Which stickers did you buy?
Where did you put them?
What app did you use to program?
How are you using NFC?
I am excited about using it and would love to hear success stories.
Tested the beam feature the other day with a friend who has a gnex as well.
It was kind of awkward to hold the phones back to back while also tapping on the screen to be able to beam things. Kind felt like it'd be easy to lose grip and drop the phone
I put the tag on my self made desk dock to trigger wifi, sync and auto-rotation using NFC retag.
Anyone know of an app that turns your screen off without pressing the power button? I use Screen Off and Lock on my Evo but it isn't supported yet on the N7.
Try GoSwitch.

Get a smart case
Like ragnarokx said, get a smart case to turn the screen on and off automatically. We're just stuck waiting for the manufacturer to get their act together and fill store shelves with them.
Thanks for the suggestions. Yea, I'm definitely getting a smart case as soon as there's something to my liking. I wish the official N7 case had stand functionality.
try screen off and lock in google play....

Take a stand for what its worth. They usually add bulk.
My wife has an Ipad2 for roughly a year now and has had the smart cover all along. She only uses it to fold it up as more of a handle, and she never, repeat, never uses it as a stand.

I think a stand is definitely useful for watching movies.

If you're on a train, or an airplane and you're watching a movie, I'd agree.
I have a home theater at home for that.
I use a stand every night when I'm using the Kindle app. Very handy sitting for long stretches of book reading

Yea, that's what I meant. Don't really need it for home but it's nice for when you're traveling.

That's weird. It wasn't working for me so I uninstalled it. I'll give it another shot.
You could try *not* mashing the button like an American Gladiator?
I've never had trouble with a power button failing. I treat it like an electronic device and it lasts far beyond the time I use it for. There's no need to find other means of using a device that comes with its own.
HM5100, e.g.

I wonder if it will come in black, too...
Amazing, I'm getting one
I wonder if it can be stored within the tablet like the stock s pen...?

I doubt it. It's probably housing the 10.1 Note's S Pen inside, though.
Looks to big. Better to be in top pocket anyway if its bt to the phone
oh wow, this looks awesome!
i wouldn't even have to bring my phone to school anymore. i'll just leave my tablet in my backpack and have the bt pen clipped onto my shirt or something. when i feel it vibrate, i can just answer my call through the pen . i might look kinda weird to others when they see me, but i don't care!

Can somebody tell.
I don't think many people actually own this at the moment:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1838111
, but from the looks of it, it's safe to say that it won't fit into the 10.1 Note's pen slot:
http://www.engadget.com/2012/08/15/samsung-bt-hm5100-s-pen-hands-on/
The "nib" looks more like 10.1's tip rather than the one on the 5.3 Note, but it may or may not actually house the 10.1's pen inside. Not sure this last part matters, anyway...
really cool pen! I wonder how much it costs?

There are quite a few for sale on ebay now, from $100 to $200 ...
And some people here already baught it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1838111
I just ordered this item. I'm excited to see how it works with the tablet.
I'm confused. This is a pen that:
> Does the samething as the S Pen already included
> It has a mic, speaker and answer-call button
> It connects with your phone via BT
> You can answer a call that got to your phone, while you're using the tablet???
So what is the justification. It's not like your phone is never handy and the tablet always is... Imagine this scenario:
Your are at work at your desk minding your own business doing whatever you do with your tablet. A call comes in, more than likely your phone is in your pocket or on top of your desk, so you can see a call is coming. So, instead of picking up your phone, you press the lil button on the pen because the pen is already in your hand and you're too lazy to reach for your phone. So, imagine that in the middle of the conversation you are given details you need to jot down, you can't put down the BT S Pen to write a memo on your Note 10.1 because that's where the call is coming from, so you either grab your old S Pen or common pen and paper.

So what did I miss? You can't even use this pen while the old S Pen is in the Note's silo. I've tried to use my other Wacom pen while the S Pen is in the hole and there is no way it gets registered.
So, somebody please enlighten me what benefits will I get if I shell out another 200 bucks on this pen.
Ron
+1 My thoughts exactly.
Turn off battery saving in pen settings? Try 3rd party pen again. Profit.

I have Google voice. I thought it would be more convenient to answer the call over talk atone, not my phone, when say I'm in the other room. Or don't want to run to the other room to get the phone. My google voice always rings before my phone, too. Doesn't fit but my case has the s pen holder.
That being said, I think Samsung was trying to be innovative (or expand on an idea originally posed by Asus). Nifty feature. Some will see it as useful, others a toy.
I'm sure I could say the same as what's the point of a Bluetooth headset? But I think **** Tracey would like this!
Better for 007.
just got my pen and took it out of the box. instructions are in chinese so they are of no help. Doesn't seem to work. I figured it should work out of the box like the s pen, but it doesn't. I have it charging now, but why would that make a difference?
Can anyone that has one lend me a hand?
update...
so you have to take the original C Pen out of the tablet for it to register...
I have one and was wondering if both sides of the neck band is to vibrate when I get a notification. Only one side does.
Just curious.
Other than that, I wish Samsung made one like it. I love this thing.

Mine only vibrates on the one side too. This thing is awesome!
Don't think this exists, but sure would be cool.
A stylus that fits in the stylus slot on my note 3 that is also a bluetooth cordless headset thingy.
I purchased a Fosmon mini bluetooth keyboard (and love it). I am thinking about getting one of those lemon extended batteries and building a special mount that will attach the keyboard and the note 3 together and make it more like a handheld gaming console/laptop. While it wouldn't be permanent, it would make phone calls awkward while in use. If I could pull the stylus out and use it to talk ... that would be premo!
Any thoughts?

It's been done before. By Asus. http://www.asus.com/sg/Tablet_Mobile_Accessories/PadFone_Stylus_Headset/
I'm sure Samsung could do the same if they wanted, and given that more and more tablets are getting cellular abilities, I could see them doing something like that. It's unlikely that an accessory manufacturer would undertake this though.. There just isn't the demand I think.

lol, at first, I thought you were supposed to stick it in your ear. then I realized that you use the stylus like a handset.
because I'm sure you look less insane talking to a pen, than to a bt headset.

Lol. No. But one you clip onto a pocket would be kinda cool.

Samsung HAS made one which I have. Have no idea pf model # ect...but google it and I'm sure you will find one. about 100$. Useless though unless you want to look foolish/silly/.....
It does work as advertised, though.
Charlie
I have actually found a stylus pen that is a handset as well. I'm looking for a replacement for the stock stylus, one that fits in the slot, and is being charged while in the slot. These are all things that only Samsung could do unless you did some kind of wireless charging setup.
Adding an external battery is going to make it just the right size where getting it in and out of pockets will be a pain. It's already close enough for me! So I get the watch, it acts as caller ID, and if it is a call I want to take, I can just slide the stylus out of the device without taking it out of my pocket.
Adding another pen/stylus/bluetooth handset is just adding another part to the mix. Another device to charge, protect, keep track of. Of course you forget it your whole setup is useless.
