App that clears cache and stuff? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey all,
I'm just wondering if there are any apps that you can recommend that clears cache and junk files left behind after uninstalling an app. Something that runs like Ccleaner.
Thanks!

Astro File Man Help and Clearing Cache ETC

Hi Guys.
Looking for a little bit of help
Hope this is in the right section.
Basically i have had astro file manager on my phone for a couple of weeks now.
I use it too move the odd file hear and there and clear internal caches etc.
I also use it too delete folders full of stuff i no longer have.
ie. I uninstalled xscope web browser but there was still a folder for this in astro so i deleted the folder.
Should i be doing this??
Also is there a better way too clear all of the unwanted stuff from my phone like the folders with nothing in etc??
And is there a way i can clear all caches from my apps to free up a little space every week?
What do you guys do to ensure there is as less clutter as possible?
On a slightly different note how can i arrange my folders within my pictures so that i can have sub folders like family, friends, 2010 holiday etc etc?
Im sure i have a million questions but ill get these first ones out the way first
Thanks for your help
And FYI im running android 2.1 unrooted on a Virgin HTC desire (don't know when ill get the update through was led to believe the 15th september)
any help on this.
I went through my apps individually via settings > apps > manage apps
sorted them via size and cleared all the biggest files cache.
Freed up 10mb of space.
What damage am i doing or what information am i losing by doing this though??
Or will i notice no difference myself when in these apps with cleared cache?
Theres an app called "quick app clean cache" its not free but very cheap, works as a good cache cleanner for non rooted phones, you can clean all cache with 1 click on a rooted phone but on stock phones the app lists every app thats got a cache and tells you the size so you dont have to check every single app.

What info will I loss though. Anything important. Market has 3mb cache. Will it effect me deleting all caches

You mentioned about folders on your sd card, but the threads about internal space?
Deleting caches will generally only delete thumbnails etc which are there to speed up file browsing. You wont loose anything important if you delete them.

No, they will only go if you clear the data from the app, not the cache.
You can delete any cache files, they shouldnt effect anything, the browser, market, facebook & youtube ushally have the largest.
Some apps like facebook, twitter & movies (flixster) seem to grow in data size (not just cache) when you use them,
clearing the data deletes all info so dont clear data on anything like contacts or anything important, but on those 3 its ok as it just means putting your user name & PW in again and reactivationg the settings/notifications. Shouldnt take more than a min or 2

Remove tweetdeck from market list

In market, I installed tweetdeck like everyother app, but now I've uninstalled it and it stays in the list of my apps. Its not doing anything wrong but its really starting to annoy me!!!!!
Im running cyanogenmod 6.1 if it makes a difference.
I've tried clearing data and cache btw.

You mean it still shows in your app drawer? Or in the market download history?
If it's in your market download history, going under manage applications and clearing data should have taken care of the problem.

got to clear market data, to clear that list of previously installed apps, but your paid apps will still show
Titanium backup has a way to remove market links from certain apps. Just long press on it and choose remove from market. That should work

Removing apk's

Quick question for someone that knows more than me, if I delete an apk from the system folder on any given Rom will that remove the app and install it? Would it leave any remnants behind to possibly drain battery? Thanks for any info.

Technically what's left behind won't drain battery as there isn't an apk to run, but you may want to wipe data for the app you're removing since the data will remain. You can do that through settings > applications > manage applications, then the "all" tab. Find the app you're going to remove and "clear data". This will also clear the cache. Or you can use Titanium Backup to wipe the data of the app. If you're going to use Titanium, you may as well just uninstall it from there. If you have the pro key for TB you can also freeze the app.
Ok thanks a lot.

Why do notifications for certain apps stop working after restoring?

I restore "missing apps and data" with TiBu. Then I never get notifications for certain apps until I uninstall / reinstall. Any idea how to fix this?
I had the same issue. Facebook and messenger in particular...
everyone here recommends titanium, but I haven't liked it much...
sent from outer space, probably

Well i realized once In uninstall / re-install they show up again. I use TiBu too. Might just have to not restore data for those apps

[Q] App Cleaner

That's the one I use I bought the Pribkeyandcstill unsure of the extras but corpse cleaner, duplicate tracker all kinds of good stuff.
Another more simplified app is Cache Cleaner NG. You can details a time spit clears cache once a day preventing any lag like that's even an issue on this phone

Well. I preffer Clean Master: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard&feature=search_result
What I like is that every time you uninstall an application, immediately informs me if this has left residual files and gives me the option to remove them, has a widget for each I want to stop applications running in the background (which you can filter that not hold), and that every so often it shows the cache left by applications that you remove as you wish.
Is excellent!
