It's CWM.
Just reflash new recovery.

Its the feature/bug of CWM.. It happens with everybody.. Nothiong to worry about.
If you want it to stay shutdown then you need to change your recovery to TWRP.
Search and you will find the related thread. Install and you are done

Ok thanks
Cwm 5.8.4.0 fixed all known problems including charging when off. Just upgrade your recovery.

Try reflashing then erase cache from fastboot.
If it doesn't work, then you may have to switch to TWRP.

Nice bump here !
Cwm 5.8.4.0 still has the bug as of today ! The latest ones should have fixed it.

A re flash would probably take care of it, been running 5.8.4.0 for ages and haven't had this happen.

Did you flash the boot.IMG in fastboot, if you did you can try "fastboot erase cache" without the commas

Hello guys, I recently re-rooted my one after facing problems with intial root and then unrooting. The problem is that when I try to get into recovery, a red triangle appears on my phone with an exclamation mark. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks a lot for any help
The red triangle is the stock recovery
You must reflash a custom recovery in fastboot

What did the previous owner flash? (run?) Are you able to select and boot into Recovery from the Bootloader? If so, boot into recovery and Factory Reset or re-flash your ROM.
Sorry auto correct got me it was ruu not run and no it will not go into recovery I select it and it goes for 1 second then kicks me back to bootloader
I don't have any experience high HTC so I'm stuck

Try reflashing TWRP recovery in fastboot and see if you can then boot into recovery. Or you can try to reflash RUU or even just the boot.img. I am not a super expert on this, so hopefully someone will chime in.

To flash twrp recovery go to this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=44887571
[RECOVERY] TWRP 2.6.3.0 touch recovery
Also, if you search around Google and xda you will find great step-by-step instructions and tutorials on how to setup and use adb/fastboot to flash and such.

Looks like he may be screwed. It says locked and s-on. He can't flash a recovery. If there's no ROM installed, you can't exactly use rumrunner. Might need to send it to sonic.

Unfortunately, might be. Odd that it was working fine, what would possess someone to try and flash the RUU? Anyway, if you tried flashing recovery, did you try and flash the system.img, boot.img and recovery_signed.img into their respective slots?
You should be able to find the files from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2437436
You will just need to unzip and extract those files, then flash them in fastboot to their respective partitions.
Other then that, I would say your bricked unless, like what tylerlawhon said, you can see if you can send it to sonic to s-off again.
You could maybe also try reading through this if the previous didn't work, I know it says must be s-off and unlocked, but possibly worth a read

Then it would behoove you to pose your question in a Forum for the AT&T HTC One. The one you're in now is dedicated to the Verizon HTC One.

You are talking about a Desire, this is for Desire HD and not the Bravo model. Have you checked that?

And your bootloader is unlocked? Also, you're flashing the ROM zip from recovery first, then flashing the boot.img from fastboot, right?
Yeah bootloader is unlocked, and I might have done it the other way round I'll try that.

In that case I would suggest that you flash a RUU and see if that works. You will need to relock the bootloader for that.
Well going to give it another shot before I do your suggestion on the RUU, I'll let you no how it goes

When switching ROMs it is pretty much always necessary to clear the /data partition before booting the new ROM. I didn't see you mention that you'd done this anywhere (sorry if I missed it).
