Hi
I am using lg lu6200 running sphinx v3. I flashed baseband 167. I want to know how to identify which baseband are you using. Because when you go in setting >software info >under baseband version this version is shown "MSM8660/MDM9600". Now how do you know which baseband is installed. Because before flashing this 167 baseband, the version number was still the same. BTW by flashing baseband 167 i am observing a great battery improvement. 100% at 7:00AM and 67% at 5:35pm. Moderate use calls and many sms.

I loaded CM7107 with baseband 64.Everything works fine except of battery drain. I read in the forum that firmware may play some role.
How can I know which firmware am I running?
in device info in settings or read chanellog for cm7 there shoudl be version of frimeware.
Lately my arc has been experiencing problems with the baseband.
It works fine right after i flash any baseband, but after a few reboots it doesn't get any gsm signal and wifi also doesn't work. Baseband is unknown in options..
I have to re-flash the baseband to get it working again.
I hope you can help me, because this is driving me crazy.
Phone: Xperia arc
ROM: Arconium 4
Kernel: ArcKnight RC3.3 OC
Baseband: 72
I noticed when I installed the new ROM on my Arc that there are a few basebands mentioned (56. 60. 70. etc). What is the difference between them? Which one is best for me? Are they location specific or is the higher number always newer/better?

Baseband is the software for the CDMA cgipset in your phone (GSM and wirelles). Baseband version represents the software version and offcourse like any software is best to have the latest software . Now, the latest baseband for arc / arc s is BB72... but from my personal experience for better battery life BB70 is the best.
Now, be carefull before flashing any baseband, Kernel and Rom is dependent on this baseband, and certain combinations (basebands and roms) might not work .
Here is my configuration, which i find the best posible :
Baseband : 70
Kernel : Arc night 3.3 Stock or Sirkay if you want OC
Rom : JJ`s Hybrid Rom 3.2 stable
not the latest is the best, it's location specific! See Flashing a baseband and why you should do it. Optimum baseband means harmony between battery life and signal reception. Try to look in the thread for your location, if it is not there, try experimenting with various basebands (make few phone calls before switching to another). For custom ROMs its best to ask its developer.

The person who asked the question is in same country with me and has same gsm provider........
Basically, I just downgraded to gingerbread from ICS 4.1.b.0.587 due to performance issues. What are the benefits of flashing the latest baseband which is the one from 4.1.b.0.587 the one from that is version 77, works fine, back to the question how will it perform on gingerbread and is it a more preferable one to use or not, also how are newer baseband's better, since they are responsible for the communication.
Baseband
Here is the collection of basebands and also there is list to use which baseband respective to firmware version.

Hello guys! I have a LG F180S and before I screwed up my phone I had a M9615A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.12034 baseband and my signal worked flawless. After installing CM11 on it the baseband got changed and I had no network. Do you guys know where I can get this baseband as a flashable zip or something? Please I need it to get my signal back
