[Q] Noob question about flashing vanilla kit kat. - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Hello im wondering if its possible to put the regular vanilla version of kit kat on my epic 4g touch? I couldnt find the rom if it is possible. Does it run smooth and are all the phones features available? Thanks alot. Can someone point the way?

It is possible but, there is no Vanilla KitKat ROM for our device at this current time. Closest to Vanilla KitKat is CM11.

[Q] Want to flash CyanogenMod

Hey member, wanna' flash CyanogenMod on the phone, which is on stock 4.1.2. rooted with CWM recov'
There is lot's(and lots) of info' here on this already, though can't find the links as yet..
If any member/s could leave the links need for CyanogenMod download, and all other links, looks like i need to flash google apps too.. Or perhaps any other recommendations for good custom ROMS?
Also, is the 2 sim function working now on the ROM? Ideally it would be good to be back on .41.2 rather than kit kat,. Unless you think kit kat is better than 4.1.2 now?
Thanks for any help.
Alex
Upgrade to 4.2.2 first

[Q] Looking for Stock Rooted 4.2.2 ROM for VZW

I just got a SCH I515 for my mother and it's currently running Cyanogenmod 10.2. This is going to be her first smartphone, but she's familiar with the stock ROM on my Note 2. So, I was looking for a stock rooted 4.2.2 ROM. I've tried searching for a stock rooted ROM without any luck. I really don't need a rooted ROM for her, but I'd really like to run Rom Toolbox and Titanium Backup.
So, does anyone have a link to a stock rooted ROM? If there's one that has all the bloatware removed like the Sophisticated ROM I ran on my Note 2 that'd be ideal.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated as I have no experience with the i515.
As far as I know there are no TouchWiz ROMs for the i535 at version 4.2.2 because it never official got the update (straight from 4.1.2 to 4.3.0). Are you looking specifically for TouchWiz ROMs or are AOSP acceptable too?

I'd prefer a TouchWiz ROM as my mom is somewhat familiar with that. I'm really just looking for a debloated stock ROM.

I know many people on Google+ that swear by this ROM. It's called Shiny ROM. Here's a link to the page on Rootzwiki: http://rootzwiki.com/topic/36706-romaosp3914-shiny-rom-ota-like-stock-android-442-kvt49l/
Read all about it over there. Hope to have helped a bit.

That looks like a good ROM. Is there a way I can use the Samsung TouchWiz keyboard on an AOSP ROM? I personally hated the kb in every AOSP ROM I tried on my Note 2.

[Q] Need advice RE: KitKat ROM for Galaxy Ace 2 GT-i8160

Sorry if this has been asked many times in the past, but I cannot find anyone asking recently...
My girlfriend has the official jellybean 4.1.2 installed on her UK Ace 2 GT-i8160, but it often freezes up or lags when doing simple tasks... she was thinking of getting me to downgrade it back to gingerbread, but I wondered if getting one of the kitkat roms would be better?
The requirements are simple.... the most stable and reliable kitkat rom for a UK Ace 2 GT-i8160.
I've been reading and searching the forums for the last couple hours... but I just keep getting more and more confused.
Can anyone help?
EDIT/UPDATE:
CM11 looks like it's the most worked on mod, but I'm confused as to why there are so many 'stable' and 'fully working' releases, when the next update lists a few fixes... so it obviously wasn't 'fully working'? :S
Is the last version of 4.4.3 more stable than the latest 4.4.4? or perhaps a lower version than that?
Or perhaps CM10.2 would be better? - as I stated above, I just want the phone to be as stable and reliable as possible... the official jellybean rom is a joke, and gingerbread wasn't much better.
No replies, but ok...
I've spent about 10 hours reading threads about different roms, but it would have been nice if someone could have pointed me in the right direction to save some of that time. If anyone else is wanting the most stable custom ROM for their Ace 2, go for 4.3.1 TeamCanjica CyanogenMod 10.2.
I've just installed it and it works like a dream so far... like getting a brand new phone
Doesn't even need to be rooted, very simple to install through the standard recovery menu.

thanks, will try out as i also faced the same issues after upgraded to jellybean.:good:
Most stable KitKat ROM for Ace 2 is AOSP ROM. No Custom ROM can beat its stability....

[Q] AT&T Kit Kat on T889

I read somewhere that i can flash AT&T Note II Kit Kat ROM to my T889. Is this possible? I would love to have a stock Kit Kat ROM. Firstly I know the modem will probably need to be flashed...big whoop. But the kernel will be different right? Im a bit new to how the firmwares are designed. I am comfortable flashing different versions. I currently have JediMaster X2 i believe, EZKat which isnt great but not bad, and I have the stock rom from Tmobile 4.3 which is rooted but the root wont stay after a reboot sometimes, have to fix root to get it back but that doesnt always work.
Give this a try:
