How good/precise is One V GPS? does it have glonass? - HTC One V

I'm planing to buy One V, i travel a lot so i need phone with good gps, after horrible Galaxy S, to excellent Iphone gps.
So when you use just pure GPS without A-gps how much is need to get fix, and if you compare it to other phone what is your opinion?
can somebody post GPS test screens?
does it have support for Glonass?

yes navigation, but if you get my point, im asking how good is gps reception without gsm data turned on, how much satelites you can see, and hoe much One V use them, here is the tool for that
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chartcross.gpstest&hl=hr

The GPS receiver on my One V is incredibly fast and sensitive compared to my Galaxy Tab 8.9 and Wildfire S. I'm really quite happy with it.

WRONG, come on people don't post blatantly incorrect information.
I have tested and GLONASS support is there and, if you don't believe me, it also says it supports GLONASS on the box.
One V has a great GPS, it just misses out on a digital compass.

Just got mine and am impressed with the GPS. I toggle it on and check GPS status, got 8/11 satellites immediately. Indoors.
As far as accuracy it seems spot on, within 3-5 meters.

HTC Locations?

Hi everyone,
I'm considering buying this phone because it's heading to Canada, but I'm wondering whether or not the phone comes with HTC Locations or Navigation or whatever the heck it's called.
Not having it is a real dealbreaker for me. I appreciate your help.
Thanks in advance!

of course there is, because htc Wildfire S with A-GPS support (Internal GPS antenna built in) for detail Specification look at http://www.htc.com/www/product/wildfires/overview.html
I meant the HTC Locations or the Premium Navigation app. It's quite obvious that every smartphone nowadays has some sort of GPS capability.
(Hell, HTC were the first ones to implement GPS on mobile devices, why the heck would they leave it out now?)

I agree GPS has been great. Thanks to the qualcomm s3 it works great. Not so great for some of the exynos chips on other galaxy s phones. Look at epic touch 4g and you will see they are not getting such great results. Something with the chip and sprints radio's must be conflicting. The galaxy s II from at&t seems to be working well too.
Yes, I must agree. This GPS locks very fast and it is pretty darn accurate. I am loving this phone so far.

Yes, CM7 on the vibrant does have flaky GPS. I'm sure you meant to post in that forum as the SGSII doesn't have any GPS issues

There's nothing wrong with the GPS. aGPS stops working and there are no satellites downloaded, and there is no fix.
GPS Fix actually seems to have worked because now it's reliably getting a fix.

You really shouldn't need gpsfix. I have it out of force of habit. If you're losing the ability to lock, there definitely seems to be a problem with it. I'd take it back and ask for an exchange, just to be on the safe side.

Used the gps today on a two hour trip with tons of turns through the city and it held strong and didn't lose me once. Works really good which surprised me because one thing about older Samsungs phones is the gps would always flake out.
I am currently using the GPS in DC and its amazing. Usually my other Android phones would re-calculate
in the City, not my GS2!!! I'm in love.

Anyone having trouble getting GPS lock using the Telus SGS2X? I'm in downtown Toronto and I can't get a lock for the life of me, it just bounces around my neighborhood.
Used it in Seattle the other day, only time I lost GPS was when I was 4 floors underground in a parking garage. Saved me a lot of time. GPS has been horrible on all Samsung phones I've had until this one.
Now we just need a good offline GPS app.
I have problems if I'm on WiFi and try to get a lock off of WiFi. I have to restart the phone. Happened to a replacement too so don't tell me it's the phone. The GPS hardware obviously is excellent, just this bug that has existed on all of my T-Mobile phones (GPS won't lock on WiFi, probably due to aGPS authentication) is carrying over when I'm off of WiFi.

Iphone wifi vs androidz

So I was in school today and found out that it has a wifi through out the whole building.. and my friends iphone 4 was able to pick it up however our beloved androids (desire Z) wasn't able to detect or pick it upp..any thoughtts on why not cuz I'm going nutts here.

Well the iphone might have better reception then our DZ. However what radio do you have? This can affect performance. Roms can also make a difference. If I remember right I'm running th .30 radio, which isn't the latest but it has alsways worked well for me. I don't have an iphone to compare so I don't know if it better or worse.

I'm wondering if this phone is still worth buying or it's better to wait for the Lumia 620. Question to this site: is this phone still relevant/worth it?

Might look at this if it's significantly cheaper than a Lumia 620 at around specified time.

IMO, I think HTC devices are better. Every Nokia I have had has been junk. Not sure/don't understand why everyone likes Nokia so much.
My one v is awesome, runs great. Only issue is grip of death signal issues. Are you going for CDMA or gsm?
Also I'm not sure what the Nokia you are looking at is. If its android, check out their development scene. If its slim pickings, you may be stuck on ICS or jb for a long time to come. A few devs for a device go a long way.

I'm either going with Virgin mobile $35/month if I get this or T-mobile $30/month if I get the 620. So a CDMA 1V as It's cheaper for the CDMA model. Does skype on android support rear camera video?
Not sure about Skype, it should work though. I am on the VM 35 a month plan and its great. Signal strength is just as good as my friends with sprint phones.
I do recommend groove IP for internet calling. Its a good alternative to using up cell minutes.

I really like the One V, I really like the build quality and how it grips with one hand. Its not the fastest phone in the market but for the price its well worth it. I use mine more like an mp3 player as I don't pay for service. My only grip is no FFC. To take self portraits look to the nearest mirror and point the camera lens towards you also works for video chat that allow you to use back camera for video chat.

Maybe you have problems with the reciver at the behind cover of the phone, have some gold metal parts, it do of reciver.
l have a frien with a Sensation that have that problem, is because the cover of the phone cant contact the reciver module on the board of the phone.
Other is maybe the software, try to restore to stock, my stock rom dont have any problem with signal.
