Hi I have edited on your phone ROM and would like it to return everything to its original condition original ROM. pls help me

Read through THIS, lower half of first post is more relevant to you

Edit: Of course you will need to have the relevant RUU for your phone (unbranded is x.xx.401.x, branded is x.xx.PHONE_PROVIDERS_ID_NUMBER.x), which should be able to be found in THIS thread.
Flashing steps are:
1. boot into fastboot and connect to PC
2. flash stock recovery
3. relock bootloader: fastboot oem lock
4. run RUU from PC, phone will need to be in fastboot

Hi,
I've been following this guide :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551581
to flash this rom :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1562603
However, I'm stuck at :
1. Check your CID using fastboot getvar cid and MID using fastboot getvar mid
I've already unlocked my bootloader via htcdev.com and I didn't see my CID.
So I decided to take a risk and continue on, 3. Place PJ46IMG.zip on your SD card.
I did and rebooted and no instructions popped out. Its just the normal bootloader.
So what am I doing wrong exactly ?
EDIT: Can someone also tell me the proper process to installing a custom rom ?
For example do I need to install a specific firmware first, unlock bootloader, install cwm, root or wipe ?

Hi I want to restore back to three uk firmware run my bootloader has been unlocked from htc dev unlock and I have a custom rom with touch recovery I have downloaded the stock uk three firmware run but not sure what to do next would appreciate some instructions.
1. Restore backup you made before flashing the custom ROM
2. Manually flash the stock boot.img
3. Manually flash the stock recovery
4. Relock bootloader (optional)
did not make backup so is there a plan b?
are you going back to stock to send phone off for repair?
If you are then run a backup of your current ROM from recovery first and copy SD to your PC for safe keeping.
1. Boot into fastboot
2. Flash stock recovery, found here (if you were on 1.26 before flashing custom rom then flash the 1.26 recovery, and 1.28 > 1.28): http://www.androidrevolution.nl/ARHD/index.php?dir=OneX/Recovery/
3. Relock bootloader: fastboot oem lock
4. Run RUU (phone needs to be in fastboot, and correct drivers installed onto PC for RUU to detect phone).
Edit: If you were on 1.28 before custom flashing then make sure you have the 1.28 RUU
Info found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609190
thats the thing i dont know what it was on 128 or 126 i tried to flash the 126 ruu and it failed so i presume its going to be the 128 ruu file so does it mean i have to flash the 128 stock recovery aswell or does it not matter.
If the 3 UK 1.28 RUU is available then you just flash that as the recovery comes with it. Remember you HAVE to relock the bootloader to run an RUU
Well i ran the 126 ruu and it failed it said something like get the correct bootloader after i did all the steps flashed stock recovery and relocked bootloader.

Have a look at your hboot version, if it is 43 then you probably have the 1.26 stock, if it is 94 then it should be the 1.28. I have the 1.28 3 RUU here, will see if I can find the download link for you.
Edit: Here is the post to the download link
my hboot reads 0.94.0000 so downloading 128 ruu thanks for the link so what stock recovery do i flash 26 or 28? i dont know what i had before.

you will need to flash the 1.28 recovery. unlock your bootloader first, then flash recovery, then relock again. you can use the same unlock.bin file that you got off HTCDEV to unlock the bootloader.
yep i already unlocked the bootloader just waiting for the download to finish and will post my results soon thanks for the help.
Thank you i can confirm this worked 100%
You're welcome
Hi All,
I have a Dutch T-Mobile HTC One M8 (Gunmetal Gray)
I unlocked bootloader via HTCDEV

I made a backup from my original rom (via TWRP)
Now i have some warranty issues, so i want to go back to stock (so total stock, no root, no unlocked bootloader, and original rom back)

Since you made a backup your stock ROM this shouldn't be too difficult. Sadly though unless you obtain S-OFF as far as I know you will not be able to achieve LOCKED again only RELOCKED. This shouldn't be a problem with your warranty but you may want to check.
If you enter TWRP and restore from your backup you will be back to stock and about relocking the bootloader it's simply the command:
After your restore your backup ensure fastboot is desabled in settings and USB debugging is still enabled and then reboot into FASTBOOT.
In fastboot use the command:
fastboot oem lock
That should be it as far as I know. Still take my advice with caution considering I am new to this as well but I am pretty sure considering your backup it's very simple task.
Good luck with returning your phone!
When Lollipop came out, I converted to GPE using graffixnyc RUU & guide. Now I want to go back to stock, but receive OTAs (I know I need to have stock recovery) and keep root and s-off. Is this possible at all and if so could somebody point me to a thread where it's explained?
I read this thread but it's for flashing a non-stock ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733523
Can I do it with the RUU posted by HTC for T-Mobile from this thread?:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2714456
I'm worried as I read "partition sizes are different and you could brick your phone" but I'm not sure if it applies to RUUs as well! I really tried doing it on my own
So, to anyone with similar question.
1) Relock bootloader (adb reboot bootloader; fastboot oem lock)
2) Change back your CID and MID values to your original ones
3) Follow this article to flash recovery and wipe everything, if you are using the RUU to go back to stock, you don't need MicroSD card at all. Few notes - when you get to a red triangle, don't panic. Click Vol Up + Power to factory reset. Then Vol Down + Power Button to get into bootloader, where you need to go to fastboot and directly execute the RUU. If you don't need to go S-ON and have "LOCKED" instead of "RELOCKED" bootloader state, you don't need TWRP.

4) RUU can be obtained here:

That's it. Now I'm wondering if I can install a stock sense ruu of different version (eg WWE) that will work with my 32 GB device and won't have T-Mobile bloatware.
Hi. I'm now on unlocked htc 10 with s-on. How can I back to clean, stock, oryginal condition? I tried to flash stock via ruu.exe and adb but it is failed. Relocking bootloader nothing helped. I tried some things but i got lost in this many theards. I will be very grateful if somebody help me and show me instructions. Actually i'm on m firmware.
boot into fastboot & paste the command below
copy the results & post here (remove imei from the post)
PHP:
fastboot getvar all
As you mentioned flashing the leaked nougat ruu ill assume you're on 401.x FW with the lastest ruu being 1.90.401.5
1. install twrp, restored untouched system & boot image, flash stock recovery
2. s-off downgrade to 1.90.401.5 , relock bootloader & run ruu
i see you edited your post
1. Rename zip to 2PS6IMG.zip
2. Copy zip onto sd card
3. Boot into download mode (download mode should detect the 2PS6IMG.zip)
4. Press volup to flash
Also flashing this will wipe your data , and it may render your phone *impossible* to receive future ota updates as it's an unofficial release from htc.
For example: lets say htc released a new nougat ota which updates you phone to 2.3x.401.x , that ota may only update phones on FW 1.95.401.4 & not 2.28.401.9
You would still be able to flash a 2.3x.401.x or above ruu (if available) or you could s-off & downgrade to 1.95.401.4 then accept ota
Personally i wouldn't flash it as yet as the official OTA is only around the corner (HTC said Q4)
@Diz so the 2.28.x is for unofficial/developers? Can I do it on unlocked bootloader?
Ps. i want to do it without s-off
