why imei is important
you can flash some chinese rom at bbs.gfan.com, they are up-to-date and better battery consumption.

Well If you would have a backup of efs yes... Which you can't have until you have twrp or similar installed.. So idk no way to recover it without a backup. Is the phone still booting? What is working what not? Do you really mean the imei or "imei sv"?
You wrote you send LG the imei? You have not go through the official unlock page by LG? The imei was taken from the sticker behind the battery? Or from within a booted rom?
.

My IMEI was taken from the sticker behind the battery , it was the original one

I'm having same thing, although it happens when I try to install a custom rom. Imei gets wiped. Even though i have a backup of the original efs in twrp, restoring it makes no difference.
Sometimes when i try to restore the original non rooted system including backed up efs i still have a problem with no mobile signal and blank imei. Restoring efs from a different backup fixes it for some reason. Apart from using non rooted non custom Rom i basically can't get mobile signal.
Any ideas?
Guys as the name suggests , wanna know the best method to check the actual serial number of the nexus 5x. Please someone tell me the best method to check the serial number. Thanks
Settings -> about phone -> status
Do you mean you want to check it and the phone is stuck in a boot loop ? If so, then you need to go to bootloader mode to view it.
This first post in the thread explains how to get into bootloader mode by holding the correct key combinations at boot.

Well don't you think that serial number can be modified by rooting and using build prop editor?

No actually wanna buy a new nexus phone but I am afraid that I may end up with a faulty phone , so wanna check the actual serial number of the set.

Well thought of doing that but then if one can edit the serial number from inside of the phone , then it's not a problem for one to change the sticker I think.
Just realised the serial number is not inside the case. It's only the IMEI.
I didn't realise you could edit both serial number and IMEI via software. I'd like to learn more. Any links to relevant info ?

The only method I know of is a sticker on the retail box. The serial number in the Settings is different and doesn't indicate build date.

You're supposed to keep your IMEI number private. You don't want to be freely giving it away to random websites and I would suggest deleting your link.

Have you tried to do a factory reset? New rom? Problem still exists? Try different sim? Doesnt work?
It may be the sim-reader. How old is it?
I had similar problem where my sim-card could not be read. I returned it and it went on service for a couple of days, and they changed the Motherboard and now it works without any problems.
Try to limit the number of errors it could be try the things.

How will I get the valid sn for my phone?
I'm wondering how can I get my original IMEI number which is lost after flashing Stock ROM via SP Flash tool. I mistakely selected Format + Download option in SP flash tool while flashing, Now after flash process is done, there's nothing showing in IMEI status. I lost my Phone's box too where original IMEI is printed. Now I have no Original IMEI of my Phone. I s there any way to get original IMEI number of my Phone's Model Lenovo K8 note XT1902-3 (oreo) ?
Thanks
