[Q]Baseband Problem - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Lately my arc has been experiencing problems with the baseband.
It works fine right after i flash any baseband, but after a few reboots it doesn't get any gsm signal and wifi also doesn't work. Baseband is unknown in options..
I have to re-flash the baseband to get it working again.
I hope you can help me, because this is driving me crazy.

[Q] Radio dropout?!?!?!?!?

Hi all
I've been seaching the web and XDA but I cant seem to find a solution to my problem.
I have a Galaxy Nexus GSM:
Android version: 4.01
Baseband: I9250XXKK1
KERNEL: 3.0.1-ga052f63 / android [email protected] # 1
Version: ITL41F.I9250XWKK9
The phone is rooted as well.
My problem is, that everytime I try to upgrade my ROM and / or Kernel to 4.02 / 4.03 or a tweaked version of 4.04, I get Radio dropouts.
50% of the time a have a signal and 3g as well, but the sudently everything drops out for like 2 min, and then It'll all come back?
The only way my phone is stable is with the 4.01 kernel as descibed.
Is this b.c. I need a special ROM and/or KERNEL for my phone (I live in Denmark)
Please help me out
Best reg.

Same exact issue. I've tried multiple radios and the issue persists. Starting to consider a warranty replacement...
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Solution:
I had this exact same issue with stock kernel using asop 4.0.3 from team klang, I tried multiple radios and still no luck however switching to this kernel helps for some reason:

It really worked for me. No drop outs in 4 days vs the drop out twice a day.
Good luck
Problem solved!
used you solution and everything is great!!!
Ill give another reply in a couple of days when done testing ;-)

[Q] Baseband .42 Problems

So I just got a play and rooted, and whent ttrough the unlocking processes and everything was good. There seems to be one problem that follows me no matter what ROM i change to. I am using ICS++ right now with baseband .42 and doomM kernel and my only problem is Wifi (I believe there is a fix for that, ill have to keep looking) but what really is bothering me the most is when i make calls. When i make or receive calls, sometimes that person cannot hear me and i have to call back. This is annoying and i just went from Darkforest ICS with darkforest kernel to doomMkernel with ICS++ and im still having same problems. Any suggestions?
for doomkernel, did u flash the wifi module?? and ics, sony recommended user to use .62 fw.. try flash the .62 fw and look if it solve your problem..
For the DooMKerneL, I flashed the wifi module. that wasn't too much of an issue, but my concern more was that calling problem where people would call me and they would not hear me but i could hear them. So I just left ICS all together and went to 2.3.4 with DooMKerneL v13 and .69 baseband

ARC S Which Baseband

Basically, I just downgraded to gingerbread from ICS 4.1.b.0.587 due to performance issues. What are the benefits of flashing the latest baseband which is the one from 4.1.b.0.587 the one from that is version 77, works fine, back to the question how will it perform on gingerbread and is it a more preferable one to use or not, also how are newer baseband's better, since they are responsible for the communication.

[Q] Identify Baseband

Hi
I am using lg lu6200 running sphinx v3. I flashed baseband 167. I want to know how to identify which baseband are you using. Because when you go in setting >software info >under baseband version this version is shown "MSM8660/MDM9600". Now how do you know which baseband is installed. Because before flashing this 167 baseband, the version number was still the same. BTW by flashing baseband 167 i am observing a great battery improvement. 100% at 7:00AM and 67% at 5:35pm. Moderate use calls and many sms.

Xperia Play help (overclocking)

Hi, i have recently got myself an Xperia Play R800i and i have noticed that this phone can be Overclocked to 1.4GHz due to the fact it is an Underclocked version of a 1.4GHz CPU, i would like to Overclock my Device, but i'm on stock ROM and stock Kernel. (i'm rooted though, with BusyBox)
My bootloader is not currently unlocked and i would not like to wipe my phone if that is avoidable.
My Details are below:
Android Version: 2.3.4 (GB)
Kernel: 2.6.32.9-perf
Build No: 4.02.A.0.42
Model No: R800i (GSM)
I'm not so tech savvy as some people on here so please don't go into too much detail, but can i have an explanation on how i can Overclock my device easily?
Thanks in advance,
Zomboid.
Also, i have Flashtool and the drivers installed for my device
