I'm asking because I rooted a month ago and forget which method I used, I know it wasn't just unrevoked it had unrevoked built in it though. Not sure how to move this thread.

probably 99.9 percent of the time if your post is a question, it should go in the Q&A forum. It doesn't matter what your question pertains to, it goes in Q&A.
And after looking, I don't think that you can move it. I think only an admin can do that, so n/m.
Just remember next time, if it ends in a ? or begins with a [Q], it should more than likely go into Q&A.
If you go to the autoroot thread it says the last time the program was updated was 3-12-11.
Next time do the same thing that I did. SEARCH. Don't expect things to be spoon fed to you, otherwise you will never learn anything. If you look at my history of posts, very few were questions. I learned almost everything that I know about the evo by searching. If you've searched and can't find it, then post away (in the proper section).
Also don't be afraid to use google either. I use it more than I use the search for the forum.

I finally got iOS to run on my EVO! Compiled ESP files from the PSP and converted them to .PHP format! Who wants the port?

yup, still up to date as long as you don't have a Japanese evo or the newest gingerbread rom.

Well if you answer it and move on like you said then they think is just fine and they'll do it again and again and again OR someone else would see it and think is just fine to do it and they'll do it....see where I'm going with this? Friend, with all due respect, EVERY SINGLE TIME that someone does this 15 people jump down that persons throat like this.
Does it stop? Nope.
Answer the question, kindly instruct of the rules if you feel the need to be forum police, and move on.

I understand where your all coming from... but damn.. it's a forum, I hope you don't take life this seriously, just move it and get over it. That's what moderators are for, if they don't like moderating, then find a different hobby.

Htc clocks running 10 min fast?

Anyone having time issues with there devices? Today found that my phone was 10 min fast, had to revert in settings on date and time, I have gingersense B3 2.3.3.
I read some where that this is going on over the pond also, whats your thoughts??

It has nothing to do with gingersense it happened to my wife's non rooted stock incredible.

yeah the other day mine was running 7 minutes too fast. A reset will fix it but it was odd I am running the leaked gingerbread

Its actually a world-wide issue. From the US to the UK.
I just turned off my automatic clock sync and switched to manual until we figure out whats happening.

I just went to settings (clock) and switched to manual then back to automatic and it fixed itself.

First thought is that the ten post threshold may be too low because someone posted something so utterly off topic in the dev forum.

The reason why people post questions in the DEV section is because if the question is relevant to developing ie HOW TO DO THIS.. OR THAT OR WHAT KERNEL RUNS BEST.. etc who better to ask than the developers. Why would someone go post a technical question about something in a generic question and answer section when no one with any knowledge will answer the question. Basically you people who have nothing better to do than NAZI a forum need to go put a D*&K in your mouth. Next time my car breaks down Ill go take it my drycleaners!

We are blessed to have this place to learn about our devices and have access to the work of all of the great developers. The least we can do is fallow the rules and respect the developers. Maybe some of us haven't read the rules, here's a good post from the last moderator of our forum on why we keep questions out of the development section and here's the general forum rules which plainly states that we should watch our language and respect other members. Thanks everyone for contributing to such an amazing community

[REQUEST]Search within a single thread

Hi there,
I apologise if this has been asked before (if it has can someone please redirect me to the relevent request?) but this is something I think would be nice to have for the XDA website if such a thing were possible to implement: searching for keywords within just one thread. Think about all the threads we have in here for numerous custom ROMs, themes, kernels etc where there are lots of people browsing and posting in said threads. As you probably know they can fill up quite quickly the more popular they get, which can make things harder for people who want to know whether a particular issue they have with a custom component (e.g. WiFi issues with a custom ROM, missing icons in a theme etc) is only apparent in their scenario or whether it's a bug of sorts which a number of people are experiencing. This I would argue is made harder still by the new 'iron fist' policy I've read about on this forum, which I understand is in place to basically keep the forum clean from rude/offensive posts, so-called 'trolling', and possibly repeat posts for things that have been posted about already (is this bit right?). I know that you can narrow down your search to only select sub-forums but even then you might also get similar posts from other threads within that sub-forum(s) which might not be in the thread you're looking for (e.g. it might be in a thread for a completely different ROM).
I can understand if something like this will be too complicated to implement from the forum admins' perspective but I thought I'd put it out there in case anyone didn't think of it before.

worked for me. Remember it searches for any of the words in the string, not exact matches. I think this has been discussed before as just the way it is.

There is documentation on here, but flashing a rom for the first time can still be daunting... feel free to PM me if you need any help and I'll try to walk you through it.

I've never seen a bunch of people make such a big deal over something as minuscule as someone posting in the wrong forum, needing help. Help him or don't comment. It's really that simple.

Iphone 5 vs ROOTED/modded Galaxy s3

I would do a review myself but I don't have an iPhone 5, and I'm still figuring out how to squeeze the most juice out of the sIII. Somebody should do it!
It seems to me that an overclocked, undervolted, HyperX HD Camera-modded sIII will just crush the iPhone 5 in terms of performance, battery life and camera. Am I wrong?

If there is one could you post the link? These forums are HUGE. I'm new, so I posted this thread after searching online and in these forums for a similar topic, with no success. But it's still cute to watch "senior members" march in with the hundreds or thousands of posts to mock the newcomers...

Why don't u do a jail broken iPhone 5 and rooted galaxy S3 just saying keep the playing field somewhat balanced haha. But no doubt we will win!!

It depends on you preference..mine is webos.
I phones are very noob friendly android usually does more but at battery life cost.....

True, but the possibilities on a jailbroken IOS device still seem pretty limited from what I've read here and there. There's no comparable way to boost your camera as there is on the galaxy with the HyperX Mod that I know of, or improve graphics quality as with ChainFire3D..

yeah if they had just said "this should be posted in the blah blah forum" then perhaps, but "IB4TL" and "Le sigh" with eyerolls is just dumb and completely useless.
