In market, I installed tweetdeck like everyother app, but now I've uninstalled it and it stays in the list of my apps. Its not doing anything wrong but its really starting to annoy me!!!!!
Im running cyanogenmod 6.1 if it makes a difference.
I've tried clearing data and cache btw.

You mean it still shows in your app drawer? Or in the market download history?
If it's in your market download history, going under manage applications and clearing data should have taken care of the problem.

got to clear market data, to clear that list of previously installed apps, but your paid apps will still show
Titanium backup has a way to remove market links from certain apps. Just long press on it and choose remove from market. That should work

Over the last few days all the apps I uninstall are not removing themselves from my market downloads page. So now I have a bunch of crap apps cluttering up my list. Is there anyway to clean up the market downloads list and remove all these free apps I don't care about since I uninstalled them? They're making it so all my updates are getting dispersed through the list, which is quite annoying. I'm running the latest CM6 Nightly.

go into SETTINGS>APPLICATIONS and clear the cache and data for the Market app. Open it up, it will re-gather the list, and you should be good to go!
Nope, tried that already and somehow they are still coming back
These are free apps by the way, I know that you can't get the paid apps to leave your downloads list.
Market in general is a joke compared to Apple App Store. I have been having the same issue.
I find it really stupid that if I click on a banner for an advertised game or app it doesn't take me there. They need to get rid if soundboards, themes and junk.

Titanium Backup has an option that removes apps from My Downloads when you uninstall them from Titanium.

I tried reinstalling all the apps in the list, removing them all with Titanium with "Remove Market Entry" set, clearing cache and data for Market, and then rebooting... and they're all still in the bloody list. I also made a nandroid backup and wiped /data and when I logged into Market they all tried to install automatically with the apps I actually care about. Why can't I get these apps to go away?... D:

Uh, you hold the Apple App Store in such high regard, and it's full of soundboards and plenty of other "junk".
It may be a PIA, but I would try wiping everything, flashing CM and gapps and skipping the setup process. Once the system loads, go into settings and make sure backup data/apps (I can't remember exactly what its called or which settings folder its in) and then open the market and sign in.

I wish there was a way to filter crap app developers out of the market. I never want to see an app by a few developers that seem to just make stupid apps over and over (that ringclip guy, for instance) I remember there was an alternate market app a while back that let you do this, but I can't find it anymore.

Didnt mean to hurt your feelings. If you've ever had an apple product that accessed the app store you would know what I'm talking about.
1. When you uninstall an app it shouldn't remain in your downloads folder. This is very annoying and you find yourself clicking on the app you just deleted by mistake.
2. Android has a lot good apps but most of them are buried under junk apps.
3. The banners that I'm referring to is when you view all apps. It'll show me a banner of a cool looking game and if clicked on it should take me straight to the game but it doesn't.

This must be a problem with CM. I am running Fresh 3.3.0.1 and I just happened to have unistalled a bunch of apps today (all either uninstalled through the market or through settings/applications). After I uninstalled them I rebooted and they are now gone from my Market downloads page.
I have the same issue on stock 3.29 w/ root. Odex.

If i do a Level 2 ram clean up with the stock task manager, my messages wont send and xda app wont open. When i try xda, it does the "buzz......buzz buzz buzz" then force close xda. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I now have been just doing a reboot once a day instead of clearing the ram. I noticed I have a few apps that don't enjoy being cleared out with the stock manager. I am happy with how android does its ram management now and really only clear it when I have been playing with lot of media files.

Problem is, apps like xda, youtube, qik, market, messaging, facebook, twitter and countless others stay in ram after you close them. Makes my phone slow cause I use most every one of those constantly. So clearing my ram manually is needed. I like the task manager way more than the "manage applications" settings ,but if this keeps hapening, I might just have to start force stopping apps the long way.

Or just sign out of apps like Facebook, Twitter and youtube then sign back in. I do this once a week to keep it clean, it dumps the data. This version of Touchwiz is a mess.

I'm running ACS Syndicate Frozen Rom, and there is no backup option in my privacy settings. Is this an Epic, Syndicate, or EB13 issue? My paid apps are not showing up in my market. I want Beautiful Widgets back. Help please.
This may be a stupid question for you, but are you logged in with your google account that you used to purchase the apps. They should automatically show up in the market and show that you purchased them.

It doesn't matter what the.rom has. Once you sign Into your Google acct then it syncs everything to your phone. All your paid apps will be.listed in the market under my apps and then you just download them.

So I do see that the apps that I backed up are now being recognized by the market and are appearing under "My Apps". However, paid apps that I previously purchased (launcherpro icons for example) that I forgot to back up are not being listed and downloaded. If I find this app in the market, it asks me to pay again for it. Did I lose those apps forever?
O have never seen that before cause everytime I flash some thing all my paid apps appear when I log into my acct. Maybe you could contact the developer of the app and explain your situation. Sorry bro I don't have another answer for you. Did u happen to make a nand backup at all? If you did you could restore from that. Good luck man.

Thanks for your help. My app market is themed. If it is not a stock market, could that be the reason my non-backed up paid apps don't appear in MyApps?
Like one of the previous posts said, you can try contacting the developer and see what they say. As far as purchased apps not showing, I've never seen that happen. Usually when I log in with my google account the only apps that show in my market are the paid ones. don't think it has anything to do with you having backed them up or not.

I like to uninstall as much bloat as possible, and I've found that on some roms with sense 2.1/3.0 that something I am removing causes neither sense nor launcher pro to start upon boot. My status bar is in tact but I can't access anything in it. I usually restore all my user apps then uninstall bloat ware, and I keep deleting something on the newer sense that causes this. Any thoughts or ideas about whats ok to remove on some of the newer sense roms?
What ROM are you running? I'm sporting MikG 2.42, experimenting what I can remove and not. I'll have a list up in a minute, what works for me.
Do you want to get rid of HTC Hub, lockscreen and Rosie? Any HTC apps you want left in?
I'm using MIKG 2.42 at the moment. I remove all htc widgets, rosie, htc location services, htc location picker, sense (Yes I have launcher pro installed prior to removing sense/rosie), htc hub, I don't remove htc lockscreen as I've found that doing so causes me to not be able to answer phone calls.
Another issue I'm noticing, with 2.42, when I removed all the apps that were moved to data, when someone calls and my screen is off, I'm unable to answer, there is no slider or anything.
Usually what I do is use Root Explorer to delete apps out of System/Apps then Data/Apps then I wipe all of Data/Data. Then I boot into recovery and wipe cache and dalvik. That prevents the blank lockscreen/no slider thing.
I never noticed that stock lockscreen have-to-swipe call issue, thanks for pointing that out. Lemme flash back to MikG and tell you what I did leave in.. I always take out a lot.
When you peruse the system/app folder with a system level file manager like Root Explorer, I would argue that most of the apks that are listed are pretty self-explanatory and the associated icons also make it easy. For example: peep, flickr, Facebook, Twitter, FM Radio, Weather Wallpaper, etc. are well labeled as well as their associated widgets. If you are new to this, I recommend that you download and install the Titanium Backup app. With it, you can 'freeze' and app that you are considering removing but are unsure if it is safe to do so. 'Freezing' renders it useless and if you discover that you need that app or your device has become somewhat unstable with it being frozen, you can always "defrost' it.
Unfortunately none of my cards will work in purchasing Titanium Backup Pro... It's so annoying. I'm considering calling in my free Windows 7 upgrade, starting fresh with partitioning my hard drive and installing Ubuntu so I can start cooking a little.

This would explain alot, I've noticed with these combo sense roms, not just MikG, that there is alot of stuff crammed into the rom, usually leaving me with only 30 or 40 megs of rom space. A full clean out of the other folders you mentioned would make sense. I've gone to AOSP for now, mainly evo deck. Once I removed the few items in evo deck I didn't want like wall papers and ringtones etc i got the rom down to 60 megs. The sense combo's are so jam packed with extras that it really takes away from the speed of the phone. Evodeck and AOSP is so small and tight I can't argue with the results. Thanks for the information, I would still love a solid list of things to remove and not to remove.
Hey guys,
So I have flashed many roms between my two phones and have never had this issue before. I recently flashed Virtuous Unity on my Inc2 and recovered all of my apps with Titanium Backup. Now usually after installing an app or 2 all of my restored apps appear under 'My apps" in the market, but not this time. Only about 10 of them are there. If I search for an app I have installed it says 'Installed, but still wont show up under my apps.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Clear the cache on the market and restart the phone. I have this problem all the time and eventually all my apps will show up in the market.
Are these paid apps? I usually only see my paid apps in your situation, rarely all of them. Have you looked at the Market website? It does a pretty good job of listing every app you've ever installed.
