One X turn on by itself while charging - HTC One X

Hi all, I have a problem with my hox. In the evening, usually I turn off my phone and put it on charge but the next morning I find it turned on! Someone said this is a recovery problem and I had the same problem when I had a sensation xe. I solved that time but I don't remember in that way!! Please help me.

It's CWM.

Just reflash new recovery.

Its the feature/bug of CWM.. It happens with everybody.. Nothiong to worry about.
If you want it to stay shutdown then you need to change your recovery to TWRP.
Search and you will find the related thread. Install and you are done

Try reflashing then erase cache from fastboot.
If it doesn't work, then you may have to switch to TWRP.

Nice bump here !
Cwm 5.8.4.0 still has the bug as of today ! The latest ones should have fixed it.
Twrp & Phil's touch recovery's

Haha, yes. It was a nice bump but itsbkibda necessary because still happening. Lets see go the update or reflash works

A re flash would probably take care of it, been running 5.8.4.0 for ages and haven't had this happen.

i have the same problem though i am using the CWM touch 5.8.4.0 and it has that bug...so far when i was using normal 5.8.4.0 i didnt had that...but oh well nothing major to worry

Is your power cable in when it does this?? If you have most recent recovery that shouldn't be the problem. It was a few versions ago though

This is a known bug/feature (comes in handy if your power button is busted), just unplug your device and power off, it'll stay off.

I solved the problem by unistalling CWM and went with 4ext touch recovery. My phone can actually charge with it being off now.

Ok, but it can charge while being off with CWM too. Just leave it at the recovery screen and it'll turn off.

I can't say I had this probem before, however with CWM installed I have had the problem that when my phone is off and charging it will then turn itself on at around 50% charge. Not sure if anyone has had this problem?

[Q] HTC One X almost dead :(

Hello all,
I'm asking for you help about my dead (almost) HTC ONE X that I got 1 month ago...
I tried to flash a new custom ROM on it and everything went fine for rooting and stuff...
The ROM that I was supposed to flash needed a boot.img to be flashed first, which I did but I forgot to put the ZIP containing the custom ROM in my sdcard. Now, when I reboot my phone, it freezes on the HTC logo and can't go on.
I still can get it connected via adb and recovery.
I restored my backup but it doesn't change a thing to make it work.
I tried a hard factory reset
I pushed the zip file that I was supposed to flash, but when I try to flash it from recovery, it can't be found!!!
I don't know what else to do, I need help......please and thank you in andvance !
Go to recovery, mounts and storage, then mount usb storage. With your usb-cable connected you sould be able to copy over your ROM to sd-card and flash normally.

Try to mount several times. If that doesn't work you need to flash another recovery such as twrp. What version of cwm are you on?

Alright stay cool, your phone isn't bricked. Download this: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img. and flash in fastboot. Go to fastboot> fastboot flash recovery [the file.img] After that try mounting again and it should work.

EDIT: In other ways, what ROM do you suggest me to use that's stable and fully working ?

The rom you were about to flash in the first place. The one you have already flashed the boot.img from.

I can highly recommend CM10 provided that you can live without sense. Really smooth and fully functional.
And remember to flash the boot.img from CM10 if you decide to install it.

Is it alright with my fastboot version and the recovery one that I try this ROM or others ?

I've never tried skydragon ROM and still think you should flash CyanogenMod 10. It is totally safe for everyday use. You can find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1786696
And one more thing: flashing skydragon requires updating hboot which might be too tricky and has its own disadvantages so not recommending that.

Some roms are more minimal with just the basic apps, whereas some are nearer to the official HTC roms, with Sense etc.
Make sure that you have the correct firmware HBoot for any particular rom. By the sounds of it, you can't currently install the JellyBean custom roms (bar CM10) with the Hboot you have.

[Q] [Help] Stuck at boot screen after JB update

So I probably made some enormous stupid mistake.
Have rooted unbranded hox that didnt install ota (returned to clockwork recovery) and used this instead:

Installed without errors, and updated without errors, but stuck at boot screen.
Wont come back to recovery with volume down either.
Didnt read the thread as well as I should have and now I need help figuring out how to access recovery!

Working on it. Will update boot.img and try again.

Will give up and go to sleep.
1. have accessed recovery without problems.
2. have flashed boot.img from the official rom via pc
3. have installed official rom via recovery
4. still stuck at loading screen
and
1. have tried using boot tool
2. locking (unrooting) goes ok
3. ruu starts up ok
4. cant install because of low batt.
have left phone in recovery to load battery over night.
is there anything else im doing wrong?
Sent from my GT-P7500 using xda premium
Finally...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQasxRPopSM
My problem was partially low battery and partially my phone not accepting update to hboot (probably due to low battery)
It didnt load enough in clockwork so I had to leave it on the "script" for a day...
Tnahx to those who helped!
