[Q] No signal recived. - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone
Recently my phone started not to be 'able' to recive signal anywhere, however it can still run the data connection, and GPS.
I have no idea what the problem is, i have removed all apps, restored to backup that worked previpusly and even restored my ROM completely. No luck it still says limited signal and just allows data. I am running miui 2.4.3
What can i try to fix it?
Thanks,
T.

Do you have a pin code on your SIM card? In that case did you enter it when you started the phone?

Make sure that the back cover is on...also if it is on try wiping the antenna (that is there with alcohol)

@Muikkuman No Pin code.
@Glevitan No no luck there either
A t-mobile simcard 'works' as in signal is accepted as received but still no calls or texts or data is usable. Also all calls are forwarded, un changeably on a T-MO card.

Ummm...check that APN's are set ok. That might explain the lack of data connectivity...

I had the same problem as you do. You have 2 possibilities: go to network settings and activate only 2G or you can activate both 2G and 3G activated but you need to activate and data. for me worked, and I hope will work and for you

problem with APN app or my phone or data packet service

hi all,
I'm using APN on/off by i think curious fish or something.
Sometimes when I switch it off and after a long while switch it back on again, I find myself unable to send nor receive any data even though the G icon is up. I had to restart my phone again in order to use data.
Does 3G service require like a dial-up? or why is this happening?
Same happen to me.
I think it happen when u activate the wifi and APN

[Q] AT&T 3G Data not working, can't repair connections

Been having an issue with my unlocked One X lately. Just this morning, my AT&T 3G data completely conked out and will not come back online. I can make phone calls and send texts, but MMS and data are broken. I've tried manually changing the APN settings, but nothing works. Any possible fixes someone knows that actually work?

Have you hit the soft cap on your data plan? If you've been throttled it might feel like you have no data. Are you in a non-HSPA+ market? If so, AT&T's continuing to upgrade the backhaul of their HSPA network so it might have nothing to do with your phone. Their working in my market and I lost data about a week ago. If you have another phone handy see if the SIM works in it. If it doesn't work there it's either your account, the SIM itself, or something to do with the network.

[Q] ace 2 network problems

Hello
I've just bought a new galaxy ace 2 and I am experiencing some problems.
When I'm using only gsm network type (i think, now I'm testing HDSPA), typically, when I'm logged on icq, mobile sometimes loosses signal and displays there is no service. After few seconds is everything OK and network is back at full singal. This can be seen also in battery usage view, when I'm having always yellow line with thin red places.
I'm now using it with mixed mode on HDSPA and there are no problems with network.
The phone is under warranty, so there is no problem, but I dont have much time and first I would try other solution. I tried to flash it with odin to same fw, but no change. I tried to google it but I didnt find any solution. Could you give me advice?
Thanks for answers

Well the "train" issue is due to the train being like a faraday cage, blocking the various microwave signals, the reason you get a signal on a train is because they have amplifiers to retransmit the signal into the train and vice versa.
...what network?
I have problem with mobile data. Apn: ERONET START (gprs.eronet.ba) i can acess with other phone on my sim card. Problem is in my phone but i dont know how to solve it. I can send messages and call but no any sign of data

Not connected to Mobile Network after being on Wifi?

This has been a frustrating issue I've been having pretty much since starting up my T-mobile service about a month ago.
To start off, my G3 is unrooted and on the latest stock software version, 20e.
I use Wifi calling often because I get 0-1 bars of reception at work. All seems to work well until I go outside and try to make a phonecall over the voice network. I'll have plenty of signal bars, be connected to 4G even, yet when I try to use the phone dialer to make a call it will say "Not connected to Mobile Network." or something along those lines.
I haven't done extensive testing, but I believe the other day I toggled the "Mobile Data" off then back on and was able to make calls.
Has anyone else had this trouble? Is it something possibly to do with Wifi and/or Wifi calling?
I believe I could make a phonecall using Hangouts when I was off of wifi, which tells me that the data part is working, but not the voice network.
I contacted T-mobile support, but they just had me do the "typical" things, like shut down the phone, remove the battery/SIM, start everything back up. And sure enough, it worked after that, but I'd rather not have to restart my phone or toggle stuff to get it to work as it should without any hassle.
Thanks!
My wife has the same problem after the 20E update. Her mobile is stock as well. It did not happen on 20B.

Off the top of my head no. I'll dig around a bit and see what if anything I come up with.,
From the digging I did I can't seem to find any help. The only thing I can think of is to factory reset it thing and see if it helps. I am going to do do it on my wifes phone tonight.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking too... I'm not really in the mood to deal with restoring all of my apps and whatnot, so I'll hold off on the factory reset for now.
If you remember, could you let me know the results? If I know for fair certainty that a wipe will fix the issue, I might do it.
Thanks!
It's a network problem and it is worst on Samsung phones. I recently went and got a new sim card and it seems to have fixed it. I read it is because if you live in a area where there is poor coverage it causes your sim to where out fast.

This started happening before my first month of T-mobile service was even up with a brand new SIM. I'm not saying that it's definitely not a SIM issue, just would seem unlikely that it's worn out that fast.
Mobile out of Network-Tmobile - Android
I;m having the same issue, turned phone off and on, checked Network connections everything looks fine, but now able to receive and send texts or make calls.

Phone data works on 2g mode only.

Hello, overnight my phone has stopped connecting to LTE. I've done many resets, did an ODIN back to stock, and tried different SIM cards. The only way I can get data to work is to go into setting and enable 2g. Any other settings show 4G in the status bar, but no data comes through. I can make calls, but can't receive any, if i'm on anything other than 2g. I'm on the latest COJ5 and am completely out of ideas. If anyone could help, it would be a huge lifesaver. Thanks. Both SIM cards work perfectly in other phones.
Hi I have exactly the same issue
Any luck finding solution
?
I haven't found anything that works yet. I tried factory resets, odin, and went into the dialer mode and manually tried to activate different bands. No luck yet

Did you guys make sure your APNs are properly set up?
Yes, I deleted and redid the APNs a couple of times. Have no idea what else I can do to fix it.
