[REQ] Anyone has stock recovery for Virgin Mobile USA One V? - HTC One V

Looked around and found nothing, guess the phone is too new.
I made this mistake of flashing CWM of GSM One V onto my VM One V, and while the phone still works now, the recovery crashes every time I attempt to use it - and I did not backup the recovery =( Anyway, I figured that this will be useful for other owners of the VM One V as well, so:
Does anyone out there have the VM One V, and have the means to extract its recovery partition? Can you post it? It'll be very helpful for the purpose of general reversibility of all kinds of hack. Much thanks in advance!
Just for reference, my software ver. (as displayed in the About page) is 1.08.652.6710RD.

I wish I had read this before... I just did the same thing :S

Could you upload your boot.img I screwed mine up...

I think Sprint is also cdma. Go to football's rom collection for Primo below, download the Sprint RUU and extract the recovery.img.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1591059

I'll report back within a couple minutes

The recovery works!! So much thanks CafeKampuchia (and Football)! I totally did not notice the "VM" in the name of the Sprint ROM =X
In case people find digging through the RUU too much trouble, here's the Virgin Mobile USA HTC One V 1.08.652.6 signed recovery for your convenience.
http://www.mediafire.com/?uo69rb7pajmo8rj
Will post the boot partition soon if RFrancis, or anyone who would PM me their email, is willing to test it. Don't want to post a faulty image, ya know. =)

Oh I'm here; i'll pm you my e-mail

Perhaps you'd like to try this root by user ckpv5 as it incorportes SuperSU as opposed to the one above.

I'm about to try it

RFrancis: Which one worked? The one in your post or the previous one in shubhamchamaria's post?

Both work... The one in my post just has SuperSU included...

[Q] Help: Phone Stuck in Qualcomm Diagnostic Mode

Hi all,
I recently turned my Wildfire S (A510c) from S-on to S-off and rooted it with no problems. I flashed a new rom onto it with no problems, decided I didn't like it, so I flashed a different rom. Now my phone won't turn on and is not recognized by my computer. All it does when I hit the power button (either by itself or with volume up or down) is vibrate three times. I understand that this means the phone is in Qualcomm diagnostic mode. Is there a way for me to get out of this? I can't even get into hboot.
I know its a different device but maybe it might help

Whew, thanks Pat. Looks like my problem is software related and not hardware based, so I still have a chance.
I have another question now... Could somebody please help me with the timing of the 'blind' recovery? (i.e. the button presses and timing of the button presses that I would have to execute). Any help would be greatly appreciated!

a BIG thanks to wildstang83 for this!
If you are getting vibrates when trying to boot your phone. do the following:
Download
build-3.26.605.1-release-152016-baseband-2.15.00.07.28-hboot-0.92.0000_PB31IMG.zip
google, you will find it.
backup your SD card, format it fat 32 and place this file on the root of your card. Be sure to rename it PB31IMG.zip
Once it is on your sd card, verify the MD5 to ensure the file was not corrupted during the download or during the transfer.
Hold Vol down + power. you will feel 5 vibrations
wait for a god 2 to 3 min. if everything is going correctly, your phone is verifying the IMG file and this takes a bit.
after 2 to 3 min. wait one more min
now, press vol up. this tells the phone to update.
wait 2 to 3 min for the update to happen then wait one more.
press vol up again. you should feel the phone single vibrate and then presto.. working phone again
next time be more careful
Please let me know if this did not work for you.
THANKS WILDSTANG!! You're what these forums are all about

I think you have to find correct PB31IMG for your Wildfire S first
edit: it should be PG76IMG.zip

Is that different from the PG76IMG.zip file?
Edit: I've extracted files from the wildfire S virginmobile RUU.exe, and now I have a data1.cab file that I can't extract from. I'm pretty sure the IMG file is in there. How do I extract it? I've used winrar, 7zip, universal extractor, all to no avail

Try renaming "rom.zip" to "PG76IMG.zip", format goldcard, copy "PG76IMG.zip" to sdcard, and boot to hboot. You can find "rom.zip" using this method. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18735553&postcount=4

From the directions in 3rd post its going into hboot you just cant see it. So yes use the "rom.zip" file, make sure rename it.
Did the search with RUU open and it did not find rom.zip.

Hey instead of trying to pry that file out of data1.cab, do you think this one may work since it's a completly stock rom with just a couple of add-ons. If it does boot up and it's not compatible with you service provider then you at least can see what you are doing and run a restore from a previous save.

Well the rom in the link I posted above didn't work. But then I also noticed that when I pushed +volume to tell the phone to update it didn't vibrate. The battery is still fine also. So it wasn't because the battery died. I think I may scream!!!!!

Im downloading the Virgin Mobile RUU, Im curious as to the differences between the cdma and gsm versions. They may or may not have the same files inside the actual rom file.

Well i won't make the mistake of trying to put a custom rom on this phone unless it is certified for Virgin mobile usa but then, I'm just rooted with link2sd and went in and removed all of the bloatware myself and it's doing pretty good. I guess the only thing I would like to do now is find a good custom kernel for it so I can overclock it to like maybe 750. But there should be more stuff coming in devolopment as the demand should go up this holiday season. They're starting and advertisment campaign for the Wildfire S(Virgin USA), which I also hear offers a lowered price. So we'll probably see more people with them in their hands now.
Yeah, I learned my lesson as well. I'm waiting for my new phone to come in the mail, but in the meantime, I'm going to try to cook a custom virgin stock rom without all the add ons.

My Phone no longer boots - completly my fault , can someone help please

Hello I really hope someone can help me.
My phone did the htc one x update (sense 5??) yesterday and i decided to wipe my phone to give it a fair chance to impress me.
as i was copying files over something got corrupt and i lost all my photos, i downloaded various apps to "undelete" but all needed root access.
I never wanted to root my phone but these photos are very important and can never be replaced now.
I used HTCDEV and unlocked the bootloder and the undelete apks still didnt work.
I followed instructions from some youtube video (i know .. like i say i know this is my fault) and then phone no longer boots
I can get into CWM etc and have installed 2 roms that i had downloaded from here and a nandbackup from here and still get same results - nothing
could someone please help me fix my phone (i have accepted i have now lost all my stuff)
thank you for your time and patience
larry.
Same boat, different quarters
looks like you and i have almost identical issues, perhaps the chap that helps you can help me as well.
htc one x, with rogers, with clockworkmod installed, nandroid backup already created.
so, my phone is rooted, has been for awhile. i attempted to install a version of cyanogen mod about half an hour ago using hte fastboot flash boot boot.img command.
it seemed to go fine
my phone can no longer boot past the htc screen. it appears to be trying to boot into recovery, but failing for some reason.
i tryed restoring my nandroid backup, no sd card detected. as anyone responding ot this will know, one x has no SD, but does have an internal SD partition. i couldn' even select my nandroid to restore it.
ive been searching for an HTC ruu to run without sucess, ruu's are only available for the US ATT model.
any help is welcome. thanks in advance.
@Wackywilly522 if you have the Rogers one x you are in the wrong forum, and anything you flash from this forum will damage your phone. You need to be in the Rogers, telstra, at&t forum. This is for the tegra 3 international one x

You were on stock Sense 5 4.2.2. So you are on HBOOT 1.72. When you unlock the bootloader and root the phone, the process wipes everything on your phone and your SD storage. So that's why you lost all the photos and everything. But if you have that data backed up somewhere on cloud, you can get it back.
Now as far as the phone not booting, you have CWM and you can get into it. Do you have superuser installed?
As you are on HBOOT 1.72, not every ROM can be flashed into your device now. Plz check the ROM if it can be installed on your device.
If it can be, a boot.img has to be flashed and then the zip can be flashed via CWM.

You lost your data is due to the fact that you unlocked your bootloader for the very first time. There is a prompt saying that you will lose all your data and advice you to back it up. Which probably you didnt that is why this results.

What's all the invalid version info about? Nonetheless, I can't say I have seen a HBoot look like that before without the other settings. Usually they are there. I am thinking it's corrupt.

HTC ONE M9- Viper One OTA?

Viper One OTA
So im running viper rom 3.50 however keep getting a notification about an OTA from ATT. I always say no (even tried blocking all OTA updates) but its always coming up, eventually rebooting into recovery. I know Viper says it has OTA.... so is this OTA from them. I dont know how an OTA works for a custom rom?
no idea.....go to the viperone rom post and send a pm to the developers..
It's been discussed in the thread. You'll need to disable two apps I think. Better off searching before asking. Htcdm and something else.

I have been searching, but keep coming up with nothing. Also I cant post in the forum page cuz im a newbie here. :/
Been a month or so since I ran Viper but had the same issue when I was on it. First off, you need to go to Settings > Apps, look for Htcdm, force stop it and delete the app data and cache.
After that, use either a root browser and delete the HTCDm folder from /system/app completely, or if you're weary of doing that (I did it with no harm when I ran Viper) you can freeze the app with TitaniumBackup. Your choice.

Seriously? you are encouraging him to PM (aka Private Message) the developers, for something that has already been discussed... not to mention the devs are not on AT&T.
