I made this thread because that one specifically states NIGHTLY in the title, and this isn't a nightly like the rest of the ROMs in that thread.
Create a thread only for a link... facepalm

You should know here is dev ,dun simply put the links only...what is the changelog?can you give a support on it?
If pawitp feels in need of such a thread, he will create it. If not, he won't. Not every worm is allowed to create a dev thread to a ROM he didn't build.

I wasn't trying to offend anybody here, including any of the CM/SGS devs. If I did, I apologise. I just noticed the link posted on get.cm and decided to create a thread to share the news that it was released, seeing as the other thread (judging from its title) seemingly did not apply to this update. I didn't claim anywhere that I had anything to do with the making of this file, as I obviously didn't, and I don't think your calling me a "worm" is in any way necessary or helpful.
EDIT: Also, someone can close this thread, seeing as it didn't fullfill the purpose I made it for.

You *might* post such a topic in the discussion thread. If you don't have something useful in developers' viewpoint, don't post it here, for your safety )

pawitp will not make the thread i guess. There is a particular 'cyanogenMOD' named account from which all RC build threads are made for all devices.
This is really unnecessary. Any fool knows that in the CM9 toppic also indicated when a release comes out. Close this mess!!!!

Thanks. For some reason I was unable to find RC2, even though it was being mentioned in the dev thread. One quick Google brought me here.
Might've been better off posting in General.... this is not dev related.
edit: didn't refresh get.cm, had some old stuff cached It appeared

Maybe because RC1 has never came out?

Hey guys I found out about cm 6.1 release I'm trying to find the actual zip file along with the latest Google addon zip. Does anyone have the actual links to these flashable zips? Thx
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=735596
Um...
Apparently I cannot post a link because my account is too new, so I will PM them to you.
i find it easiest to just use ROM manager
This is the worst thread I've ever seen

thx bizdady for the links oh and drdrewdown im sure you need help at times too, becuase its douchey senior members like you that ruin great development sites.
i guess the Dev section link was to hard to look for lol
Bizdady's link to the Gapps isn't the proper link. TeamDouch is no longer directly hosting Gapps, and their primary mirror is down. You can use my mirror which has all of the Gapps, Nightlies, Finals, and RC's for EVO:
http://goo-inside.me/
(you'll want the latest HDPI Gapps)
And for those wondering, it's been made the unofficial mirror: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/8957-google-addons/

Why is it no matter which OP posts a question, people get on here and bash people for either not searching or just being plain dumb....come on now. I see posts like this all the time. WE ARE HERE TO HELP EVERYONE WHETHER THEY ARE NEW TO THE SITE, OR HAVE BEEN AROUND FOR A WHILE...Sorry to the OP but no offense when I first signed my account up i had a hard time finding certain things..73's
I guess my noobness on this forum prevents me from asking my question in the development thread, so I have no choice but to ask this here. I just installed the EvoNonsense4.3.1 ROM last night and I'm loving it! Very Cyanogen like but with some sense things still in there. Great combo, IMHO. Just curious as to why the Build Number for this ROM shows up as EvoNonsens4.2? I verified that I did DL the 4.3.1 zip file, so no sure why the proper version is not reflected in the Software Information section. Anywho, loving this ROM so far. Very fast and everything is working great!

You can be a veteran and still should not post questions in the development section.
What you should have done is post your question in the evo non sense thread or pm the developer.....
Now your question is simple. The developer forgot to rename his Rom to the new update. It still is the newest but with the old name/number.

Thanks for the info. Why is it that I shouldn't make a post in the development thread for the ROM? I figured this would be something that the ROM developer would be interested in knowing so that he/she could fix it. Guess I don't know all the rules for XDA yet .

You can post question of a Rom in its thread. You don't make a new thread to ask a question about a Rom. It will clutter the dev section.
Now if you have a non specific Rom question that question can go in this section=q&a

Cool. Guess I need to make a few more posts before it will let me comment in a development thread though. By the way, your ROM is awesome!! Gonna stick with this one for a while. Trying to promote it as much as possible on the AC forums.

I compiled aosp from source and flashed the rom on my phone through rom manager. I used the binary files from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1421188 and used the tweak to stop the recovery image from compiling. After flashing and upon booting I get this weird band going horizontal with the screen. I've attached a screen shot and was wondering if someone knew what I di or didn't do to cause this issue.
edit: I finally ran the exact script and pulled my prop files from an aosp rom 4.03 rom on my phone. If you're following the guide on cdma be prepared to extract the files you need or pull them from a git repose of a rom that's working on your phone. I tried the binaries posted in the cdma development section but they didn't work for me. Just some food for thought.

Is there a compile tread on XDA other than here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1386615&page=15 ? I posted in the Q & A section because the moderator wanted people to post their questions here. I hope I can get some help with this issue either way. Thanks
I think in this case it might be worth posting in that thread, or at least link this thread in there as more people will then see the issue you've got

Problem solved--Couldn't get Paranoid Android to get past boot logo. What solved it was doing a flash of CM10, then a 'dirty flash' of PA on top of it...I'm guessing that worked because it's CM10 based, but I'm not sure. Either way, there's the solution. Also, CZ, it won't let me edit that title to say solved. Also--any idea on my other thread about why Android File Transfer doesn't work anymore? Skyler, the last thing I need to do is annoy people--I can't even post in dev threads yet!

It's considered forum etiquette to do two things here, since your thread is solved.
1) Edit your thread title to include the word "SOLVED" with brackets around it. Like this:
[SOLVED] or [FIXED] or [IGNORE] or something similar.
2) If you fixed your issue, then you might consider typing what you did to resolve the issue, so the next newb-in-need-of-help can read your post and do the same fix.

Don't do what the above said. It'll annoy everyone if you don't and I think that's great.

Glad you go this worked out, but it was a known issue that was discussed yesterday right after the rom was posted. Also, this doesn't belong in the Dev section anyway. I'm glad you couldn't post there. Why does everyone think they should post their questions in the dev section when we have a Q/A section? You should have posted it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819441

Did you click on the "Edit" and then you click the "Go Advanced" option? That's what lets you edit thread titles.
Sorry, I can't help with the other question.
I fixed the title---and I would have posted there if that thread existed when I posted...as far as I can tell, it came about a few minutes after I posted, and I was already gone. I'll post in Q&A next time then.
Oké guys,
Little suggestion.
Seeing all that boot.img popping up like boot_repacked and it's unclear what it is.
Please use the following format:
kernelxxx-romxxx.img
So it will always be clear what it is and where for.
Also perhaps someone is willing to maintain a all in one repacked kernel thread with all repacked kernels for different roms in one spot?
Volunteers?
If necessary I can provide hosting with a ftp account on whiskey103.nl or androidrevolution.nl
Thanks

well i for one can do that..i wouldn't mind... i got the time on my hands and well i already maintaining threads similar so i do not see the problem...if people want to post the repacked versions here for the rom then all i can do is tidy it up in the first and second post and that way everyone can get it here from this thread...so that way no more repacked versions all over the forums they would be here as you say

Oké, so you open a dedicated repacked kernels thread?
I know we have a few for specific ROM and/or kernel.
But not a "one stop shop" collection thread.
I will pm you and talk details.

I do have one for NCX.
maybe someone could have it for the 2-3 other kenels out there? Like, One kernel per person? Would be much easier to manage IMO
So, NCX for me, XM for ??, ETC?

Yes I know you have one for NCX and the collection thread could easily link to that.
But iam aiming at a "all in one" but most importantly I wanted the naming convention though as I see all kind of boot-repacked flying around and it's confusing.

so what are you saying about naming convention? Just name a thread like this
"All in one Kernel repack collection thread for all JB Sense Roms"
if someone can come up with a better name feel free to mention it..
But like i said..I open the thread. People start posting the repacks in the thread and we just organize the first page of the thread with all the necessary repacks with each individual rom.....Something like this
Renovate Rom:
XM95repacked.img
Modules
and just carry on the same as we go along....look let me open the thread and i know what i am going to do...i organized my own threads in order i can do the same here

this is the naming convention im actually using on my online repacker :highfive:
and my main reason for creating it to start with is... having a searchable database of very kernel there is
and since this is what you're trying to do,
i'd like to ask those thread maintaining repackers to ask me for an account on my site, so that they can approve kernel images,
so that they can appear on the search.
