looked through all the settings I can think of and can't seem to find anything to change it. I'm probably just overlooking it. Thanks in advance!
If you turn on any accessibility option in setting you will get it back. Sadly this is the direction google has gone with assistant. There are huge threads on this since you can't tell if the phone is ready if you don't look at it (like in your car). Many people are irritated by this and google has pretty much told us all to take a jump.
