I have a stock locked bootloader, unrooted GSM One X that will not boot. Anything I do results in the htc quietly brillant screen. But below it reads this build is for development purposes only do not distribute outside of htc without htc's written permission.
I tried clearing cache from fastboot, but it didn't make a difference. Unable to unlock the bootloader either.
Just would love to wipe this phone and get it working!
Thanks.
In bootloader does it say anything like tampered or relocked?

Won't work, almost anything I do in that menu results in the same HTC quietly brillant with error message screen.
Go back to the store and have it replaced !
It is a taiwanese model, so I will not be returning it haha.

That's normally comes out when battery is low but not sure for your case.
Mic problem is more to hardware problem, only a Service Centre can fix it.

Try factory reset. It will work.
If you don't want to do that,
Clean cache of all your application.
And another thing at least once in day.
Also do not keep back end syncing.
And some apps like chat messenger's try to avoid those or atleast keep those apps which you use very often.

I have a HTC One V(CDMA) that was rooted and unlocked bootloader. Now after I unrooted the phone and relocked bootloader runnnig on stock Android 4.0 ICS, it won't do a factory reset. When I try to do factory reset it, it will not get past the red HTC development screen. How can I get past the red development screen so that I can factory reset my phone?

You unloacked bootloader but did you flash a new stock kernal while installing your stock ICS?
If not , flash your stock kernal by going into fastboot mode.
This problem generally comes when there is mismatch of version of kernal and ROM.:highfive:

Can you get into fastboot ? If you can there is still hope and it isnt BRICKED ....... Fastboot usb ... fastboot flash recovery again , then flash a correct rom . if recovery still isnt working try fastboot reboot recovery ..... and you may have to RUU . but as long as you have fastboot you still have a fighting chance .
I've tried to just flash the recovery through boot loader. Does the same thing. I'll try fast boot reboot recovery. How do I RUU? Can I flash a rom in fast boot?

I would REALLY start reading about all the things NOT to do with an S-OFF phone if you think you bricked your phone on a bootloop.
I honestly don't want to see your beautiful phone actually get BRICKED. which means just that it's a brick.. it doesn't turn on, no charge light ANYTHING, that is a brick. And can happen, but if you are careful you will be fine. but Not knowing how to flash an RUU and what a bootloop is, those are things you should learn BEFORE you S-OFF. Just don't want to see you end up with an actual Brick.

Please guide me and u can give me links for the rom or recovery or whatever here...It doesnt matters whether its custom rom or stock or official...I just need my phone to be in a working condition.
How should i install the rom now with S-ON or how to S-OFF if anyone can help me out...

It still persists..Let me tell you from beginning.
1. Went into CWM recovery and formatted cache, dalvik cache and wiped to factory reset.
2. Then clicked on 'install from zip' and installed the rom which you gave in other thread,,,i.e.
Signed JB 4.1.2 HTC Desire 600 Sense5 rooted v.1.16.401.3 - https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B6WB.../preview?pli=1
3. Then rebooted the device into bootloader and clicked Fastboot.
4. Extracted the rom file and copied the boot.img to fastboot folder.
5. Then opened the CMD window and gave the command fastboot flash boot boot.img
6. Got this message there
sending 'boot' <16383KB>... OKAY [2.719s]
writing 'boot'... OKAY [1.938s]
finished. total time: 4.672s
7. Then click on REBOOT from bootloader.
8. Device rebooted but still stuck on that HTC with beatsaudio logo...Can't get out of it...
NOW TELL WHERE I AM DOING THE PROCESS WRONG?
REMEMBER MY BOOTLOADER IS UNLOCKED WITH S-ON..
Can downloading kernels from htc dev website help in any way or relocking once again bootloader?
