* CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
This is a kang of CM11 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, compiled by a group of volunteers that enjoy learning about building CyanogenMod & Android in general. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
These builds are bleeding-edge, most comparable to a nightly build, and are not meant for inexperienced users. Things will be broken and crash from time to time, you need to accept that this isn't stable by any means before flashing. Nandroid as often as possible.
How to post useful, informative bug reports:
Sometimes dev's actually check out our threads, or sometimes we have a good relationship with a dev or two. These bleeding-edge builds will have issues, and having good information on what's broken is great feedback before a feature is merged. Here are some good bug reporting tips:
* No bug reports while using custom kernels or add-ons:
CyangenMod's own bug reporting tool does not accept bug reports from people using non-stock kernels for a reason, so why should we? CM can merge changes causing custom kernels to break things until the kernel devs catch up. Therefore, please do not post any bug reports while using a custom kernel or add-on such as Xposed Framework. Post your issues with custom kernels in their own respective threads as they are the ones who need to play catch up. Any bug report posted in this thread should be while running CM's stock framework and kernel, as this prevents unnecessary clutter.
* Gapps are not a CM issue:
CyanogenMod is built to run without the assistance of Google's proprietary apps (gapps). Having issues with your Google account and syncing is a gapps issue, not a CM issue. Please do not post about any gapps related issues, just wipe data and try a different gapps package.
* Posting about the same bug every build:
Beating a dead horse with "bug X still isn't fixed" posts just adds unnecessary clutter and provides no help into actually fixing the issue. Some bugs take days to squash, some take weeks. Please don't report the same bug every time a build is uploaded.
* Logs:
Provide logcats when applicable. Use a service like Pastebin and put a link to the log in the post. Please do not post logs directly to the forum.
If these requests are too demanding, there's good news! CyanogenMod is open source, so please feel free to download the source code, compile your own builds volunteering your time and resources, then start a thread and run it however you see fit. All we simply ask is that people post good, reliable information that can be passed on to a developer that can actually do something with it, making CM a better product for everyone involved.

Yes. On the roots wiki.com page of this thread a guy posted a flashable su and it worked for me.
Edit...http://rootzwiki.com/topic/29834-cm10jellybro-toro-nightly-kangs/page__st__10#entry808990

Impressed! Dirty flash over vicious and regained root no problem. Really smooth.
This is why I got a nexus, lol. Everything comes to this phone immediately

Introducing codefireXperiment for your device! This OP is going to stay slim and bloat free, just like codefireXperiment. No marketing buzzwords either.
We take such confidence in the speed and performance of this distribution, we challenge you to find a faster and more stable one!
Warning: we only support anykernel methods of custom kernel installation.
Here's a bit of info you may want on this project for how we do things differently:
CLICK HERE to find out more about the new team working on this project since our TeamEOS merger.
No features you don't need which slow the device down, or put your data at risk of being stolen. If you want to give it away, it should be your decision.
A fast and clean install with no UX decisions made for you. You make the ROM whatever you would like.
A team constantly exploring totally new feature sets and optimizations geared toward you, the user
We utilize a plethora of optimizations in a build system unlike any other:
Each build has a toolchain built for your device at the time of build. No more generic toolchain android builds.
Consistently updated upstream toolchain module source with our custom backports, fixes, and optimizations applied in a patch at build time.
Fully built utilizing Link Time Optimization (another custom ROM first). Feel free to Google this one a bit to get an idea of the performance gain.
Many repositories have code fixes, cleanups, and many minor optimizations which are too generous to even speak of here.
Optimizations are toggled on and off based on device for the best experience we can achieve for your device without sacrificing any stability
Many Qcom optimizations and AOSP master (upstream) optimizations and fixes using device specifications to determine usage.
Fully built utilizing strict aliasing and isognu++11 mode.
Full "-O3" build. To those who don't know, this is the highest "optimization level" available in gcc that sets many other flags.

In order to fix your issues we need a log of your error.
Just telling us "it's broken" doesn't help anyone fix it. This would be the same as going to the doctor and telling him "I don't feel good. Fix me." and providing no other information.
There are numerous ways to get a log of errors.
Install CatLog from the Play Store.
Open the app & set the "Log Level" to error.
Do whatever causes your error.
Save the error text file & post it here or on one of those logging site (ie pastebin.com).
You can use ADB to capture the errors as well.
Plug your phone into a computer & open a terminal/command prompt.
adb logcat > C:\path\you\can\find\logname.txt
Do whatever causes your error.
CTRL+C
Save the error text file & post it here or on one of those logging site (ie pastebin.com)

How to install:
First step for everything you do: Create a nandroid backup and make sure you know how to restore it!
I'm not responsible for anything you do with your phone/tablet/rice cooker.
There is also the risk to soft-brick your device. In such a case, restoring a backup is the easiest way to get rid of it (other possibilities mentioned below).
For the framework:

Launch the Xposed Installer, go to the "Framework" section and click on "Install/Update"

Meaning they only support kernels that don't change the Rom s ramdisk, like Tiny's or Lean. When you install Franco kernel or Fancy they come with their own ramdisk, so if you have any issues with the Rom they will not answer your questions.
The relentless pursuit of the perfect rom
I see. So does anyone know if ASKP kernel falls under that category of being unsupported? I'm gonna check Amps thread later but wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head.

This post is dedicated to the people who have helped me along the way and not ROM related.
@android88 - Your the guy who got me into this business. You've been a great help in terms of questions and you're the reason I am currently building ROM's. If it wasn't for you, this ROM or anything from me wouldn't exist. I would just be a regular flasher, no offence guys lol
@ayysir - I really can't understand how you dealt with my n00b questions for months. You've got some patience with people. Thanks for you AET which helped a ton in the beginning and also your scripts. You've really helped a ton and I'm really grateful for your advice and help.
@Cl3Kener - Do you need an introduction? Your Develop Now! guide is literally incredible for guys that are just starting out and helped me a ton. Thanks for your kernel which I used in this ROM and will continue to as long as I support hercules. You've been an inspiration to many and have helped a ton.
@ThdDude & @I Am The Frost, you've been incredible and helped out a lot. Your guys' advice is much appreciated.
Awesome. Thanks for the good work.

Booted on TWRP 2.5 its kinda laggy from time to time, also is there an option for when you press the home button it doesn't show all the screens? I looked around in the launcher settings but couldn't find anything. Good job on the ROM tho seems promising :good:
Running nice and smooth here, couple hiccups but I'm assuming that's just the ROM settling in.
Clean flash on TWRP 2.6.1.0
If you guys have any requests such as audio mods or such, leave them in the Feature Requests portion of this thread. I'll try try to get it in the next build
Why is the launcher spaced weirdly? Dumb question maybe?

Yeah its a little lag here and there but overall great ROM
Sent from my SGH-T989 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
no lag for me smooth as hell, but i found a bug where when you change the halo size to small or minuscule it keeps causing system ui to crash repeatedly until you change the halo size back to default, its extremely easy to reproduce
View attachment halocrashingsystemui.txt
logcaat
edit: sorry that one doesnt show much(went thru it) lemme get another 1
here: View attachment logcat_and_device_info.zip
im also having some issues with alot of setting options in rom control that just dont work
OP Updated! See if that helps your performance at all and your Halo issues. Please Clean Flash though, Don't dirty flash or else your run into some issues. This is just for this time.
Also, OTA Updates should be good to go from this build on. I'll let you guys know what's up in the Changelog

I will update with new builds as often as I can
Root is not working with the deafult setup. You will need to flash a differnet kernel and the SuperSU package.
The current ROM isn't a "feature packed" rom - if you want lots of flashy things stay away for now
Changelog (23-10-2013):

Cherry picked multiwindow. To use go to recent apps -> long press -> add to multiwindow. Pressing home clears.
All changes merged up until 22-10-2013.

Can you please write "a lot of exciting features" ? I really curious about that .
good news, thanks :good:

So just flashed this, first impressions? I think at this stage, it's a bare 4.3 rom, no add ons, no added features or anything.
Attached some screens.
UI scrolling is a bit laggy, comparing this to my stable setup of purity+fancy ext or even my vanir setup.
This will just get better in time, so let's all stay tuned, but for now, i flashed back my nandroid as this is too bare for me.

Same feeling, nothing special at all currently, almost pure stock.
The only thing I found is the status bar of lock screen is transparent.

Does this build have multi-window? If not, would you please add this wonderful feature? As I read somewhere, it isn't merged to source. You will have to patch it.
Let's test this rom.. i think it will be amazing :fingers-crossed:
Thanks Syko :good::good:
Edit: Except the launcher (that is laggy and a bit slow) , everything is perfect
Really fantastic work
Syko , Hoping you will be the maguro maintener
big names in this project ...I think it will be great&unique Rom
Hope devs will add also and only useful features
Thank You sykomaniac for this build, hope You will enter Omni Team and You will become the official mantainer for Maguro

[Galaxy Nexus]
Will omniROM builds be device independent or will device-specific features be added into it, I mean will it just be ported or will it be enhanced for best performance on the galaxy nexus?
You know if it's just ported it'll be just another AOSP ROM with tons of features but it may lag or slowdown like most ROMs, while if you look lately at ROMs like vanir or cataclysm they're so fast it's insane.
So the question is will omniROM be ported THEN optimized for the galaxy nexus or does it come enhanced already?
(tl;dr Idc about most features going away if the ROM stays at least as fast as vanir, convince me to switch xD)

[ROM] [4.3.1] [AOSP] Gummy ROM [NIGHTLYS]

Gummy ROM is made for speed, stability and to stay as closely in line with AOSP as possible while still supporting a large amount of devices and giving you all of the features you love. It isn’t slowed down by features you’ll never use nor is it so slim as to be just another AOSP build.
Features:
* New base built from AOSP
* Status Bar Mods
* Theme Manager
* Hardware Key Mod
* Lock Screen Mod
* Many Wallpapers
* Performance Control
* Application Permission Controls
* Carrier Label Options
* Background Style
* Lock clock widget
Instructions for installations:
1. Download ROM- http://old.androidfi...am_Gummy/m7vzw/
2. Download Gapps
3. Push to sdcard
4. Reboot Recovery
5. Wipe Data and Cache
6. Install ROM
7. Install Gapps
8. Reboot System
** I also do my own builds that are more up to date. They include my own custom kernel and have the updated RIL from cm where the nightlies do not
link: http://projectelite.net/actngrezy/buck/gummy/roms/gummy-m7/Gummy-1.0-10-29-13-UNOFFICIAL-m7vzw.zip
-KNOW ISSUES for my personal build(unaware if they exist in the nightlies)
1. IR Blaster
2. Some Kernel features are still under development
Contributions:
* Thank you to Cyanogenmod for device and hardware repositories. Without this, porting Gummy to QCOM devices would have been nearly impossible.
* Thank you to Google for the best source code.
* androidfilehost.com for hosting our file servers!

Was running Gummy on my GNex and my S4...and now my HTC One...thanks brother...BTW nightly link still dead but the personal build is out of this world...great job...even better than my S4
Any updates for this ROM?
I love the speed and batterry life but the GPS is broken. Currently running Bucky's build.
Build Date: 10/31/13 Gummy 1.0-10-31-13-Nightly
I posted a build that is more stable(I think). It's an older build(by 2 days) but everything works better. There are absolutely no feature changes between the two. Just a difference in the device repo changes that were made. It's the link to my personal build in the OP. Here's a new kernel too. http://projectelite.net/actngrezy/buck/gummy/kernels/m7/kk/elite_m7-11_11_2013.zip

Well as soon as this RIL getting hosed issue is resolved that I am having, I will get a build posted. It seems that most 4.4 roms are having this issue, so this fits in well with those. Otherwise all sensors and cam is working. I wont post a build that is going to hose someones RIL.
anyone here REALLY comfortable with fastboot and adb pm me for testing. I need someone who will be going into this knowing that they are running the risk of having use fastboot and adb to recover their device and are comfortable doing so without any direction.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why isn't there XXXXXXX feature.
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But CM and all the others have..
A: ROM developers, including CM, build something they want to use. The ROM dev that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't (or don't want), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Octo-Kat

Bugs:
Basic Instructions:
Download ROM .zip file
Download KitKat GApps - * See Note Below! *
Reboot to Recovery (Note: Use Three-Finger or adb reboot recovery - ROM Manager or similar software is NOT supported)
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses - We do not support flashing on CWM but it can be used if TWRP can not flash ---
Flash ROM, GApps files
Clear Dalvik/Cache
Reboot
A Note about the Team OctOs GApps
We in Team OctOs believe in choices. We believe in leaving the fundamental decisions about your phone to you.
In that spirit, Team OctOs gives you options for your GApps experiences. While any ODEX'ed GApps package should work, we offer you the choice of using some of the same GApps packages that we use ourselves, and leave the choice up to you.
You can find our Team OctOs GApps packages here, and break down into the following types:
GPe - Google Experience
Regular GPe GApps
Dalvik-Enhanced GPe GApps
AOSP
AOSP GApps
Dalvik-Enhanced AOSP GApps
The Dalvik-Enhanced packages are NOT ART compatible. If you plan to run ART, don't use those.
We will only update the thread with Stable Releases, whenever possible. This means that the thread may be behind non-milestone releases. If you have an issue with compulsive flashing, or feel the need to live 'life on the edge of brick', we invite you to follow us on Facebook and/or Twitter. Any dailies that can be released, we will release there. Please note, we pull these releases after a day or two, so if the latest link posted there is empty, simply wait until the next one.

I'll give it a shot... thanks:beer: first
ROM is great atm fast, stable, cam is good. Screen shot isn't perfect but works fine (blurry for preview but that's all). I'll get back with other stuff (if there is any). Hope the battery holds better than the other KK ROMs... :thumbup: also I did not use twrp, had no problems at all
flashing as we speak! Will report back tomorrow!
Apnsconfg.XML is not in Etc folder for now just extract one from a rom and drop it in to etc folder and reboot I'm working with the OctOS team to get full device support but I'm tired and off to bed

COOL ! I'm hoping next build will have USB tether fixed (FYI - Vanir and BeanStalk are both fixed as of latest builds so I'm confident you will get that fixed on Octo and HellFire)...and once again THANKS for all your hard work on the various ROMs you've been building for us
..... and that super-duper one shot .....
Lol you forgot some SuperNexus 2.0 port

I'm very interested in running this. Thanks bthorne79. Do we still need to drop a different apnsconf.XML file into this to set data and MMS to work??
