Verizon Nexus Accessories, can anyone use these? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

I had a verizon nexus two phones ago and i am going through my desk drawer of random electronics, i have two batteries and the micro-usb stand alone charger that chargers one battery at a time, i have a brand new back cover for the phone and the black two piece belt clip holster (holds phone screen in often called clam shell) and they are of no use to me, i could problably sell them for a couple bucks but then i thought someone here could use them. Both batteries have only been charged a few times, i could not deal with the radio issues as this was my primary phone and returned the phone. PM me if you are interested or have any questions.

Interested in a battery what would u sell the battery for with shipping

Yeah I would like the stand alone charger. What are you asking?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

Ok, two batteries and charger seem to be spoken for how about the case or back cover? Anyone?

Case with holster please and is the back cover for the extended battery. My kid broke mine in half

All the stuff has been spoken for as of this afternoon. And my desk drawer is less cluttered now
Sent from my Verizon S3 with locked bootloader but I would love to change my signature.

Hey, thanks man.

Battery for Galaxy Nexus - 2000-3000 mah

I'm looking for a Galaxy Nexus extended battery in the 2000-3000mah category. I don't want the Uber-thick 3800mah Seido but I don't want the extra 100-200mah for the Samsung extended (doesn't seem worth it even with a half-priced battery), I'm kind of looking for something in between (like a sweet spot) maybe in the range of 2500-3000 would be ideal. I'm sure there will need to be a separate case for it.
Any suggestions?
Chicks dig the uber thick ones

I wish there was a 2500 option for the gnex too. I'm cutting it close at the end of the day and it would be awesome if I didn't have to worry about conserving enough for an emergency.
I purchased 2 2500mA batteries from Hong Kong. There is no NFC. Also, the batteries work with the original back cover!! I should receive them by the end of the week hopefully. I am currently using a 3800 extended battery and the battery life is unbelievably great. I am hopeful that the 2500 will get me through a day of heavy use. I bought them off eBay from "weil368".

Will update once I receive and put to use!

I received my 2 2500mAh batteries today. I just started using them. Will report back on how they last.

Just curious, do you have the LTE Verizon Nexus or the GSM version?
I have the GSM Nexus. The first day was OK. Definitely better than the original battery but no where near as good as the 3800mAh behemoth. I was able to make it through a day of light to moderate use. Hopefully after a few cycles they will get better.

How much screen on time was that? I switched to teerom and have gone from 6 hours of battery life up to 15 or so with stock battery. I think it may be the apex launcher.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
It was 2:50 of screen time. For whatever reason I cannot upload the screen shot of the screen usage.

Guys ... please don't be fooled by high amperage in the same OEM body volume adverts.
There is NO 2500mAh in the world that will fit in the original 1750mAh volume. That technology is not yet accessible.
I'm 120% positive (and I can bet on this) that those "2500mAh" batteries have the same stored power (if not less) than the OEM 1750mAh ones.
If you get lucky, you may end up having initially a battery slightly stronger than the oem one which will deprecate in a matter of weeks and it will end up a lot weaker than the OEM.
I've been wondering about something for a while. Is there a technical reason why Li-Ion batteries must be in rectangular shape? Looking at the ginormous back for the Seido/Mugen 3500+ mAh extended batteries, I can't help thinking about all that wasted space above the SIM and up to the camera that could be "filled in" by an irregularly shaped battery.
The battery is made out of a long ribbon-like sandwich of electrolyte between two thin metallic foils (electrodes) and the whole structure is rolled or packed. It would be way too expensive to make it in custom shapes. So , the Li-Ion batteries can be built like cylinders or rectangular shapes.

For Sale: 2 OEM Rezound Batteries, OEM Thunderbolt Battery, and Back Cover

I have 2 OEM Rezound batteries, OEM Thunderbolt battery, and a back cover for sale. I purchased the Rezound batteries for about $25 each in March 2012 and the original battery I have used since July 2011. The batteries are obviously used. I scribbled with pen on one of the Rezound batteries water sensor so I could distinguish between the two, but I can assure you that it is not water damaged. (Here is a picture of the small mark I made)
I will be sending my Thunderbolt back to Verizon, but I was told to keep the back cover, so I'd like to sell that too. The cover is in excellent condition with no signs of use, it's always been in a case. I'd prefer to sell everything together in a bundle.
PM me with any questions and offers please!
I just realized I also have a never used Black TPU S-Line Wave Case and another plain black TPU case for sale too.

The two Rezound batteries were sold to a buyer last week, and the back cover and S-Line case were just sold.
The original OEM battery and black TPU case are still available if anyone happens to be interested. Thanks everyone.

Looking at extended batteries, its between the Lexmar 2500mah or the Gorilla Gadgets

I would appreciate any experiences with these or another recommendation that is not overpriced like the Seidio or Mugen.

Okay I just ordered the trexcell, we'll see how it works out.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 2
Trexcell is good, a full charge enough for a day of moderate-heavy usage. Best in its price range. I used it for almost half a year until I started missing the sleekness of the phone and started hating the huge tumor on the back. If you can deal with the weird shape in exchange for awesome battery life, go for it. I just settled for two extra slim batteries that I can swap out.
Qcell 4100 mah is the best battery for its price(20$) comes in either white or black back cover to match your phone. If you check the qcell thread youll see mine and many other positive reviews and pics of it.

Made the Switch

Hey fellas,
I finally made the switch again over to android.
I have been contemplating this for quite some time now and I just had to do it with the Nexus at $350 & I can not wait for it to arrive later this week. + i missed the xda community
I was a former Captivate owner then jumped over to the iphone 4s for a test and now I had to come back. Cant wait to start flashing roms (a little rusty since im sure things have changed in flashing techniques since I left) so a lot of reading to catch up on :good:
Never been a fan of touchwiz or any carrier implemented interface over android so this will be a great change having a pure google device for once.
Also what would be the best cheap case I should get ?????????
Just wanted to introduce myself on the Nexus forum and hope to be pretty active here
UPDATE: I ordered it on Saturday Oct 6th around 3pm ....anybody order it recently ? How long did it take for it to arrive because I haven't gotten any update as of yet??
Plus today being Columbus day I think there it wont be shipped out till tomorrow?
Welcome! This is my favorite stop for smartphone info...
The gnex has been my favorite android phone. The screen size paired with SwiftKey made for an easy transition from my droid 2's qwerty keyboard.
Your gsm version will get better battery life than sprint / verizon. I would suggest bugless beast with trinity kernel, screebl beta, extended battery, cpu spy, and better battery stats.
Good luck.

I know even when I didn't have an android I would still come and browse around XDA to see what I was missing hah...
& Great appreciate the advice, I will def look into that...
Goto diztronics and get a tpu for about $10.
...
Make sure you get a screen protector. Citigeeks has them for 5 bucks. Best 5 bucks I've ever spent

Didn't want to wait for new Nexus? Seems may b coming out soon.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Premium HD app
I can say 100% that the battery life is better on the unlocked gsm model then sprint or verzion. I had the sprint gnex for four months. i got tried of thier data speeds so i cancelled my contract and since my brother was ditching his unlocked gnex for the iphone 5. i got his phone and went to att
i know a new nexus is coming but i will still keep this phone. i absolutely love it. the battery difference is night and day for me.

I was thinking about holding off but I heard there were rumors it will be manufactured by LG? which I do not like as much. Also the $ was a influential factor, I can't justify spending $500+ on a phone so thought I would dive in now with the great reviewe's I've read.
Trying to sell my iphone for 300+ so it will basically be a trade off for me..
& thank you all for the comments. I have already ordered a case and screen protector from eBay so now i just sit and wait for it all to arrive :fingers-crossed: (the hardest part)
Congratz, you'll love the galaxy nexus.

I personally use it without a case, only a screen protector on.
For 5 months, went without any scratches, then got 2 small battle scars when i friend knocked it over.
I got a casemate barely there black case. Google it. Bought it for €15

Body Glove TPU at Walmart +/- $15 depending which store. Had it since march and still fits snug and looks good.

question about extended batteries

I'm thinking in getting the Galaxy Nexus, price is nice.
I'd buy this version "Samsung I9250 Galaxy Nexus 16GB" that is GSM, which extender battery will work why that model?
I understand that the i9250 is not LTE, so, I cannot use the LTE extender battery from Samsung?
I'm confused, please help me!
Best regards.
That is correct. The battery door and shape are very slightly different so they are not interchangeable. Samsung has an OEM extended battery you can buy on eBay with shipping from South Korea.

That OEM extended battery fits in the stock backcover?
Do you have a link for buying the battery? (Amazon or Ebay)

Yeah. The bottom the the stock door bends in towards the phone. The new one will follow the curvature of the bottom of the phone, making it as if the battery door was just part of the back. Find pictures to see what I mean.

I don't see it in Amazon
Instead of using an extended battery I use a pocket USB charger. My phone is connected by a USB to the charger which is in my pocket. The charger holds 5000 mah so I can use it for any least 3 days.
Also it was for only $30 at future shop so it's a good deal.

im trying to find a practicle portable usb charger but they are all too big and require u to carry around a cable to plug it in. which one did you buy? sounds pretty insane if its small and fits in your pocket with the phone AND packs in 5000mah. did u mean 500mah?
