I want to know if there's a way to edit the kernel files or system files to set the start up kernel speed rather then using CPU control to do it...
Yes, using init.d script..

I mean like like arc s stock kernel which clockspeed is default 1.4

As title says, what would be the best OOM values for the Arc? What values do you use at the moment?
Sent from my LT15a using XDA
How do you mean? The OOM values from which app do you mean?
Out of memory values
I'm trying to determine the best settings when using the V6 supercharger

I know what OOM values are, but which settings? Do you mean the OOM group values? Ore do you want that specific apps can't be killed? Ore do you mean the low memory settings you can set in supercharger?
The low memory settings I believe
The settings that the v6 supercharger changes

Supercharger can calculate the best settings for your phone. I don't know wich version u use? But the latest beta release it is option 10, I believe.
Quick cost oomize, or something like that.
Hi..my galaxy nexus becomes tooo warm when using it for about 10-15 mins..

Maybe, mine does that occasionally from time to time. But I'm stock everything
Using same setup as you except on Fancy Kernel but when I was previously on Dummy kernel (same Dev) the phone ran very cool. I think you could try flashing Dummy Kernel and using Trickster Mod app to lower GPU clock to 304mhz and min CPU clock to 100+MHz?
edit: or change the governor as for me some governors cause my phone to run at my max clock speed non stop

Odp: What Mods/tweaks do you use in cm7 ?
oc 269-729, symp kernel, v6 script, smoothnes tweak, apps on ext of course (with cm7 i always use s2e app)

Could you specify smoothness tweak ?
And for supercharger v6, do you flash the zip file or use it via script manager ?
I found script manager very sloppy though.

Overclock 748-518,ram manager,seeder,symp kernel(gb roms),few build.prop tweaks and sometimes I edit framework.jar of roms which I dont find smooth.

LOL no!
i get 12+ hours battery backup with these freq,so I'm quite ok with it.
seeder is an entropy generator, in short it reduces lags.
ram manager does the same thing as juwe ram script, but you get to choose profiles you want plus the pro version has several other features like using swap etc.

Tried ram manager free. Seems good. I've set up balance profile and it works pretty good.
Now i'll try overclock to 512-729 lets see it might be good.

Hello.
DoomLord :good: has delivered S_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_FW-96_v3.
It just finished V6 (based on .96).
What is the benefit of this last ?
V6 contains cpu & gpu overclock & various other tweaks

Only CPU and GPU OC.. And a couple of governors and schedulers.. No tweaks in his kernel.. U can read the details in his OP about what changes he has made to .96 kernel.. :silly:
Hello everybody!
Have anyone overclocked gpu on xperia s? I want to know how phone working and is any problems with it? I don't want to burn my motherboard.

I've overclocked mine using Trinity's kernel without any problems
Sent from my Xperia Slow LT26i
You need a unlocked bootloader
And a custom kernel
I recomend
Trinity kernel for general performance
Forzaferrarileo for a great balance
And doomkernel for stability and balance
Sent from my LT26i using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I use DooMKerneL and kernel tuner app to overclock gpu to upto 320Mhz.. and yeah, you need to have bootloader unlocked..

can u post here a diffrence between stock mhz and oc-ed one?? Im curious how much power does that give
Im ising pureslim 4.4 now so no oc for me now but just asking ;p
200mhz 2d
266mhz 3d
As oposed to
266mhz 2d
320mhz 3d
With an OC your ui will become smoother and games will lag less
Also some benchmarking apps prove that you can beat a samsung galaxy s3

There you go.. say thanks to envious_data.. couldn't have explained it better.. Normally the clock for,
2D - 200Mhz
3D - 266Mhz
But we can overclock gpu to obtain,
2D - 266Mhz
3D - 320Mhz
Phone will run with no lag at all.. And it's super smooth.. I haven't tested it's effect on the battery yet though.. I don't actually use it much.. Unless if I want to play Asphalt 8 without lag..
Hope you understood..
Thank me if I helped..

the effect on battery is almost un noticable,
this is because its a small change (as oposed to a cpu oc (much higher frequencys and higher voltages required)
xperia s uses gpu and cpu to display
and finaly most kernels with a gpu oc usualy have a gpu undervolt meaning per frequency step it uses less power as oposed to stock
<(`^´)> knowing is good!!!

I get this problem sometimes.. My 2D gpu frequencies cannot be changed.. it might be because of mp-decision but isn't DooMKerneL supposed to have its own mp-decision? if i cant get past this problem, can you give me a link to the latest trinity kernel for Xperia S..? If its not asking for too much..

doomkernel doesent have 2d overclock
doomkernel used the stock mpdecision
also no need for a 2d oc unless you dont like laggy opengl based games
