Im using mike's ARHD 4.0 beta 4 for weeks now and it always worked perfect!
But since the last week or 2 weeks i'm having some issues...
like:
GPS can't find satallites or it takes a long time to finally find one.
When i open the market then it doesn't fully load the market and i get an error message like network connectivity failure.
it connects with 3g instead of H
I don't know what to do!, Full Whipe and reinstalling the rom didn't help...
could it be the Radio? im living in the Netherlands ( Holland ) and i use this radio:
26.03.02.26_M
don't seem to have these problems when i use 3.6 :S:S:S:S
But i want GINGERBREAD!!!!

Are you using the correct RIL for that radio rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040986)
You could try RCMix HD 5.9.7, it has 2.3.3 and sense 2.1, or CoreDroid HD GB v5.4, both of them are really good gingerbread roms.

Try SkyRaider Zeus 1.3 Inc2. It has a mix of Sense 2.1 and 3.0 features. I have been running it for a couple of weeks with no issues. You will have to go to their forum to download it. Google teambamf..

Rom with no Bugs
rmk sense r1 is a rooted original firmware ( No Bugs at all ) ,
also it is debloated from all unnecessary bloatware and verizon stuff also as i remember ,
there is a patch includes all removed software if you need it back to the rom .
Also it can be patched with sense 3 patch . this is your best choice if you don't want to follow developers fixing bugs and patches every day
gingerbread 3.3.5 and 3.5
i assume 3.5 you mean Sense 3.5
there is one Rom only Sense 3.5 with GSM support and it has Bugs ( empty strings ) , and the developer move to a new Base , means that Rom's bug will not be fixed

I have not tested it personally, but GSM should work on CyanogenMod.
I have personally tested GSM in CM7 7.1.0.1 and it does work just fine

Yes, I assume you should be fine to flash CM7 in Europe and have everything work fine. I am in the US on T-Mobile and it works.

Also you may not be able to access ##Phone codes EPST and such.
So if you need to manually enter some data provisioning settings you might want to keep a stock based ROM somewhere on your SD card like one of the others mentioned.
There is nothing like stepping off the plane and having to call the carrier only to hear "OK, lets dial ##778# + send" and with no data, access you have to run to an inet cafe or find a WiFi signal to download a ROM with that capability.

Sorry to bump this post but I have just bought a SIM free DHD but its got an annoying T Mobile splash screen. I have heard of flashing ROMs but what's a Radio. There a sticky on flashing ROMs nd Radios? And would putting in a new ROM make my phone a good old HTC. Can I get a ROM with Gingerbread.

All custom roms will have a bug or two. There is no prefect rom and there never will be. IF you want a rom that just works stay stock. This is not a rom site it is a development site. Which means we like bugs cause then we can learn to fix them on our own.
Hello Guys, sorry for my silly question... i had purchased a Desire HD from a friend, and it is already rooted.. so i dont have any idea on how to Update my Radio.. i know how to flash ROMs through recovery(4ext),,, my Question is Flashing this Latest Radio 12.69.60.29_26.17.14.11_M is like Flashing a ROM?.. im now using Sabsa Prime V5.0 | 4.0.3 | Sense 4........thank you very much!
PS: How About the RIL? it is necessary to have that cause i've read that RIL doesn't need for ICS/JB even with or without Sense because it is already there..
and how about something happened not good? how do i get back to my old Radio (just like having Backup in ROMs)

From what I understand after reading here and there, u don't need RIL for ICS as it is meant for Froyo or GB rom.
If by chance u changed the RIL, u need to wipe dalvik n cache then restart. If not possible then it's re-install with full wipe

I think it also depends on which country we are at. Different country have different bandwidths. Like western hemisphere and asian countries are different bandwidths. I'm from Malaysia and would like to know which would seem better for here. Am currently using 12.65.60.29_26.14.04.28M. But these 2 weeks will not have my phone due to sent for warranty for dead pixels.

and with a lot of courage, i have Rooted my brand new HOX
now.. i really like to know -
1 - which stock like Rom do you experts suggest for my model ( shouldnt be much different from stock, but faster, with mods & without bloatware & Latest)
2 - should i also flash my radio? How? which one?
Any other mods that you suggest for better battery management, faster.
please .. i know that similar questns are asked, but this is more specific.

I would recommend the viperX Rom to you from team venom. It's great. Probably the best Rom in the way of tweaks. Download that then do the OTA updates. I also like to recommend the bricked kernel as it has a swipe to wake option and with vipers tweaks you can easily overclock and change frequencies the best ics in my opinion

I would agree.. ViperX rom is one of the best sense based ROMs out there. There is loads of customisation options.
Also another great ROM would be AndroidRevolution HD.

This is the international forum, flash only stuff from here, there is a AT&T rogers HTC one xl forum that's the dualcore...

Give a try to latest insertcoin rom (13).
Furthermore if u want:
In a fileexplorer (es explorer or solid explorer) go to root folder -system-apps and delete unneeded apps with caution (u need to know what u are doing). If u want i can create a minimized version of it 4 u and upload it... (whithout medialink, htc location, video editor, stock wallpapers, without live wallpapers and all that crap - at least i like it without them). Then u'll get a perfectly sleak rom.

your phone is branded and you can't install JB Sense roms
ok.. so which other roms can i install?? since i am rooted, will i get the OTA updates for JB??

when you carrier will release the JB update then you will be able to flash JB roms, at the moment you can only install ICS roms
