So I have been asked to tell everyone how I enabled 3G/4G hotspot without getting reboots. Well here it is for all. There is a flashable zip for a stock FF18 build and instructions on how to do it yourself.
The How to:
To start decompile framework.jar
go to this file
framework.jar\com\android\internal\telephony\cdma\CdmaDataConnectionTracker$2.smali
Search for (Around line 730)
Code:
if-eq v0, v1, :cond_2b
Change that line to this
Code:
if-eq v0, v0, :cond_2b
Search for the same string again and replace with the same as above. The second instance is around line 1150
Recompile framework.jar and now we are done with that file. (That part enables the 3G hotspot)
Part 2: Enabling 4G
decompile services.jar
go to this file
services.jar\com\android\server\WimaxService$4.smali
Search for (Around line 410)
Code:
const/4 v7, 0x1
if-ne v6, v7, :cond_156
Change that line to this
Code:
const/4 v7, 0x0
if-ne v6, v7, :cond_156
Search for (Around line 800)
Code:
const/4 v7, 0x1
if-ne v6, v7, :cond_2a5
Change that line to this
Code:
const/4 v7, 0x0
if-ne v6, v7, :cond_2a5
Search for (Around line 990)
Code:
const/4 v7, 0x1
if-ne v6, v7, :cond_3aa
Change that line to this
Code:
const/4 v7, 0x0
if-ne v6, v7, :cond_3aa
Search for (Around line 1185)
Code:
const/4 v7, 0x1
if-ne v6, v7, :cond_3ec
Change that line to this
Code:
const/4 v7, 0x0
if-ne v6, v7, :cond_3ec
Recompile services.jar
Flash both the framework.jar and services.jar to your phone. Done.

If you're running stock then yes thats all you have to do is flash zip but those on any AOSP files just pull the two .jar files and do a search for the necessary changes. The man was nice enough to give us a tutorial (hard part) lets do the easy part and implement it....
Thanks rujelus22

just took a quick look at CM9 service.jar file and I don't see the Wimax.smali needed to mod so at first quick glance I would say this is not going to work.... I am at work though and will probably snoop around the jar files later. Hopefully someone else may find what we need for AOSP by checking out this tutorial

Camera sounds removed
Volume rocker mod
Camera can be used with less than 15% battery & during phone calls
I have the same mod for FI03 if you want it as well.
The camera app is definitely one of the harder ones to mod, especially since they changed a lot of the code from build to build.

Honestly I can't stand odexed. There are several threads for odexing and deodexing your rom/apps in the dev section. I would just look there if you would like to odex it. Shouldn't take too long.Or just google dexopt wrapper, and you should be able to odex it just fine.

Hello everyone.As some of you might know that i am a member of the skydragon team and that is the only rom that has all my mods.From now on all my new mods will not be posted here but available only on the skydragon rom.The reason for this is simple,as you all know i'm a new guy and have a lot to learn so i find time really short.This time will be well spent studying and making new stuff.So you will find everything i have to contribute in the skydragon thread from now on as i just find supporting all roms difficult.But this thread will not be closed.All the mods that i have already made will stay here and also news and screenshots of new mods will be posted here so do look here every once in a while.

Anyone who wants to do this manually:
Decompile SystemUI.
Browse to \SystemUI\smali\com\android\systemui\statusbar and open "StatusBarFlag.smali"
Search for "sput-boolean v0, Lcom/android/systemui/statusbar/StatusBarFlag;->HTC_RECENT_APP_FUSION:Z"

Hello Everyone,
Last time I faced with that problem to. All I was needed I found here so thank You for sharing information and fix. :good:
Because it wasn't working when I did changes in build.prop and I don't like flash unknown files (version, source)
I did some research and there is result. All what You need is:
1) change line in build.prop
from:
Code:
persist.sys.usb.config=mtp
to:
Code:
persist.sys.usb.config=mass_storage
2) add value:
Code:
android:allowMassStorage="true"
in framework-res.apk/res/xml/storage_list.xml
where oryginal line look like this:
Code:
<storage android:mountPoint="/storage/sdcard0" android:storageDescription="@string/storage_sd_card" android:primary="true" android:removable="true" android:maxFileSize="4096" />
after change look like this:
Code:
<storage android:mountPoint="/storage/sdcard0" android:storageDescription="@string/storage_sd_card" android:primary="true" android:removable="true" android:allowMassStorage="true" android:maxFileSize="4096" />
After that You'll get another option in storage configuration panel.
Tested on my Sony LwW, CM10 FXP203. :victory:

Flashable .zip: Download
Tested on I9500 & I9505 device
Hey, thanks for the tutorial!
It would be awesome if you make a flashable .zip as it's only for touchwiz roms 4.3.
Thank you again and keep up the good work
