Just wondering if it is. I live in Korea and I bought a GN through Korea Telecom. My GN and even its batteries are labelled as 'Made in Korea'. Nowadays, everything is 'Made in China', yet my GN....
Is this only because I bought through Korea Telecom, or are your GN also 'Made in Korea'?
Mine is made in china
Not fair. My previous GN was made in China too.

My original Nexus (bought through WireFly) was made in China, and had a nice looking sticker behind the battery, I had to get it replaced through Verizon, and now I have a "Made in Korea" one with a cheap looking sticker, the phone works fine now, but it's weird how it changed.
I think what happened was the first couple hundred phones were made in Korea to make sure they get the manufacturing done correctly and check for faults. With that complete they would get the rest manufactured in china to save on costs.

Yup that is very likely. What about S3? Are all models of S3 made in Korea? If that is the case then it is obvious Samsung is giving piority for their own models over Nexus.

Hi -- I'm having a tough time finding an MHL-to-HDMI Adapter for the Galaxy Nexus around New York City, but there's an HTC-branded one that's widely available (for the Sensation) at T-Mobile shops. It _looks_ like it should work for the Galaxy Nexus. Does anyone know if it will?

Try going into a Verizon store they sell them and it will work with a GSM model

I just bought the Samsung MHL-HDMI adapter from Amazon for $15 bucks. Works great. Says its for the Galaxy S2 but it works great on our phone too. And matches it pretty well.

no works perfectly. I only bought it temporarily to test out HDMI mirroring and to wait for the one I bought for $10 on ebay to arrive.
Funny thing is that the sales guys said it would only work on the Sensation (since the package said it), but I knew better. When I returned it, the lady said "let me guess you tried this on the Galaxy nexus?" I said "Yes, but it worked perfectly, I just dont want it anymore"
Thanks for all the information, everyone. I ended up trying both Verizon's Galaxy Nexus adapter and T Mobile's Sensation one for my HSPA+ Galaxy Nexus. Verizon's worked initially but then only intermittently; whereas T Mobile's works great despite officially only being for the HTC Sensation.

I was browsing verizons website and came across this. I also cannot find the 32gb model on their website anymore. Just thought I'd point this out as its quite weird they would change this so late in the product lifecycle. Perhaps this indicates that Verizon plans on carrying the new nexus.
Probably a mistake.
Yea probably a mistake. I can't see them halving the memory almost a year later.
I remember Verizons site had several mistakes before. Its amazing how anyone sells technology these days. Back in my day, displays were all technical and legendary. Now your lucky to get any good accurate information.

Eh, give me a minute. I will confirm it with a store manager myself.
Edit:
Just talked with him over Gtalk.
No change was announced from 32GB to 16GB.
He did say that the Razr saw some SD card size changes though.
I've noticed this too. However, on Amazon Wireless, the Verizon Galaxy Nexus is still listed as 32GB. (Links disabled due to my post count, sorry.)
Just last week it was listed as 32GB on VZW.
Looks like the below is 32GB, while it is pre-owned I've had good experiences with vzw pre-owned devices. Tough to beat the price:

I just bought my Galaxy Nexus from BestBuy about 3 days ago. I thought it was a 16GB version, like they all are. Apparently, it's 32GB... brand new. The guy looked at me as if I should have known that, since I was surprised I was getting twice the SD Space for the same price.
Not sure if I got lucky or what... but it's a brand new and 32GB.

There are 2 listings on Verizon - a 16gb with a full retail price of $499 and a CLNR 32GB for $229 no contract or free on contract. If it's a mistake, it's a pretty big one on Verizon's part.

Hii guys,
So ive been saving up some money to buy my new phone. I initially chose the GNex since it is cheaper and other stuff. I'm from india and i thought of buying it from ebay india.
Anyway now that LG nexus 4 release date is close(will it be released in india this november ??) i'm wondering if its still a good move to buy the GNex. I heard that the LG nexus 4 have 2 gb ram etc etc better specs than GNexus ?? Is that true ??
So, i thought of ordering Galaxy nexus this week. Is that a good choice ??
If someone could help me making my choice i would thank it very much
Thanks in advance
Use common sense....plus they pulled gnex from playstore
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Needing LTE or being on Verizon or any other CDMA network are the only two reasons to stay with the GNexus.
lolz.. with that spec and with that price and with you made it obvious... you still dont know the answer?? the spec are way too high than gnex. its a different case if already have a gnex, but since you didnt... oh well "go go for Nexus 4" lolz...
i'm a Nexus collector so i'm getting it while I can.

the price will most likely be similar to the gnex with minor difference..but the specs are better, so its better to wait and buy the n4 rather than get the gnex imo

We don't know if the nexus 4 will launch in India or not. Or when it would launch, if it does. Most people say it would likely be priced at 25k but no one knows for sure.
If you are willing to wait for more than a month for a possible release (which may or may not even happen) or are ready to spend over 25k to order it online and have it shipped, then the nexus 4 is a good choice.
The galaxy nexus is available right now for pretty cheap but it isn't as good as the N4.

It would have been so awesome if they still offered the GNex for like $99 off contract, that would have downright incredible, but obviously would have cut sales from the N4.

The Nexus 4 has a better CPU, GPU, more RAM, slightly bigger and higher resolution LCD screen, wireless charging, and larger battery.
Yet unless something happens to my Galaxy Nexus I'm not upgrading because I've decided there are two things I love about the Galaxy Nexus that isn't available for the Nexus 4:
1) AMOLED screen. I don't care that it's pentile. Maybe my eyesight sucks because I can't tell the difference between pentile and non pentile 720P screens. I can tell the AMOLED screens produce colors I like.
2) Swappable battery. This is crucial for me.
With that said... I wouldn't spend more than $200-$230 on a used Galaxy Nexus... because let's face it... the Nexus 4 is still a beast of a device for the money.
even im eager to buy one here in India.. but i think u shud see this http://pricebaba.com/blog/coming-up-nokia-lumia-510-lg-l9-htc-8x-one-x
Expected price is around 30k in India.. not confirmed though.. Saw in some italian blog too that even there its going to be priced around 550 Euros according to some credible sources.. so if it costs more than double the amt compared with US, I think getting a Gnex makes sense or ask some one to get it from the US.
we are always deprived of all good things in the world or shud pay a lot to get them.. sucks
I know someone asked this question once but the answer he got wasn't solid.
Okay so currently I am a MyTouch 4g user, and I plan of going in for a galaxy Nexus. where I live, selling of fake products is what they do best.
So I was wondering if I could get solid methods or ways of checking if the device is original. Like the MyTouch 4g, I opened terminal emulator and check the Emmc chip type since there were just two types, so if the phone had a different one than the two, I could know it was fake.
So pls send in your ideas.
Thanks

Flash factory image (or any gnex rom) on it. If it works, its real. If it doesn't, its fake.

There are several Chinese manufactured android phones on the market, and they have the android os on it which support android apps but aren't original.
They normally lack the original features like they may say it 16 gig internal but its actually 30 mb,and all that.

I didn't even know they make a fake galaxy nexus....
So....
How about doing the opposite, go in to the store and tell them you want to buy a fake galaxy nexus... if they take the bait and show you one then at least you'll know what it looks like, ask them you explain what makes it fake and afterwards ask to see a real one.

I am not saying I have seen a fake galaxy nexus but I have seen a Chinese nexus 1 and a Chinese s3 mini and Chinese galaxy s duos. And they all run android, but they are Chinese , the use android 2.3 and rename it to android 4.0 and the internal memory is really small although u would see 16 gig or 32gig and to top it up it has multi-touch.

South Korean.
All our phones should have come from the same place Korea.
Is there a Samsung factory churning out high end devices anywhere else other than Korea....? (Samsung is a manufacturer)
