According to Samsung and all other websites, our SGW doesn't support microSDXC, it only supports microSDHC up to 32GB class 10.
SDXC is not downwards compatible.

yes..at first its hard for me to believe that it would work on mobile phone but after days of search all over forum & google.. I saw a few say it works on sII, by formatting to FAT32.
By formatting the micro sd card in the phone setting under storage menu.
check this out.. speechless this youtube video:Sandisk 64GB Micro SDXC Vs Samsung Galaxy S II.
sorry cant post link this my 1st post.

To be honest, I don't see any technical reason why it can't read a 64 GB SD Card... as long as the SD Card is formatted as FAT32 or ext2/3/4 ...

This really should go in the Q&A forum, but ... Samsung makes microSD cards. If those aren't "compatible" I wouldn't know what else could be.
Actually just about any class 10 memory card will do.
Yeah pretty much any Microsd will work on the note2. Choose Samsung, SanDisk, Kingston, Adata etc

I recently bought a 64 gb class 10 san disk micro sd card...it says ...they are the fastest...but hey...i am over happy with it...just installed the ex2sdinternal memory script ...it simply swaps your memory...e.g...my internal memory is now 64 gb...and my sd memory is 16 gb ....nice?
Now i can install any big gameloft and ea games without worring about directory bind and there freezes and force closes...
I really advice you to buy a 64 gb...it is cheap..i bought it with a adapter for 55€..it should be 70-75 $ max.

Is class 10 really important ?
Speed class corresponds to the burst write speed, which is important for devices like high end cameras. Since I have a class 4 and have no problem filming in HD, I suppose it isn't a necessity for the Note2.
Maybe more important are the read speed and IOPS (for small files) but I don't know where to find these data.

[Q] Best micro SD write & read speed for Note 10.1 2014

Hello everybody! I am newbie to the site and I just bought my Note 10.1 2014 tablet (SM-P600).
I would like to ask you about the Micro SD card:
Which has the best WRITE & READ SPEED that you would recommend? I would prefer 64gb capacity!
Thanks a lot!
Hi,
I am using Kingston mSDHC 32GB Class 10 UHS-I (SDCA10/32GBSP)
Awesome speed and totally no problems.

Thanks for the reply mate!
Hello, it's a old topic but why nobody use a 128GB Micro SD card?
It's works perfectly, i have one in my Note 3 SM-N9005, and one in my Note 4 SM-P605.
I have no problem with this micro SD card, just the size it was recognized for 120GB, the two SD card is a class 10, one is a Samsung Evo, and the other is a SanDisk.
Bye.

Is 128GB microSD supported or not?

Hi,
I want to buy 128 GB microSD card for Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition. I have heard, that on Android 4.3, max supported card capacity is 64 GB, and when you have Android 4.4 you can uset cards up to 128 GB.
That's why I am asking you. Do you have Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition running 128GB microSD without issues? I expect non-rooted devices
Thx for reply

Yes. Using 128gb micros with no problems.
I'm also using a 128GB microsD card on a Note 10.1 2014 without issues. I'm rooted now but it also worked when I wasn't.

Theoretically we should be able to use up to a 2tb sd card, if one existed. As long as it says sdxc or sdhc on it it will work.
sdhc is 4 to 32gb and 64+ is sdxc format. 128gb is sdxc...
For people prefering a specific model name: I just inserted a SanDisk Ultra 128GB (one of the current black ones: SDSQUNC-128G-GZFMA), formatted it in the tablet and am now having over 100GB space (what should I ever put on there...? )

I have music, videos and work files not to mention pictures... I have around 4 - 5 gb free most of the time but find it VERY easy to fill up.
I also have rom images too and a backup of my device so it is easy to fix if things go wrong...
I use a Samsung Evo 128gb sd card.
On a side note, if you do get Kingston cards be aware that at one time there were "128gb sd cards" floating around but they said sdhc on them, NOT sdxc. These are fakes... As I said above, anything 64gb and above are sdxc...
It does work!
I just tested, bought a kingston micro sd and the tablet recognized it without a problem
I will be using it in a note 3 though

Tab S 10.5 and >128 GB MicroSD Support?

Long time reader, possibly first time poster, and I had the following doubt:
SanDisk released a 200 GB card earlier this year and I saw they recently made 256 GB version and I was wondering if anyone had confirmed that the Galaxy Tab S supports MicroSD greater than 128 GB?
Has anyone tried one of these 200 GB or 256 GB MicroSDs in their Tab S yet?
Thanks in advanced!
Check this link, it's for Tab Pro but specs are almost same as Tab S.

According to the links below as long as the card has SDXC on it, it should be compatible, My Samsung 128GB has SDXC I on it, you can now get SDXC II , the I or II is supposedly the card speed, like class 1, 4, 10 on the older SDHC cards.
You can now get 512GB MicroSD but they will be very expensive.

I doubt the controller in the Tab S is capable of handling a 512gb card.
I think it'd be a push at 256gb. As far as I'm aware the specs say 128gb is the max.
I may be wrong or confused with another device so don't take it as gospel.
Yeah GSMArena, Samsung and PhoneArena all say 128 GB but that was at a time where 128 GB was max., kinda like how the S7 advertises support up to 200 GB (max. Size in existence at the time) only for Samsung to release a 256 GB the following week.
Anyhow, will have to try it and report back. Worst case I pass the SD card onto another device.
Will report back with the results.
Thanks for the replies.

It would best to find the actual spec sheet of the controller as that would give proper info.
I can confirm the Tab worked flawlessly with a 200 GB Sandisk.
