Since tom has posted this, most probably its real. And he is planning to release beta version soon.
What do you think is it real? If so it is a very good news for hd2 users.

Note:- I resized the pic so that its clearly visible.

if you consider that the HD was at first a WM7 test device.
and now HD2 is a MS Test Device. I would not be suprised at all to see this released.
Just because something is not getting an "offical" release does not mean anything.
I am not sure if XDA knows what the words "official release" means.

well pretty sure we knew it wouldn't be official but a test rom is EXACTLY what devs have been looking for since this debacle actually began
I can't wait for the release and that means the touch hd2 actually looks like a winner for me as the first wp7s device
but some questions
can one flash back to wm 6.5 or are we stuck

I'm thinking this is legit. I was holding off on buying a HD2 but if this gets released, I'll be running to the nearest T-Mobile store.

im thinking about getting an android device instead.

very cool will pick up an hd2 if price is right. But will have to deal with edge as the fuhrur said. Maybe import from telstra.

What the hell? That's supposed to be the interface of WP7s? With those gigantic font sizes? One word per line?
What's the point of having 800x480 pixels if you use 60-point fonts? 5 lines of agenda per screen? Will it be able to display one calendar month in a single screen or will you only be able to look at 4 days at a time?
This is an interface for short-shighted people?
Hell, fortunately the people designing Windows 7 does not think that the people purchasing computers are 5-year old children, or 85 year-old. That is scared by more than 5 lines of text on a screen or having to think where to put their files.
I'm not going to purchase a new phone that is a tamagotchi for 5 year old children. Use have been using computers at home for 20 years, we're in 2010, not 1984...

well hopefully this is real. does anybody remember windows mobile on iphone?

Might be sensible to hold off from overly wild celebration just yet - I believe that if we do choose to flash it, there is no way back due to some fundamental changes in the bootloader.
Personally I'd be interested to have a look at it if I knew I could get back to something tried and tested again. Still, I'm sure the good people working on it will figure out a solution if we give them time and space.
I just hope it doesn't turn into an 'xda special' - a bunch of impatient ingrates hassling the developers to release it and then accusing them of being con artists if they don't do it in a timescale that suits...

this night "I HAVE A DREAM" ^^, iOS was port to a desire lol.
i just want to know if it's possible, because we can port android to an iphone, but an iOS to a desire is it possible ??

i wish noobs would stop adding (dev) to uslesss threads thinking that it will add more kudos. 1) we have no source code nor ever will 2) we have no ios licence, and unless you buy one one, its piracy 3) iphones use omap cpu's where as we have an arm v7 cpu, so we haven even got compatible hardware FAIL

Maby try using MIUI ROMs ?

I think Android is better than anyone ios. So it's stupid to port ios in my HTC desire.

Sorry! Not here where I live.
I got my brand new Vodafone Desire for €350 while 3GS is still above €500 without contract.
Porting iOS to Desire is however stupid.

PLEASE! We need someone to port mac os x Leopard on the desire. then it will be the turn of windows 7 of course !!!..................

I've already got Windows 7 Ultimate on my Desire with the unlocked 2GB RAM and External USB hard drive extension...

@OP: Flash MIUI and stop this nonsense.
Get an iPhone. Or just flash MIUI, so much better. (I have an iPod Touch 4G to fap on when it comes to smooth interfaces. But I love my Desire. Even more if it'd stop rebooting randomly when it heats up.)

Dude.. He fixed that a long time ago.. As long as you're using a recent nightly or rc like rc 3.. look in the stock sms setting..message splitting is there.. And I'd erase this quick before you get shunned.. Lol just saying..

Hey,
Just a small question, so the logo for Windows Phone changed when 7.5 came around, why are we still using the Wp7 logo for these forums?

How about the fact that the dropdown at the top of the forum still says "Windows Mobile Devices" instead of splitting WinMo and WP7. Go ahead, click it and see how the WP7 devices are waaaaaAAAAY at the bottom. Or the fact that they only have forums for 3 of the 7.5 handsets up so far, and it took them FAR too long to do even that much?
Not sure, but I thought WinMo is what breathed life into XDA. Now Microsoft is the pariah and Android is the new favored child.

I for one, embrace our new android overlords.........

Head over to an Android section and run rampant. From these parts of the forums here it seems quite hard to draw attention of mods or the admin these days.

Just at quick glance I don't see the Lumia 710, Focus Flash, nor Focus S. I certainly don't see all of these: http://www.liveside.net/windows-phone/

I highly recommend against this, if the other mods realize there are WP7 forums they may try to move them to the same site as the iphone forums.

All the logos for the Windows Phone 7 devices need to be changed. Even the Titan and Radar have the old WinMo icons instead of the newer icons that the WP7 launch devices currently use.
They should all use the new red square logo really, or at the very least, the original green round Windows Phone 7 icon.

You must have s-off to change the cid unless you're willing to hack the device.

now wt my idea says that u just need to input email and password
and the apps work is to mail that to the assigned email lol
and then take the user to a Page not found or something like that error pages so it becomes completely incognito
