I think it needs to be updated. Every time I tried to load it, it would soft brick my fire and I'd have to dirty flash the rom to get it back up.

I seem to be having the same issues on GNex AOKP JB 4.1.1 with Fanco #230 and Gapps for JB. Just can't seem to get it past the Google splash screen.
I know my install setup is good on ICS, but JB is JUST BULLHEADED when it comes to somethings right now.
Any updates or thoughts are always appreciated.

same here, chainfire does not work on jelly bean (tried it on my htc one x)
same here, not work in x10 mini pro with minicm10
Nope, just accidentally bootlooped my Xperia Arc running Aokp CM10...
I can also confirm this...
Skyrocket with Paranoid Android ROM ... I really wanted to run HORN.
any news ?
bootloops my Galaxy S3 on JB stock ... cwm saved me ...
any news if there is development to update it ?
Same here for SG Note...
My N7000 has a brand new ParanoidAndroid v2.99 (JB 4.2.1) installation, and no go for CF3D here either. Stuck me at the 'GT-N7000' boot screen and I needed ADB in recovery to uninstall CF3D to get it running again. Bummed, I am. I need it to play Spectral Souls, which is supposed to just run on my machine

Did anyone experience problems with this game? I installed it and it downloaded the extra files, but then it couldn't open, it just closes right after the splash screen...

That's weird because I played it on my GNex and it worked fine. I use my own compiled ROM from source. I think I played it when I was running 4.1.2 and just now tried it on 4.2.1 and it is working fine as well.
It may be helpful if you mention the exact android version you are running now whether it is 4.1.x or 4.2.x so hopefully someone else may be able to help you play this great game
Good Luck
The game plays with no problems on my gnex. I'm on stock 4.2.1.
I've got the game and it works perfectly without any trouble on stock 4.2.1... It might be because you're using CyanogenMod but I don't think it should make that much of a difference. I've never had trouble with the start up or running the game.
I'm on 4.1.2.. I sent a mail to the developers, seems strange to me though... i'm even using Franco kernel if that matters..

Maybe it is easier to change your kernel first, delete the whole game and install it with the additional files from scratch before changing the ROM to something other than CM10. I use Trinity Kernel and the game is working fine on 4.1.2 and 4.2.1 as I mentioned earlier.
I tried but no luck.
I've dumped a logcat, maybe someone could help me reading it out to search for the issue...

I am not familiar with logcat but hopefully someone else will help in this.
Why don't you make a nandroid backup of your CM 10 then wipe and flash another custom ROM then try running the game??? If it works on the new ROM then you will be sure that it is related to CM 10. Afterwards, you can easily restore your CM 10 via the nandroid backup you made and narrow your troubleshooting to CM 10.
Just my suggestion until someone responds to your logcat

Running backups in recovery phone will shutdown in the middle of running backup and last but not least... BRICK THE PHONE... I just ran JTAG on the phone and retried using this recovery and it had all these issues and bricked the phone again. Not trying to cause problems but be for warned..

He is compiling them. The Kindle fire base and the kernel is developed by Hashcode. Slim, AOKP, and Carbon implementations are all created by their perspective developers. Does that answer your question? Compiling a Rom is just a matter of setting up the proper environment and repositories then letting it rip. Well there`s a bit more to it than that but you get the jist.
Yeah he's exactly right. ^ also, I test the first build to make sure it does work and then I put it out if anyone wants to use it. I am building these myself. I can take screenshots of the builds straight from my computer if you'd like.
I may not be able to maintain all these ROMs, but I'd like to put the options out there. I might have to request for other people to maintain the aokp and slimbean thread if life gets too busy. I was originally only planning on maintaining carbon.. So I will keep going with that.
Thanks for the ports. Slimbean runs well, no real problems or quibbles I've found so far.
36 hours and one full cycle into this one and all is good. Seems SlimBean has settled in nicely on my KF. Thanks androidsftw! Your efforts to bring this variety of ROMs for us is greatly appreciated here!

Not sure why people are being skittish about using the ROM, I've run it for about a week now and it's rock solid stable! Fast and smooth...definitely one of the best 4.3.1 ROMs out.
Edit; Ive been using a few of the KitKat 4.4 system apks ( Play services, email, GEL Launcher, keyboard...) from here without any issues, making this Rom just that much more awesome. Can't wait for SlimRom to get updated to the new base!
