Blue tooth copy depends on the class of the sd cards of the recipients. It also depends on the file size you are sending. 1sec 100% for a small file. % doesn't matter. You can't boost its speed I guess.

[Q] very slow speed on usb file transfer

hy i am getting verry slow speeds when transferring files of any kind from computer to phone.. i ve tried the sd cadr speed increas, i dezactivated the debugger mod .. and stiil i got the same speeds.. i have an DHD with gingerbred (android revolution 3.3.3)
speeds are about 300 kB with periods when it simply freezes but continue after 10 sec.
at the begining it worked just fine...and it is nothing wrong with computer because i even reinstaled windows
any ideas? ...
Thanks
Not a ROM issue.
Are you using the original SD card from DHD? if yes...you have your answers.
Just a f****** slowly card...
I'm using Super copier, within its a little bit better...
sorry for you. (and me too)
i am not using the default card.. and second at the begining it worked fine till i ve passed to gingerbred i think
Not development please post in correct subforums in future...
Format SD in PC
Then u have to consider speed of card what class is it?
If doesn't do it on other ROMs may be a ROM issue.
I'm not sure if the SD speed tweaks work on USB transfer but try this you can test with SD Tools
nothing worked yet.. any more ideeas????
Are you using the stock usb cable and is it maintaining connection? I had this problem recently. It kept stopping upload/download and it was like I kept plugging and unplugging the USB a bit later. After troubleshooting I realized that the cord had to be bent a certain way to make a decent connection so I went out and purchased a snug aftermarket USB cable. The cable is also better quality and seems to transfer data and charge faster as well. However, this could be in my head.
i ve changed the cable and the same problem ... i formated the sd card..
thanks any way
eny more ideas please
reinstall your USB2.0 drivers
What class card are you using?

Also, have you tried another card to eliminate the possibility of a faulty card?

Definitely a Rom issue - I have exactly the same problem on 5.2.3. If I boot to recovery I get good speeds but in the rom it is naff ........

Awesome to hear that you got the problem fixed!

i was wrong.. it is not an rom issue...so problem not solved yet
There's an app that can potentially increase your SDCard’s read/write speeds.
Basically what the app does is change your SDCard’s cache size (which is generally set at 128 KB on most Android Devices) to higher values like 2048 KB for greater read/write speeds. The link is below - worked for me on my old, slower sd card. The think the app was made by a xda developers member - the app's called SD Speed Increase

Any love on the question of better wifi management?

I've looked into this. The answer is no. The reason why is most devices including laptops are set for us consumers to get the furtherest range on wifi ap's. Now laptops atleast have an option in the connection properties of your ap called roaming its default option hangs on to wifi as long as possible then there is aggressive which will change the ap its connected very fast but I have not seen any app that will let you make a "wifi roaming" setting change. I believe its kernel level with our device.

Getting 10 Megs down on 3G with tweak

Stumbled on an app called 3G / 4G optimizer. There's a free version in the market. Bought the pro version for $3 something. On non-LTE, getting consistently 10 megs down.

Just did, it does increase the speed by adjusting network setting, I was under 1MB (my home is concrete floor) and doubled the spped to 1.5 after a reboot,
from a site on the net...
based on Build.prop Optimization.needs busybox.- Features -Number/Number/Number (example: 10/10/6) means GPRS Class/Max download speed/Max upload speed.Speaking Simply, Higher value boosts your data network speed, but it can causes battery drain.
the HOX international is a class 12 device, seem like the default are at 10 so increase seem to be quite normal!
I however doubt that placing 17 there will make our 3G device an LTE one...
Sis some more test, speed increase is real by maybe by 10-20% but in my case the modem was configured as 10 not 12 like it should have been...
Damnit root only, thanks anyways op

Just tried this, im on the Three UK network.
First I did 5 speedtests from speedtest.net without:
5255 / 2374
5007 / 1643
4678 / 2017
4592 / 1685
5098 / 1737
then 5 with, I selected the 12/28/7 - Max Speed (low battery) default profile:
5131 / 2304
5160 / 2347
6065 / 2399
7694 / 2364
5815 / 2390
then 5 with, I selected the 12/28/7 - Max Speed (low battery) download first profile:
5204 / 1962
5349 / 1654
5417 / 1616
4791 / 1787
5988 / 2386
I then tried to go back to the normal profile however and I had constant connection issues and couldn't complete a speed test, set it back to the other profiles and it works but it probably needs a reinstall etc. I've not had chance to do any testing on battery drain though.

Wifi Network hogging by Note ll

I've been noticing that every time I connect my Note ll to my home wireless, it hogs up the download bandwidth. I mean, to the point where if I launch speed test app on any other device it will show download speeds of arund 200 kilobits per sec!!!
I Know it is my phone as I've turn off every single device one-by-one and run wifi speed tests every single time, and I'm pretty sure 100% that my phone is the culprit. As Soon as I turn off my phone, the activity LED on my modem ceases, and I can run speed tests on any other device (even simultaneously) and still get my normal download speeds.
Have any of you ever experienced this with this phone or any other mobile device? Is there an app that monitors how much data is been downloaded or uploaded by any app / process via wifi? I found wifi monitor On the play stone but that doesn't tell me anything.
Thanks

I think I found one of the first culprits - Dropbox. As soon as I clear and disabled it my bandwidth became stable.
Why is there two Dropbox apps in the Application Manager?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk 2
the problem is the built in dropbox service, not the one you can install from the market. its called cloudagent or cloudsync, and it caches all pics and vids from your dropbox account to the internal storage (to show it in gallery etc).
for me I had to disable this, it almost totally filled my internal storage...

Right now I have it disabled. I'm afraid it just cripples my network once more if I enable my Dropbox account.

How much Data does WiFi Tethering take?

When i tether my one V and run some webpages from my labtop how much data does it consume? Does it consume the same amount of Megabytes of data as if i had ran the same web page on the phone's browser or does it eat up a lot of data?
It eats a lot more as.the content is more for eg the images lead on a much larger resolution in the pc and some commoners which don't work on android loss on ur layup top causing more download to occur

The tethering app that i'm using actually tells me how much my computer eats up while its on. Surprisingly my laptop can move from webpage to webpage with really good speeds despite only getting 0.6mps of data speeds. Why is it so much faster to load pages when my laptop is connected to my phone's internet than it is on the phone's stock browser?
Cause the 2g/3g speed on our phone phone is really not great but if u connect ur phone to wifi u will achieve as higher transfer rate c

also, is there any way i can use this or another method to increase my data speeds? their pretty bad.
1.yea ur provider gives u a certain limit like in 3g u get about 2 mp/s in ur phone it will use only half or less of that
yea pay more get a faster net
