What about flashing agat's ff18 recovery, calk's format all, then Blazer ICS?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
Odin el26 kernel then calks format all the then flash blazer ics done easiest quickest and safest way hands down have done this many times on every new build release of blazer CM9 and aokp with no problems

This ROM is completely stock with exception that root/busybox is included and it uses the stock(No CWM) kernel.
All must be flashed through CWM, so flash the modem also in the same CWM session because once you reboot, you won't have CWM
Factory reset \ Data format is HIGHLY recommended(use FORMAT ALL attached before flashing)

Who will be the first to get a custom Themed rom up?
Bets anyone?
Caulk is the man! Flashing once I get home. Gonna finally go back to el29 to try and get my borked GPS working.
I've been flashing CWM Touch just to flash the Rogue Kernels and that seems to do the trick but no ROM flashing happens in the Touch interface. Since theres no FC14 custom recovery I'll just be odining to EL29 and hoping for a GPS lock.
I've tried GPS Doctor, GPS Fix, and GPS Status... none of them have worked and I've lost all GPS functionality since I turned to ICS.
battery life is fantastic on this rom! I've got 40% left and I've been running it for 16 hours!

I think the first themed will be Agat63.
I am currently running the epicTouchAOSPmod....my question is how can I update this rom with out loosing my current set up and having to start all over? I know that flashing a GB kernel isn't compatible with ics so it won't boot past the splash screen...any one know if there is a way for me to upgrade??

You need to odin a GB kernel, then upgrade, then flash one of ICS kernels.
ICS question.
If I'm running Calk's stock/rooted/fc07 v.1.0 and he releases a 2.0 version can I just flash over the upgraded version of fc07 without reverting back to GB el29?
OR
If I want to flash sfHub's fc15 ics rom can I just flash over ICS to ICS?
Thanks,
Pp.

You should be able to upgrade FC07 stock to FC07 modded by Calk.
You should probably wipe when flashing someone else's FC15.
But first odin to el29 kernel. I heard that you could brick the phone by using FC recoveries. I think even Rogue team suggest using EL29 kernels for flashing things over their own FC kernels.
Here, use this http://goo-inside.me/kernels/TeamRo.../rogue_ET-recoveryonly-1.1.4-rc0-odin.tar.md5 . This is an EL29 Rogue kernel I use.
Without having a dev do a repack of the Kernel?
Is there i way i can ODIN cwm recovery onto these new leaks of ICS as they are released?

No they have to do repacks its part of the kernel
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk 2
Even if you could it is not a good idea to flash using repacks.
Edit: we won't get any official CWM for ICS until kernel source is released.

I just loaded Calk's 3.0 gb rom to run for a while. Which kernel can I load that is safe to flash in?

As long as you're only flashing GB roms and/or mods to those roms any kernel is safe. You only have to worry about the brick bug when flashing from an ICS kernel or when flashing an aosp rom from a twiz kernel that hasn't had the MMC_CAP_ERASE command edited out

If one is using a GB kernel and a JB Rom are you truly running JB.
Well no you won't be running JB because it wouldn't boot with a GB kernel

You tell me.
You used el26 kernel to flash cm10 but then cm10 came with its own kernel.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
As they said. Once you flash a rom the kernel in that rom replaces the one that was on the device. CWM6 will be pretty easy to identify upon boot versus the CWM5 in the el26 kernel a quick boot into recovery will be a good sign for you. Could always go into the phone information and look at the current kernel.
