Hi I need some help with the chinese text input apk that I have shifted to my sys/app. Already changed the permission to the correct ones but unable to get it to stretch the entire screen. Is it because I've got the wrong apk?
I got the apk from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1141898
Thanks!
bump. any help?
that .apk is probably ment for another phone, have you tried playing around in the settings of the keyboard?
i have tried 2 apks for this keyboard and both are gotten from sony xperia arc forum so i guess they should be compatible right?
nope nothing in the settings help to adjust the keyboard.
What ROM are you using?
jj hybrid 3.1 with arcknight kernel 3.3
search a .apk for your ROM, my mate found one for ICS 4.0.4 and fit the screen size
no luck so far ):

Would someone be willing to upload the Xperia X10 home launcher apk file so I can try it on my SGS?
It looks quite good .
Thanks!
You'd better put a [Q] or a [REQ] tag at the beginning of the topic title...
And I think it would be a good idea to ask this in the X10 forum, but don't think it's possible to run it as simply as u think.

Oh ok thanks for your reply,
mods please add [REQ] to the title.
there is an edit button so you can do it yourself?
Personally dont like the x10s interface, laggy and horrible.

When I click on edit post it doesn't allow me to change the title :l
I just want to try it on my SGS, probally not keep it as a permanent launcher.
timescape on i9000? good luck with this one.
btw i'm not a big fan of touchwiz, thats why im using launcherpro. However i've heard that the timescape is the worst interface on an android device.
You could ask it to someone over at the x10 forums, since they have root they could just adb pull the launcher. But it's for 1.6 though, so I doubt it'll work on either 2.1 or 2.2
But when Sony has released their 2.1 update for the x10, it would probally be possible, unless sony uses an custom kernel, which you'd have to flash as well in that case.
You can edit the title, you just have to go to the advanced editing mode. And the X10 apps won't work on the Galaxy S. They have dependencies built into the framework like Sense UI.
I wish i could just get the phone apk integrated into my xt720.
I'd say that's all im truly missing from the Xperia X10
you can try this.
but for me I get FC all the time.
placed the apk on system/app then rebooted my device.
then edited build.prop and still no go

i needed an apk file i m using LeeDroid rom...thx anyway
I had the same problem. Beta expired and no apk would work.
In my frustration, I stumbled across another alternative called Ultra Keyboard. Has the swype method of input, and so much more customization. The swype method isn't as accurate as Swype's own, but it just means you have too slow your thumb down a little bit. And it IS only a little bit.
You can skin it to customize it's look, and even the free skins on the market place for the "Better Keyboard" app work for it.
You can custom height of keys, and have different settings for portrait and landscape modes.
Check out the trial and see what you think. Take some time too explore all the settings too.

As Swype is not licensed for use on the Desire, any Swype APK's or links to them are not allowed.
Please do not ask for the apk, and do not post links.

So I recently flashed MIUI MCGv5.3 for my i9000M and as much as I loved the ROM, I just couldnt stand the horrendous battery life. However, I fell in love with the music player that it came with. Ive been scouring the forums for a standalone version of it but all of the ones that Ive come across must be an older version because the layout is similar but a little different. Does anyone know if someone has ported it or if its possible to do?
I use these personally , i prefer the old miui music app.
anyway here are the miui music apps from the old froyo miui rom, and from the new gb rom, i signed them so they can be installable via a file manager, so no pushing needed.
Awesome. The GB one iis exactly the one I'm looking for. Unfortunately it's f/cing when I try to scroll down in the settings menu.

What Xperia S apps work on stock Rom ?
And where can I get them ?
Ideally lookin for phone APk and messaging APk

The first .rar file contains all the necessary .apk files for the phone.apk and the second is the messaging apk. Both files worked perfectly for me. I hope everything works fine. Make sure you keep backup of the previously working .apks before overwriting any of them.
I hope it helped.
You could try picking the apk from this modded rom by hand http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1565990, for me almost everything works: TV launcher, conversation, home, mms, widgets, music app, etc.
Can be closed got the apks I needed
Thanks

So that is the Xperia S ROM for Arc thread. I wanted to try that since its a fact Gingerbread works better on Arc than ICS. And there is no latest official Gingerbread than the one that is launched with Xperia S.
The s rom in arc thread is very good

I'm currently on thr Xperia Pureness ROM. I Love the jj hybrid keyboard as it is small and compact, perfectly for my needs. Because it does not use almost the half of my screen size.
Can someone please tell me the name of that keyboard and where to download it?
And is there any way to change the height of my current keyboard?
Thanks a lot
