I upgraded my Inc2 to Android 4.0 and I wanted to know the best radio to flash for service. I don't know much about radios, do they work on any OS?

I have searched but cant find the answer I am looking for so I figured I would try. Sorry if you have heard it before. I want to know if when using a custom rom can you just flash a newer radio or WiMax to it or not?
Im currently running:
Radio 2.15.00.11.19
Kernel 2.6.35.10
PRI 1.90_003
I dont really understand what the PRI and the radio actually does so if anyone wants to point a noob in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. I just see that there are newer updates and wondered if they were better 1, and 2 if i can use them with this awesome ROM I have been using. Thanks for any help!
Radio/pri are separate from roms, so you can flash them no matter what rom you are on. Check under About Phone to see what radio you are running, if its old, flash the new ones.
Is there one that is the best for each or is it the newer the better? Thanks.

I was just wanting to know, since I'm still on the old Asia WWE 1.28.707.10 if I use one of the newer 1.29.xxx.11 built roms will I benefit from the features of 1.29.xxx.xx upgrade, like I would on an OTA. So basically what I'm asking will it be almost like I did an upgrade to my phone will my storage and other issues be fixed with a newer rom?
Hopefully you will understand what I'm trying to get at, because I tired of waiting on this upgrade.

afaik you cant flash rom for other region.
Sorry for the misunderstanding what I was getting at was if I flash a custom rom will I see the benifits of the software upgrades that I have not received yet. Im ULOCKED AND ROOTED right now. If I was to use say leedroid or revolution would I see the benefits of the 1.29.40x.xx upgrade since the rom is based onn that base. Hopefully that was easier to understand. I want the benifits of the newer software because I'm still on 1.28.707.10 WWE Asia and its outdated I lost 10GB and haven't used that much. So will the custom Roms fix the problems I have now or do I have to wait untill I'm on 1.29.707.xx before I will see the benifits?

Yes you will. As the firmware on the Rom are latest . I am on arhd 6 and it is awesome.

now i have CM10 VJ Jelly Bean 4.1.2 but i have in the past and on this room sometimes broken G3 Connections.

But on the other hand you don't need stable but newest rom. My two year old ****ty specwise phone with archaic android 2.3.3 doesn't seem to have any issues at all.

Hello im wondering if its possible to put the regular vanilla version of kit kat on my epic 4g touch? I couldnt find the rom if it is possible. Does it run smooth and are all the phones features available? Thanks alot. Can someone point the way?
It is possible but, there is no Vanilla KitKat ROM for our device at this current time. Closest to Vanilla KitKat is CM11.

Hi XDA Members,
I have an average understanding of rooted android devices and roms. I currently have a Tmobile Galaxy Note II (T0ltetmo)(T889) that is rooted. It has TWRP on it. I am running currently pacman rom (pac_t0ltetmo-4.3-20140128.zip) which works fine.
Here is the problem.... I am trying to upgrade to a Pacman Rom that is based on Android 4.4 which I have found. I installed the Pacman rom 4.4 & GAPPS stock 4.4 which works flawlessly, the only problem is..... My Radio doesn't work! I have my GSM Sim in and nothing comes up! Heres the thing aswell... I installed other roms that are based on 4.4 and the radio's doesn't work on any of those ROMs either, as soon as restore my other backups that are 4.3 the radio works.
What could be the problem? Is there something I am forgetting to do that the developers didn't tell me? Do I need to install something else that wasn't specified?
Please help!
Flash the newest kernel and modem if you haven't already. I noticed much the same when just testing 4.4 from a 4.1 rom.
