I got mine yesterday, but I hate the amount of trash ATT has loaded on to it. Is there a original WM7.5 version that comes with non-contract Lumia 900 phones sold elsewhere around the world? In other words, is there a rom available with no ATT stuff on it? Cracked version may be?
Any information is sincerely appreciated
Wondering if anyone is using unlocked version in USA, and using the teathering feature. Are you able to use this feature without being charged extra by ATT?
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but you can uninstall all the preloaded AT&T apps. Simply hold them in the app list to the right of the start screen and you have the option to uninstall them. If I'm mistaken, what other AT&T stuff are you referring to?
But is there any way to get mango?

It's already mango.....just remove the bloat ware apps by uninstall....
Press and hold the app in the app list that you want to delete and choose uninstall. Done.
yea, you can uninstall any app you want via a long press.
it's actually running a later build than any other windows phone right now since they had to make one to specifically add LTE support so it should have all the bugfixes in it.
it's so refreshing to not have to jump through hoops to remove crapware.
Hey Guys, I reflashed my Ion to AT&T Firmware because I don't feel right using International Firmware...
I have a grandfathered Unlimited Data from AT&T Will I still be able to tether?
Is there a way to de-bloat this firmware?
Thanks.

You can't use the built in tethering without changing some files. Look for the thread about it in the general section a few pages back. Was started by me. You can root to remove bloatware apps. I would suggest sticking with the international firmware though. Works great and there is no issue running it.

Since you have root just remove the apk for each app from the system/app folder using something like root explorer.

Anyone have experience with BoA mobile pay app and able to get it running on a rooted phone? I am running CleanROM and love it so far, amazing battery life, but if I can't get this app running I will have to revert to stock
I already tried unrooting via SuperSU, no go, rerooted with framaroot. seems like there's always something at every corner!
Check the play store for root hiding apps. ..
I've seen a few. ..but don't remember the names. ..
Perhaps others can chime in with more information. ..g
Been running clear and rooted, and no problems with the bofa app ever.

I would love to help you, but help yourself first: ask a better question

Never had a problem at all stock, rooted any ROM never been an issue.
Hey I was just going through the Google phone app forum and saw you have the tmo branded Moto z2 also, my question is are you using the stock dialer and if it is possible to get Google phone apk that is signed by Google and not that other person. Other question is how do I re enable my RCS service as TMO will be launching universal RCS soon. Thank you in advance for any kind of information. @skywalker-live

To get the Google phone app from the play store I'm using a magisk module from the repo (yes the module says for OP 5/5T but it does work).
As far as rcs services my understanding is that is replacing sms and would be covered with the Google messages app. How did you disable your rcs services? I didn't know there was away to disable it, just that we're waiting for tmo to enable their end for the support.

I got the RCS info from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/z2...-how-to-3rd-party-sms-apps-root-t3661703/amp/ , also what is the magisk? Do I need to be rooted or can I do it without root?

That thread is old, the "bug" with texting was fixed with the 26.7 nougat firmware update. Then reappeared in 27.0 Oreo update and was fixed with the current firmware 27.1 Oreo. Twards the end of that thread is the suggestion to use Android messages, which works great for me both back on nougat and now on Oreo I didn't have to make and modifications to my device for that.
Also that thread makes it sound like TMobile is already using rcs, the problem is it's their own profile instead of the universal one that is being promised.
Magisk is a root manger that can also make modifications to the system without actually touching the system partition.
70-90% of what is found on xda is dependent on being rooted. This phone (motorola) requires breaking the Motorola warranty to unlock the bootloader to be able to root. Unlocking the bootloader will wipe the device.
Having a rooted phone is a great responsibility to read everything about what you do to it and understanding the risks involved, knowing how to fix it before doing the modification. Also keeping everything straight between current and old methods, things can change in a matter of weeks. Developers sometimes change phones every 6 months.

Hello,
Did anyone successfully debloat the device without root?
I purchased a T-Mobile model, comes with too much junk
I've disabled a ton of things until root is possible on this device. But given other recent LG devices on T-Mobile have yet to be bootloader unlocked let alone rooted I doubt this will any time soon.

Yeah ive disabled so much too but it feels so much better to have that system space back. Off topic but have you had any luck with replacement launchers? Im afraid LG launcher will still run in the background
Care to post a list of what you removed?
What are you using to disable/debloat the apps that can't be disabled via app manager?
I have the same version and we can't get rid of a lot of stuff even to disable is greyed out.
