SHARING AND USE POLICY(ONLY FOR MY TOGGLES MOD)
Hello everyone. As some of you might know that i am a member of the skydragon team and that is the only rom that has all my mods. From now on all my new mods will not be posted here but available only on the skydragon rom.The reason for this is simple,as you all know i'm a new guy and have a lot to learn so i find time really short. This time will be well spent studying and making new stuff. So you will find everything i have to contribute in the skydragon thread from now on as i just find supporting all roms difficult. But this thread will not be closed. All the mods that i have already made will stay here and also news and screenshots of new mods will be posted here so do look here every once in a while.
Confirmed working on ARHD 18.

Wow, this is a really neat mod! I loved the AOSP Recent apps style. This is perfect for me. I find it more gesture friendly.
Thanks a lot! Is it possible to include a ''REMOVE ALL'' button like in AOSP??
i have been waiting for this thank you
nice one mate...I've been looking for it! thanks a lot!
Does this mean recent apps will actually work as it's suppose to be on sense roms? eg. goes back to whereever you last left it, instead of reopening the app like in stock roms

Anyone who wants to do this manually:
Decompile SystemUI.
Browse to \SystemUI\smali\com\android\systemui\statusbar and open "StatusBarFlag.smali"
Search for "sput-boolean v0, Lcom/android/systemui/statusbar/StatusBarFlag;->HTC_RECENT_APP_FUSION:Z"
Right on top of that line add "const/4 v0, 0x0"
Save and recompile

UPDATE In Post 2....
First thing is first...none of this work is mine...I just repacked it..
Thanks to Jumba,Bezke,Goldieking for the icons, D3StRoY for the Widgetlocker theme and rob for the wallpaper....sorry if I missed anyone out.....
Ok......
I repacked this theme as I heard a number of reports saying that Jumba's theme was force closing on the Insanity Rom...
I tried it myself and I had the same results so I decided to unpack the theme and do a little trial and error..
This was intended for my personal use but had quite a big response for it so I thought Id make it available to all.....
From what I found the settings.apk just didn't work on Insanity..flashing with CWM or pushing the apk with root explorer gave the same results...
Now some people may not have had these problems, so this thread is for people that have or for people that want difference status bar Icons...
What has changed...
A lot of the Insanity Rom is already themed green which helps as most of the apk weren't needed..
Took out all apk..
Replaced with -
Neon green and black Market 2.3.4
Darky's 9.3 settings (green)
Modded the Framework.res and changed the stat/sys files of Jumba's status Icons to Bezke Themed ones...changed Wifi, Signal and battery..
Works on multi DPI

Clock..
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=A8LUJREC
I use ADW Launcher EX, this is how I get the dots either side of the bottom icons, its a nexus look...
You can use launcher pro or course without the dots...you need the paid version to set the rows and colimns and size the clock...
In either launcher, set the rows and columns I use 10 rows and 7 columns I think.. set the dock to 3 and go from there...
Of course you can use you own stuff but its there if you want it....

Optional Lockscreen -
Screenshot
http://img852.imageshack.us/i/snap20110318100041.png/
I say Optional because you need a paid app
If that's not put you off then read on.....
Download widget locker from the market 2.0.2 I think is the latest at time or writing...
When you have widget locker, download these two lockscreens and put them on your internal sd card...here - (do not unzip them) -
data/com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker/themes
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GFLEDIU6
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GEO3SGN5
Im not going into full detail of this app, if you need help, then search on xda for more instructions..
In short...
When you have moved those themes to the location you can now open widget locker and choose them...
The D3S L002 is to lock your phone..
The PowerMod theme is for the msg, camera and web or whatever you want to setup..
When you have selected the powermod theme if you swipe it across you will see all options to change ...
Enjoy............Rixsta

Nice one Rixta!!! Exactly what I was looking for. Really stuggling to find a green theme for Insanity rom. Always used Jumba's theme for Darky's 9.2 and 9.3 and this is just perfect.
Tell me what kernel do you find best for Insanity??? (Please don't tell me the boobie one lol )
I wouldn't mind jumba with just three battery icon but only if it isn't too much work

Xan's kernel?! Using DamianGTO 1.2 kernel also OC and UV but battery drain is quite high. When using on Darky's 9.2 it was good drain. Dunno just gotta get my combo's right methinks.
The default kernel in Insanity seems good too. Stefano's??? What is that based off?? do you know? Voodoo?

Hey guys,
So in order to prepare for our (eventual) Vibrant Gingerbread release I started working on porting a couple of my mods to JVP just to learn and this just sort of happened.
With Gingerbread, I only needed to change one thing in the system, SystemUI.apk. The rest is set with my app. Furthermore, with how the app is setup, these mods can easily be ported to (I'm guessing) any Gingerbread ROM.
How the mods work: with how it is setup, there's almost no smali editing (I'm just as surprised as you are). I simply coded widgets in Java, and decompiled the new Smali classes and put them into SystemUI. Then all I had to do was change the SystemUI statusbar.xml layout to include my new widget. However, I had to add in some smali code to get the battery & the signal bar to toggle, however, they're very easy edits . Now on to the good stuff.
Installing
You can install the EDT Tweaks app or you can push it to /system/app
You must push SystemUI.apk to /system/app
I don't want to make a flashable quite yet because I want more experienced users to test this out, etc.
ROM Developers
You may use this in your ROM, however I have a few conditions:
-Keep the EDT "About" section intact. You may add to it, but do NOT remove anything from it.
-Do not rename the EDT Tweaks app, but you may provide your own icon for it
kanging is bad mkay
Sources
For people who wish to incorporate this into their own framework or modify it the sources are in my github (link in my sig, I suck at github btw)
Porting
As I said earlier, there's minimal smali editing. So. To port this to your SystemUI.apk you need to first decompile both of our SystemUIs, then grab the extra files from mine (BatteryText*.smali & Clock*.smali) and put them in yours.
Next, you can just grab my SystemUI.apk/res/layout/status_bar.xml and put it in the same location as yours. I doubt yours has changed much .
Alright almost done! Now to get the icons toggling (my text widgets will toggle without the following smali edits) you can just copy my StatusBarPolicy.smali over to yours OR if you really want to know the edits I did (if you're not using a Galaxy S based phone) open up com/android/systemui/statusbar/policy/StatusBarPolicy.smali and search for "# start." All of my additions start with it and will end with a similar tag. I can help if you like, just message me.
Bugs
- any modifications to the icons will take a minute to update (signal bar toggle & battery icon toggle, just unplug/replug to toggle it, or it will show when percent goes down)
Changelog
6/14/11
-- initial release
To Do
- dBm text!
- your suggestions... maybe

NOTE: I can't support this anymore as I don't have i9000 anymore. As always flash it at your own risk.
Update: I hear this one works with I9000 latest nightlies, ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1368083). To restore original, you need copy from the I9000 CM7/Insanity zip file cmparts.apk, systemUI,apk and android.policy.jar and put them in the restore file i have linked to be safe.
This is a mod to enter custom carrier name on CM7 based roms ( nightly, Insanity etc). I used doixanh's mod for his GingerDX rom as the base for this mod, stripped out the extra features and implemented a fix for the custom carrier name to appear in notification bar in addition to the lockscreen.
I wanted to do this as some members like me only saw carrier numbers when using CM7 roms and not carrier names. CM7 doesn't use spn_conf.xml like MIUI does or look into eri.xml like CM6.1 used to. Now I can enter whatever i want If you leave it empty, it will default to what you saw before you applied this mod ( carrier number or whatever you saw).
Link:
v1.1
v1.0
Installation is simple. just flash in CWM the zip file from above link. Once rebooted, in your settings->cyanogenmod settings you should see an additional category named Custom settings->custom carrier text. Here enter what you want, press done. Lockscreen takes effect immediately. Use the attached notification restart apk to restart your status bar and voila you should see it there as well.
Thanks to
doixanh ( for his mod and knowledge sharing)
ngiordano75 ( for lending a helping hand with android modding)
tenthstone( for notification restart app)
Have fun with the mod!

Fo the battery percentage you are right and for the theme also.
What i mean is a mod like this we are now.
To change through the CM settings the battery icon or the clock colour etc
As for the colour of overscroll glow i don't think there is an option in CM settings,
only to change between edge glow and bounce or both.
In SGS2 custom roms(not CM) there is already a mod to change colour of overscroll glow and even battery icon and colour of clock.
Hope to see them in CM too

Hi guys
I will post here some tweaks that i found it over the time on different forums.
1. Remapped Rosie right button (Rosie.apk) - right button it is assigned to camera but can be assigned to other application if look at this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1152549.
2. Picture of unknown caller (Phone.apk) - I've changed picture for an unknown caller with the one in the attachment. You must change 2 pictures in drawble-mdpi folder in phone apk: phone_default and phone_default_incall.
Rosie and Phone mods are packed in flashable zip: Rosie_Phone_mod.zip
3. Flashy Bravia Files Engine - I've packed Bravia Files engine in CWM flashable zip with the help from another forum that i don't remember for the moment.
4. Herring skin with a different dock - I took Herring skins made by "m1ndh4x8r" and I changer the dock. It's a work in progress: Herring_mod.apk
5. Advanced power menu from "m1ndh4x8r" with new icons for silent mode and mobile network: advancerebootmenu_mn.zip
If you have other ideas please let's shared them in here and I'm opened to suggestions and feedback.
!!! If it works for you or if it helps you please press thanks!!!

I don't know if it is possible to port it to sense 3.5. I use only sense 2.1 and i wasn't interested to port it, but i think it is possible. If you look to other devices with sense 3.5 and custom rom probably you will find extended quick settings.

I wonder if anyone can do sms button in right side of rosie. That would be great. Or maybe someone could add sense 3.5 rosie look to sense 2.1 ?

how did you get the battery icon with numbers? Can you please guide me how can i get that in my stock 2.1 GB 2.3.5?
Will the advanced Power menu work on a Stock GB Sense 2.1 ROM? Or do I need to deodex it?
All,
One of the main reasons I rooted was for the battery % modification as I can't believe this phone doesn't have it by default! So, the one that comes with ARHD is good, but it bugs me how during charging it doesn't match properly, I.E. the green battery background jumps left and right a few pixels and if you're around 11% to 19% it even jumps colours between yellow and red battery backgrounds. This doesn't do my OCD any good at all, no sir!
So I set about matching the pixels between charging and % when it struck me.... (after an hour or two of starting, typical!)
Why bother having the background at all?!
So, here is my 1% battery mod in the sense 5 simplistic style! My OCD can be put to rest now!
Attached to this post is a zip file that I've tested on ARHD 9.0 and it should work on future ARHD's based on the 4.1.2 Jelly bean bases UNLESS something major changes by Mike1986. It should also work on TrickDroid but I've not used that ROM (yet!)
What you need to do from the zip is put all the .png files into the SystemUI.apk file found under Android_Revolution_HD-One_?.?\additions\enhancements\battery\system\app into \res\drawable-xxhdpi
AND
The stat_sys_battery_charge.xml file into \res\drawable
I recommend using 7-zip for this.
Simples! I could attach the SystemUI.apk file here but Mike1986 may change it and then people put the wrong SystemUI.apk into a ROM and it may cause issues!
Obviously during the Aroma installation you need to pick the option to have the battery % mod as well!
You could also pull the SystemUI.apk file out of the ROM zip, do the above 2 steps and use "adb push SystemUI.apk /system/app" to put the file back if you make /system writeable before hand.
Hopefully what I've said above makes sense! Enjoy!
EDIT: I've just added a new fully transparent zip with all the battery icons fully transparent. This will look better for backgrounds which are lighter, although it may make the % harder to read if you use a really light / white background with the transparent sense bar. I would recommend using this one though as it will look the best for dark / lighter backgrounds.
THIS IS PERFECT.
The green battery was ugly. People with OCD tendencies make things so much more simple (and beautiful).
Thanks!

Please read op. This is not a flashable zip. This zip contains files that you should to merge into the arhd Rom file before flashing it.

Thanks for yours and everyone else's kind comments on this mod! I did think the same thing, why there wasn't a % icon for the battery or why stick to the same old battery style when they've overhauled so many other parts! The only thing that bugs me now is the battery & signal strength icons are XXhdpi but the bluetooth, sound off, wifi and other icons are xhdpi! So they look bigger next to the xxhdpi icons!
Unfortunately though, these aren't flashable zips and I don't think I will make one, someone feel free to make one and I can link it to the first post, but the reason I didn't is because it won't work on the other variants of sense 5. So I would need to do 5+ flashable zip files! And I can't guarantee they will work as I only can try the flashable zip on the ROM I'm running myself.
Love this look, but can you just do everyone a huge favor and make a flashable zip?
Thanks

Will this work with Trickdroid or any other roms? I am on ARHD at the moment, but wanted to try out other roms too.
This is exactly what I've been looking for.
Any chance to get this for latest Android revolution build?

This was the one I have been trying to get right but ended up going with circle 1% mods. I am going to plug this in to my TrickDroid setup now! Thanks!
