I don't think so. The usb controller on the device is just for connecting to a computer. It doesn't have host mode enabled. It's how the hardware is designed. So in short - no.
unless there is a modified kernel in the future to support OTG device support.:silly:

The hardware does not have this capability. So it's no.

I did that and it only gave me 3 options:
1. USB tethering
2. Bluetooth tethering
3. Help
I don't get the probable hotspot option.

Hehe, third times a charm? Read the sticky thread under Android Development. Click on this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1726558 and watch the video! It's step-by-step, so easy to do. Your answer is there, as I've told you three times now, in three separate threads, where you've asked the same exact question three times.

This is not a problem with my phone its a friends.
He has tried every cm9 stable, cm10, and other roms to see if it would fix he tried Odin back to stock but his phone wouldn't show up. He has all the drivers installed. But mounting mass storage just doesn't work. I've read a few threads where people say its a bug with t-989 but I'm not sure cause I don't own the phone.
Once again this is not my phone its a friends. I own a skyrocket he owns t989. Just trying to figure it out for him. Thanks for your support.
Edit: oh and it does charge through USB port just doesn't mount.

I don't know why my USB OTG is not working anymore.
It used to be working when I bought my note II early, but now it isn't.
When I plug the OTG to my note II it has only "USB connector connected" appeared in a few seconds and then disappear, nothing happens after that.
Have tried mounting applications such as StickMount, USB OTG Helper but doesn't solve the problem.
What's wrong with my phone?
Anyone knows?

Have you tried using a different USB port / cord? I know that our phones don't play well with 3.0 usb ports.
