Thanks. I have Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 and i read a thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942957) which says you should NOT use ROM manager on Ace. I downloaded and opened it but technically haven't used it to take back-up etc. After I read this thread, I uninstalled it - I believe my phone is not bricked?
Also, How can I take a back-up of my ROM? I saw a thread(http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=18167974) recommending to use a custom app () but that's not tested. What should i do?
You help is appreciated!!
Dude..... first of all wrong forum, second HUGE bump! Third why don't you just flash a custom recovery and be done with it instead of using apps? Don't ask any further questions here please but at the galaxy ace forums.

Post in the correct forum, you can't expect people here to know whether ROM manager is supported for a galaxy ace.

Hi
Iam a beginner at this but a got an answer on you threat when you posted the samsung galaxy gio mod with cyanogenmod 9.
I followed the link and you explaned how to flash and how to install that.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...05&postcount=4
Thanks very much.
But here are my questions, plz answer them all.
1. Whats the difference between flashing and rooting your phone? Do i need to root it before i flash it?
2. How can i erase the mod later if i dont want it anymore. maybe change back to samsung touchwiz?
3. What backup do i have to backup?
Is there any guide for that?
4. Is there any risk of damaging your phone if you root it or flash it? What could happen? And can you restore it to factory settings?
Thanks for the help man, i really appreciate it

If you are a beginner, I suggest not to flash cm9.

I recommend to use stock first, root it and tweak it.

Rempuzzle is rooted, in fact all the custom roms here are pre-rooted.
Look in the wildfire development section.

WildPuzzle is a good one and also as close to stock as you can get. But I'm pretty sure that's also the one that you mean that has the dead link. But a member may have mirrored it to another website.
If you need a ROM that's similar to WildPuzzle, look at Rempuzzle. It's the continuation of that, but constantly developed.

It's too easy..
1. Go to the link I provided above.
2. Download cwm from 2nd post
3. Follow the instruction in there to enter into cwm recovery
4. In cwm recovery select backup & restore
5. Select backup
6. it'll start backup process ...
7. After backup completes... Reboot phone... open sdcard
8. There'll be a folder named clockworkmod
9. compress it to rar 7z or zip....then upload to mediafire and give us link.

Hi guys! I got my One x Yesterday and now Im ready for rooting
I readed around our forum and found 3 interesting thread.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1592355
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604439
the last one its an all in one toolkit to root our HOX.
which's the best for you?
Also: which rom do you recommend (I like the stock features and look with some tweaks)
thank you guys! And keep up the good work to all devs!
use this thread. that is the one i used and very straight forward mate.
and use ARHD if you want close to stock with few tweaks. But still if you want a rom that is stock but with loads of tweaks and has the unique tweaks and always one step ahead of the competition use Team PKMN rom... for me that is the best rom at the moment and basically has mods and tweaks that no other rom has and support is brilliant and well the themers of that rom actually know how to theme and not think to much of themeselves
Rom that i am talking about and suggest:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1625816

in the rom thread you wrote i read the HOx must be s-off or htc-dev unlock...correct if Im wrong: with s-on we cant flash boot directly right? so how I can s-off my HOX?
At the present there is no way to s-off a HTC one x. You don't need s-off to install a custom Tom or kernal however. Just follow the instructions in the help thread and you should be fine.
