I got my one v around last year and recently, it became super slow and laggy. Any ideas how to fix this problem? On stock rom, not rooted, bootloader not unlocked.

Root, unlock BL.
If still doesn't solve use swap script or use turbo speed boost.

Try factory reset. It will work.
If you don't want to do that,
Clean cache of all your application.
And another thing at least once in day.
Also do not keep back end syncing.
And some apps like chat messenger's try to avoid those or atleast keep those apps which you use very often.

Stuck on red development screen
I have a HTC One V(CDMA) that was rooted and unlocked bootloader. Now after I unrooted the phone and relocked bootloader runnnig on stock Android 4.0 ICS, it won't do a factory reset. When I try to do factory reset it, it will not get past the red HTC development screen. How can I get past the red development screen so that I can factory reset my phone?

You unloacked bootloader but did you flash a new stock kernal while installing your stock ICS?
If not , flash your stock kernal by going into fastboot mode.
This problem generally comes when there is mismatch of version of kernal and ROM.:highfive:

But if I unlock bootloader and root it, will it void my warranty?

I have a stock locked bootloader, unrooted GSM One X that will not boot. Anything I do results in the htc quietly brillant screen. But below it reads this build is for development purposes only do not distribute outside of htc without htc's written permission.
I tried clearing cache from fastboot, but it didn't make a difference. Unable to unlock the bootloader either.
Just would love to wipe this phone and get it working!
Thanks.
In bootloader does it say anything like tampered or relocked?

Won't work, almost anything I do in that menu results in the same HTC quietly brillant with error message screen.
Go back to the store and have it replaced !
It is a taiwanese model, so I will not be returning it haha.

What I did was restored my original back up, then flashed stock recovery then relocked bootloader then ran the ruu and it wiped everything.
At a guess you'll need the 2.17 stock recovery, not sure where you'll find it unless its on the forum somewhere and the generic 2.17.401 ruu from the filefactory website.

have a read below, somewhere in it says any stock recovery should work as long as it is stock, then just run ruu, no need to restore

Hi guys, just got a dhd from a friend, he was on stock Rom and his phone recently refused to boot up, when he turns it on it goes to operator splash screen and then to HTC logo but then restarts, it never gets any further, its just a constant cycle, I thought I may have been able to root and install a new Rom , I can get into recovery using volume and power but because I can't enable USB debugging I'm stuck, can anyone help me, I don't know what I can do with it, thanks guys

Are you S-OFF? Do you have a custom recovery installed? If so, since you can get into recovery, just flash a new ROM.
No, its not s off and its just the HTC recovery I can get into, I have tried recovery and factory reset and its still the same problem

Can you boot into bootloader?
Do you got htc drivers installed?
Do you got adb installed?
Can your computer find your phone while in bootloader?
I have HTC drivers, don't have adb, sorry but I don't know what you mean by bootloader ?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Bootloader is the same as HBoot. It's the interference you boot into when you boot with power + Volume down.
Yes, sorry, I can get into bootloader but its the stock HTC one ?

No. If you want to get some help, then start providing information...what carrier is your DHD branded for? Do you remember what Version of android you had?
I guess you will have to make a goldcard and then flash an unbranded RUU.

If it is all stock and you do not want to root or install custom recovery/ROM then your recourse is to contact HTC for advice/repair.
There is little to nothing that YOU as a user can do without custom recovery and ROM installation to correct flashing issues.
O ok

Okay this is strange... Connected my phone to my laptop in a last resort to see if it would make any connection, started it up again and left it to be. After a minute or 1 my laptop said it saw a MTP USB-device connected so my hope was up.
I let it do it's thing for a minute or 5 and it continued to the quietly brilliant screen! After that it started up like normal and i'm up and running again:laugh: .
Thanks for the support guys!
