Samsung Flip Cover for i9300 for US versions? - Galaxy S III Accessories

Does anybody know if this http://www.amazon.com/Flip-Cover-EFC-1G6FBE-i9300-Galaxy/dp/B0080CXR8M/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1340992934&sr=1-2&keywords=galaxy+s3+flip+cover would work for US phones? I hate screen "protectors" and casings in general, but this looks quite reasonable...

The phones are identical on the outside.

Thanks, that's all I needed to know. The price is twice better than the official "US version" flip cover from Samsung http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EFC-1G6FBEGSTA

Stylus fell out. Twice.

I have now lost both of the stylus(es) that came with the phone. I suppose they come out when I pull the phone out of my case. Anyone else have this problem? I got a universal pouch and the phone was in there pretty snug. Enough so that it would not come out easily.
Now I have no stylus and am afraid to replace it for fear of it happening again. Is this common or am I doing something wrong??
What version of TP2 do you have?
I heard something similar regarding the american versions, as they do not have the magnetic stuff as the original Europe version.

I tooked the info from here:

It's looking to be quite the pain tracking down any quality T-Mobile TP2 accessories and OEM stuff since our version is unique compared to all the others. Things like the stylus, screen protectors, cradles, cases, etc. all need to be designed slightly differently for us and it seems like manufacturers are not very eager to do so at the moment. Hopefully the launching of Sprint and ATT TP2s will spur them on.
Sorry this doesn't answer your question, but know that I share your frustration!
I have no idea why they got rid of the magnetic stylus, which I thought was a fantastic feature. But I do have a trick for keeping them in, I used it on my mogul. Just bend the stylus a bit, it still feels straight in the hand, but it will say in much much better.

Thanks. I got my screen protector (best I have seen yet, guaranteed for life) from "www.clearprotector.com" and its not a regular plastic one. They have to be soaked in water & soap b4 they get put on if this helps at all and the cover I got from here> "http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150365816665&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT" its a little pricey but IMHO its worth it...Tj
My stylus (neither one) was magnetic. One poster says to bend it??? Does it still go in?? I dont quite follow.
Does anyone else have the smae problem I do ? Losing the stylus when pulling out from the case? Any other ideas to keep it in better? Thanks.

If you bend it just a very slight amount, it still goes in fine and even looks straight, it just fits tighter in its cavity. Just put the stylus between your thumbs and push a very slight amount. Then put it back in the phone and see if its more difficult to pull out. If not, pull it back out and push a little harder with your thumbs. Lather, rinse, repeat until satisfied with the fit.

Unless it pulls itself into place when you're close to inserting it, it's not magnetic.. Just friction.

Replacement battery covers

So I wonder if companies might start producing replacement battery covers for the Vibrant and Galaxy S? It seems that since the Vibrant is exactly the same size as the international Galaxy S they would be compatible if they existed. Given a major complaint about the phone is the cheap plastic feeling you'd think there would be a nice market for more premium battery covers. Sure one could just put on a case but for those who like their phone as slim as possible this might be a good option. Hopefully if enough people agree here some company will see there is demand and produce them.
check the link to the samsung accessories page in a thread a few posts down - samsung offers them for quite a few of the earlier high end models, including ones for extended life 2400 mAh batteries, so there's no reason they won't for the Vibrant or i9000

Skyrocket cases?

Are cases and batteries interchangeable between the Hercules and Skyrocket? The phone looks exactly the same
Does anyone have both to compare? If they're physically the same then the cases will fit both.
they are identical phones, except for the radio which is LTE

This is incorrect. The rear speaker is on the opposite side of ours. So the cases may fit but the speaker will be muffled due to being blocked.
meh that's just a minal thing, easily rectifiable with a exacto knife

this is the biggest advantage of owning an iphone. It doesn't matter which carrier you use accessories will work on any of them. the skyrocket is the same exact phone (ignoring LTE) except the placement of the speaker? that is just stupid. I hope htc and samsung learn that companies will be more likely to give their products a better selection of accessories when their products reach more people. Samsung has 5 different galaxy sIIs. Thats crazy.
Probably the only advantage LOL

I'm wondering if this would work too ... the SGP Neo Hybrid cases look pretty sweet. Even if the speaker is on the other side it would work well.
I wonder if they are going to make a T-Mobile/Telus version of the case??
EDIT: After checking it out, the headphone and second mic hole on the top are on the opposite sides as well ... so that sucks. I really hope they make another version.
Was thinking the same thing noticing that since it's on AT&T, they will be getting an Otterbox. Looking forward to the Seidio Active case and holster, though.

They are shaped slightly different, battery doors are completely different, speaker is on the other side. Your a mod bro, come on! (its a playful tone. I know you can't hear me but I'm just joshin you). But seriously, the cases wont work, the skyrocket is *slightly* thicker too. Look at go to "Samsung phones" and look at the dimensions (not to mention pics), its .1mm thicker. If you look at the pics side by side (I am as I type) the t989 is much more rounded where the skyrocket is more squared off like the i9100.

actually you are right http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=4303&idPhone2=4129
didn't really pay much attention to the outside case, as i was minding more the innars of the device

Unless you upgrade from an iPhone 4 to an iPhone 4S. The buttons are off just enough that you have to buy all new cases. haha

What I meant is that a iPhone 4S on sprint is the same as att or Verizon. 3 carriers one phone design is something case manufacturers have to love.

That might be true, but they're all still 3g devices. The iPhone is still playing catch up.

Official Samsung battery door replacement

Does anyone know if there is any way to get a replacement battery door for our GS3? Has Samsung sold these for the GS2 in the past?
I'd really like to get one, but so far I've only seen aftermarket replacements..
Seem um on sale in CPWH stores already.

Is there any way for me to purchase it from them overseas to the US? From their website it seems like they only deliver to the EU..

Here is one I came across whilst looking for cheap fake ones. I want some so that I can paint them
Here is the link(split because I am a noob poster )

Stu.
I wonder if there are any that have the same texture as the SGS2? Because I really loved the ribbed non glossy texture of the SGS2 and the SGS3's texture is a little too much of a oil magnet for me.
The full back replacement seems like an ideal customisation opportunity - any custom screen printed backs available?
Are you sure they have them in stores? Where? Do they have them online as well?
I've had no luck in finding one also, I would like to get the SKinobi's Silver Carbon kit & put one on it.

Can anyone provide feedback on the Orange Samsung Flip Cover?

Hi every one,
First of all, thanks to all of you for your posts on this forum over the past couple of months. I'm new to Android and I've recently purchased a Galaxy Note after owning a number of iPhone's, and this place has been an absolute lifeline for information and helping me to get to grips with anything.
My question is, I know the official Samsung flip covers have taken a lot of flak for not lasting very long, however I've read that the flip cover in orange, which apparently is the latest version, has been made slightly differently to the others and could be a little more durable?
I'm just wondering if anyone owns this case, the longer the better, and could provide some feedback?
Many thanks.
I have the brown color flip cover. I only used it for 2 days. The quality is very nice, but I just don't like how it leaves the sides unprotected.
