My phone is getting stuck at the M oto logo after flasing the multiboot touchbootmenuv2.0 beta. But the 2nd system will boot fine if i try to boot it. Any suggestions ?????
What is your Nand ROM?
If you have the latest cm9 epsylon build, touchbootmenu with multiboot won't work.
I had the same problem.

With latest Qarx too
Same here. Had to roll back to multiboot 0.61. Still takes lot of time to boot into virtual rom (cm10 for me). cm9 on nand works perfect however...

for installing cm7 do you need cm6 then upgrade to cm7 or you can just get cm7, and also, is cm7 a good build or should i wait until its more stable?
There's already been a Release Candidate for CM7 which is pretty stable, so far it's running wonderfully. It just doesn't have all the features and tweaks of CM6.
As for the first part, no you don't have to have CM6 first. You can just flash CM7.
You don't need CM6 to install CM7. Just make sure you also flash the correct Gapps.zip for the market to work.

Yes it should be gapss-gb-01202011.zip, if you flash an earlier one for froyo you get boot loops.

Did you flash Gapps?
You have to flash the rom, then before you reboot, flash the gapps.zip. Do a wipe and then flash them one after the other.
I have as main rom MIUI 2.3.7a and i wanted install with multiboot CM9, the last thing is that I worked with was 20111202 multiboot since I fail to boot another, if someone has it so I can say as do it or if this can do

The kernal has been updated it wont boot up until you update your kernal there is a zip for both cm7 kernal and cm9 kernal
So in stable recovery I updated to cm9 kernal this stopped my cm7 booting but cm9 starts to work in multiboot (custom recovery ) and then installed cm7 kernal to get back to cm7 otherwise it wont boot up at all you have to keep flashing the kernals to go from one to the other

Use Kernel of FreeXperia ?
Put your problems directly to the thread reserved for Cyanogen ROM...
It will be much effective I think
what is free xperia kernel?
i tired installing doom kernel v3 also dont work
Ok I have the same kernel that you and I have no problem...
FreeXperia proposes its kernel CM7 in the 7z archive (boot.img)
(step 2 - flash new kernel (always use the kernel provided in CM7 / it is incompatible with stock ROM))
Reinstall again your ROM...

Hello all, I have been arduously trying to install lightening Zap v1 to my LG Nitro HD (P930) with no success. I have tried several flashing software through links I have found on this site with no success.
1. I have tried LG Flash tool v1.3.77.21 "errors" LG/USB Parallel Lock Key is not detected clicked "OK" and prompted for "ID" and "PASSWORD" I cannot get past this step.
Lastly, specifically, how do I just flash the Lightening Zap to the phone? Do I just extract the zip files and place the files on my SD card and reboot or will I need flash the operating ROM at the same time. I appreciate any and all patience to assist.
You use CWM recovery to flash lightning zap. No need to flash a ROM with it unless you're wanting to. That's it.

Thank you for the response. I am waiting on a new SIM to root this pig before I can follow your help.

The LZ kernel is compatible w/ 4.1 JB ROMS (pA 2.55, CM10, AOKP/CM10). I haven't tested it w/ ICS. The worse to happen would be a soft brick but a flash of your backup will have you up and running.

So I "flashed" lightening zap to my LG Nitro HD p930 after backing up the ROM and the screen reads:
Secure booting Error!
Cause : boot certification verify

Enter the fastboot***
Enter the fastboot***
Long time no see!

I took the battery out since It wouldn't allow me to turn it off, and it re-boots the ROM with no indication of LZ being flashed via looking at "system information"
any ideas here?
Thanks.
that message on boot means you semi-bricked it, happened to me whan i tried to install recovery on rooted stock ICS 4.0.4 LG blocked bootloader with their ICS update, anyways seems like you semi-bricked it while trying to flash the kernel.

What ROM did you try flashing it on? If it's an ICS/CM9 rom, then that just means the kernel won't work. If it's CM10, well...that's a different story.
not sure what ur want BUT
If u want some speed on stock rooted with recovery on any stock ICS 4.0.4 ...kernel from thunder pretty amazing fast
Spec: GPU clocked from 266mhz to 301 CPU clocked from 1500mhz to 1944 (safe 1728-1890mhz)
Ok after doing a factory reset (wipe data) and flashing fresh ROM + flashing the LZ kernel, i cant honestly say it just doesnt work on the latest CM10 Nightlies, still showing cm10 kernel rom in about phone.
try this

try flashing the ROM + Gapps, then booting the system. let it fully boot and settle out (10 minutes should suffice). After it has booted and settled, reboot into recovery and make a backup, then wipe cache and dalvik cache and try re-flashing the kernel.
For some reason, my phone doesn't boot after updating my current rom or wiping and installing a new one.
After the install, the boot animation is displayed for about 1-2 seconds. It then reboots and gets stuck during the boot animation. I've let it sit for an hour, so I know I'm not just being impatient.
Funny thing is that I'm able to restore my nandroid without issue. I'm currently running CM 12.1. I've tried dirty flashing a newer version of 12.1, clean installing a newer version of 12.1 and also clean installing various other roms. The latest I tried was the newest android revolution HD. I'm running the latest TWRP (2.8.7.0).
Can anyone think of why this might be happening? Any troubleshooting tips are welcome.
Thanks.
Got it working with Viper One.
