They say to use the latest twrp so this isn't a dumb question but I installed unofficial cm10.1 using twrp 2.2.2.1 and wanna know if I can use twrp 2.2.2.1 on official cm10.1 (please note what I mean by official is the one you download straight from cyanogenmod) and also note that the stable version came out not long ago, maybe not even an hour ago which is the one that I want
You should be fine. But just to be sure use this:
http://db.tt/IncPgOvq
It is a flashable zip. Just into TWRP and flash!!! thanks to @Ichigo. Go thank him!

OK but how do I download it is my question,I have stock browser because I installed twa-privs unofficial cm10.1 after having the infinite charging problem on aosp and even the battery drain didn't work to just test it after switching to using my nexus 7 as my daily driver and I want to flash this in hopes that it would bring new life into my of but when I attempted to download this I went through the download switch selection box thingamajig and then my ROM froze and then all the sudden it gave me something that I used to get all the time on stock, the reboot crash.
Use your computer. Always the best way. Otherwise just download in another browser?

Hey blackwing182, if you have time, could you please port over sk8's latest recovery. He fixed up the custom zip maker and added a few other features which makes it nice. The latest version as of today is v14.4.5. I appreciate it. :fingers-crossed:
Please < FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK> This recovery has Issues. I am working on a customers phone that tried flashing this recovery. It will cause issues. Random shutdowns,
Running backups in recovery phone will shutdown in the middle of running backup and last but not least... BRICK THE PHONE... I just ran JTAG on the phone and retried using this recovery and it had all these issues and bricked the phone again. Not trying to cause problems but be for warned..
I've never had any of those issues. I've been on Sk8erwitskil's recovery since tdj first recommended way back when. Sounds like seriously bad downloads on your end.

The Hercules 4.1.2 leak has not been leaked. So far all kernels and ROMs that claim to be 4.1.2 official are based off Skyrocket. Until we get our leak Skyrocket is our only hope.

Hello, I am looking for a stable rom for my 8 y/o daughters Kindle. I was thinking about just unrooting it and letting her just use it that way. But I have a lot of games on my Play account that she will lose. Can you recommend any roms?
You want a stable rom? Well, then I recommend the HorseROM.
But seriously, I like twa_priv's work. Also take a look at the SmoothRom port by Ichigo.

you can't go wrong with CM 10.1.2 stable.

I've noticed that the amazon os is much easier for a youngster to get the hang of.

CM UnOfficial Nightlies
This is a take over from Carlos_Manuel who has been building CM 10.2 since release. I am just here to sync CM's source code and build it, Although if I can help I will or other users will help so please ask any question you like.
and I encourage open chat about roms / kernels etc as we all learn more that way, but please be respectful of others and remember it's easy to take something the wrong way when your comunicating with so many different languages/cultures so please keep it clean and have fun.
Cheers
Steve
I'm not responsible for anything (unless it's a positive), you flash at your own risk.
MAGURO ONLY
Changelog
due to there not being an official cm release yet, there is no official changelog.
I do not know what changes between my builds as lot's of devs merge commits at any time.
all i do is sync nightly and build if the source allows me to
so sorry no changelog.
Root info
after clean flash you need to activate root access (do not flash any other su as cm has built in superSU)
go into settings/about phone and tap build number 7 times (this activates developer options)
then go into settings/developer options/root access and select or toggle off/on "apps and adb"
now you should have working root
Wipe info:
if coming from a 4.2 based rom then do a dirty flash first time. (no wipes) then after full boot, reboot into recovery and factory reset, then reflash the rom and gapps a second time. (let me know if you have bootloops as this should stop them).
if coming from another 4.3 based rom clean wipe
if coming from previous build then dirty flash unless I state otherwise.
Download info:
Download the rom from the link below and place on sdcard.
Download a 4.3 Gapps package and place on sdcard
Do appropriate wipe (see above).
Flash rom.
Flash gapps.
Reboot
Rom Downloads Links:https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BxRASawXllipdjJaVnBMUEw0cDA&usp=sharing
Gapps Download Links (by other): use P.As 4.3 gapps for now.
This rom is pure CM except the ble fix below.
All Credit goes to the CyanogenMod Team. http://www.cyanogenmod.org/
Thank Carlos_Manuel for his ble fix. http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=4022928
