First when I call someone I can't hear them but it suddenly starts working again and then it doesn't anymore..
Secondly my phone doesn't charge or at least it doesn't say it's charging and sometimes its not pluged in but it shows charging
And finally along with this issues the power button doesn't lock the screen but I can use ir to power it off
I tried rebooting but it doesn't help I've never flash it or anything I'm on 4.0.4 internet and sms work great

i think youve water damaged your phone ... thats what happend to my freinds except its not that crazy .. sometimes it shows charging when its not and sometimes itll shut off for a day and nto turn on .. you might wanna consider replacing your battery (i think that might help)
As stated above, it sounds like water damage.
You may want to fastboot back to complete stock to check whether the problem persists. If it does, it's a hardware problem.

I would unlock boot loader and flash 4.1.1

How can I know if my boatloader is locked? Or is it by default?

Turn off your phone and hold Vol +/- and power, this will boot you into the bootloader, at the bottom it will say bootloader status (locked/unlocked). Or when you turn on your phone and it shows the Google logo, there will be a lock at the bottom, if that lock is opened your bootloader is unlocked.
Ok thanks and another thing isn't it a way to receive the update officially?

I just got a new sgs2 thru a warranty exchange, but for some reason this one doesnt have a lockscreen. I press the power button and It just opens to my homescreen, also when I hold the power button it just shuts down instead of giving me the lil options of shutting down, airplane, etc. will installing a ROM fix these issues or do I gotta get a new one again?? Thanks

Yes a new rom should clear this up np. the rom im using actually gives you the option to remove the lockscreen all together. the prior user of your phone must have removed the lockscreen.... Either that or they have some shady software program that restores the phones at tmobil.

Ok good, tomorrow im borrowing my sis' laptop so I can root this phone and install a ROM. Hopefully that fixes it.

I wonder if Widget Locker alone is enough to fix your problem.
Greetings,
I was wondering if there's any way to make my screen turn on when I receive messages like when I'm getting a call. I usually have my phone on vibrate and if I won't see the led I just forget to check it.

There's an app on the market called SMS Popup that does what you want.

I've tried it and it unlocks the phone everytime I get a text. If I get any message and the phone is on my pocket, god knows what I will sent back
You could try handcent...have an option in settings to turn screen on and i think does not unlock the phone

This one works pretty neat. It doesnt unlock the phone plus it has more features
thanks guys!
So I was listening to music on my phone with slim bean and it fell behind the bed and when I found it all it does is say Samsung and vibrate in a consistent pattern. Also if I remove the battery and put it back in it vibrates as soon as battery/charger is connected. Does this mean it somehow got in bootloader mode? If so is their a way to get it out without my PC? I tried getting into twrp but. No avail.

These is a similar thread floating around here where people have had this issue when using Pandora. See if you can search for it.

Thank you, I fell into a noob panic. Thanks for calming me down lol. Looks like I may have a power button issue on my hands

No problem. I knew there was something on it but didn't know the details. People have also had a similar problem with Pandora. Don't know if that's what you were listening to, but there seems there's a problem with Pandora and the latest roms.

I was listening to music from my SD card. I got it to boot
But I didn't have the similar in and when I rebooted it it did the same thing. Also got it to load the tarp splash and it rebooted then and I can see the screen flicker like it was booting and the power button was pressed. Looks like I'm going to have to send it off. Hope I can get it replaced for free if not I'm gonna look at a different phone.

I have a droid incredible 2 with android version 2.3.5, and miui version 112300. I have had a few problems with it. First of all, it won't let me pick up when people call me. I can call people, just not pick up. And then out of no where my lock button stopped working. I have to plug it in to unlock it and basically have to keep it on all day. I've done a reset and it didn't do anything. What should I do? Please help!
Maybe your lock button is faulty?
I think you can add an option for your volume buttons to wake up the phone.

If I remember correctly miui 12.9 was the last usable build. Not saying that's what's wrong- just food for thought. 12.30 had issues

maybe do a full wipe and reinstall will work
I have heard of those buttons going bad.
Use the volume rocker wake option. If you need to use the power button try taking the back off, then use it.

so i had a gnex with a busted usb port. i was using my moms gnex battery in the meantime to send a few important tests before i went off the air, and then i got a HTC One (which is awesome btw) to replace it, but when i got the usb pcb to replace the busted one, i replaced it all and triple checked all connections before putting phone back together.
Basically the problem is this. power button wont do anything. the battery i have i know has a 50% charge on it. I tried the pull battery put in usb put in battery trick and that gets me to the charging logo for about 15 seconds and then the phone turns off.
Do i have a bricked phone?
any ideas?
