Connection Problem or Invalid MMI on every call

Hi,
Few days ago my phone shut due to empty battery, and after i started it again i started having problem.
Every call i make i get "checking USSD" something but its quickly replaced by "Connection problem or invalid MMI code".
The call is working and everything ok, but this message is annoying, i need to press OK on every call.
Any idea ?

Which rom you are using, which kernel,...? Please provide more information about your software.

I didnt taught its relevant since i didnt make any rom/kernel changes recently.
I'm on RCmix S 2.0 with 2.6.35.10-g308ba26 v05 SNQ

i reinstalled from 2 month old nandroid
but now it came back again.
grrrr

ok dont know if it will work for you but it worked for me
add comma (,) in the end of the code
example:
*100*2# into *100*2#,
works for me

[Q] Xperia Arc hangs up immediately when trying to do a call

Hi,
I am experiencing a strange problem with a Xperia Arc, LT15i, which one of my friends asked me to 'fix'. The scenario is as follows:
- The phone has no warranty
- The phone had a stock ROM from 3 here in Denmark, 2.3.6, not sim locked, not rooted.
- Whenever I try to make a phone call, it immediately hangs up
- The same happens when a call is received, no ringtone or any other indication of an incoming call, phone hangs up immediately.
- The phone is unable to receive messages
- When I try to send a message, it fails
- Messages sent to the phone are not received
- 3G and internet work fine
I thought that this was some kind of a software bug related to the stock rom, so I tried to install stock ICS on it by following one of the widely available guides, the ROM installed fine, problem persists.
I have not been able to find any information on other people experiencing the same problem on google, nor here on XDA. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can trace the root of the problem? Can it be radio FW related? Can I get any useful information by rooting the phone, installing busybox and tracing the system logs, dmesg, etc. ?
Any suggestions and ideas are welcome!

If everything is stock, bootloader still locked, then try to repair your phone with sonyericsson PC Companion. But backup all your contacts and messages, because it delete al your data.

There is no data on the phone, so I am free to experiment as much as I want. I will try to see what the Sony Ericsson companion can do, but I am quite sure that the guy who's phone it is already has tried that, which resulted in the stock operator ROM from 3 being reinstalled. I am not exactly sure on whether the bootloader is locked or not, I have not played around with SE phones this much before, as I am used to HTC Is there a quick way to find out?

I'm experiencing the same problem but with SIM cards from only one carrier (TMN Portugal). Its works fine with VODAFONE and OPTIMUS.
I can get 3G and internet but "No Service" for calls and SMS. When I try to call I get "Out of Service Area".
The TMN SIM cards work on another handsets, not in mine.
Did you solve your friends problem? If so, how?

Problem with mobile networks

I can't do calls and send massage with some roms, even kit kat then lollipop. If I call my number with another phone it is not off. Internet data even works, but if I try to make a call with the tablet I get "call ended". I have this problem with besonderes rom but calls work with pyrana rom. I thought was a rom related problem, but now I have the same problem with the stock lollipop update.
EDIT:
I've tried with another sim card from another telephone company and this sim works! I use 3 in Italy, does anyone know if there is a particular configuration to be done? Thank you.

Mobile Data much too slow, cant unlock phone because mmi codes are invalid

following problem to my LG P930:
I got it as a present because my old phone was crashed. First I wanted to do with the P930 is to get root access and flash CM to it. This was difficult enough, but now I have a problem where I coundn´t find any information.
With original firmware (I think it was 2.2.6 or 2.3.6) LTE was working. Now, with the last CM 11 and with CM 10.2 LTE dowesn´t work. I can ping any homepage with the terminal, but the speed for downloading is just at 40k/s, really really slowly.
I found, that maybe LTE must be unlocked by an unlock-code. Therefore I have to open a menu under the number 2945#*930#, but when I call this, just the msg appears, "Connection problem or invalid MMI code". Most of all #* calls do not work at all!
I tried to fix it, but all methods I found are for MTK devices, but the P930 has a snapdragon cip.
The *#06# call works, my IMEI is valid, I can make calls and send sms, the Internet works, but much too slow for daily use. My Sim Card gets access to o2 network in Germany.
I tried 3 CM ROMS and different settings in APN and mobile networks, but nothing works.
I tried to get network access with a Telekom SIM, but there I couldn´t get any access, so I wasn´t able to make calls, neither sms nor Internet.
does anyone have an idea how to solve this issue? Is that correct, thinking that mobile data doesn´t work because the phone is unlocked?
PS: only thing I found is in this thread, is to rename modemfs folder.
But I don´t understand what eduds mean in post 8, and his problem is not exactly the mine, because his mobile data doesn´t work at nothing.

I Just got my Lenovo P2a42 , was playing with an app called " Activity launcher" to hide the screen orientation using demo mode activity, thus i got nosy some how .. and changed the band to USA without knowing .
end result which only happened on Sim Slot 1
1. i cant make or receive calls
2. can send SMS and access internet using sim slot 1
3. when making a call , a message appears :" cellular network not available"
I have tried other Sim cards on slot 1 , and nothing working (no calls)
tried slot 2 and all is working great
any suggestion on what to do to restore the phone Radio band to its non US band ? I am not located in USA , I'm in UAE
I'm on android Nougat , non-rooted , phone is carrier free

At dialer press "*#*#4636#*#*" then phone information and press top right three dots. There is an option for area band. Choose your area. I'm not sure if this will solve your problem but try it

Thanks for your prompt reply brother .. i have tried that , the only available band is USA .. nothing else

I have done the factory reset , didnt resolve it .. if any one can help , please do
read on some articles about flashing original radio .. any suggestions ? please help me

Flash twrp recovery and flash either the stock rom or custom. Just google for the links. If your bootloader isn't unlocked you will have to wait 14 days. Hope it helps

i have sent the phone back to lenovo service center .. i just got the phone 8 days ago
