I have a problem with my Xperia Play. When I connect to MSC mode and try to copy something from the card to the PC or vice-versa, after a while the phone disconnects itself(But it keeps charging) and I have to reconnect it. The main problem is that it disconnects right in the middle of the copying process.
Also I want to flash a custom ROM and I'm afraid that it could disconnect while flashing. Any advices to fix this?

the problem is that i can,t connect my rhodium210 to pc my can,t detect it my pc has all drivers installed because it detects my sister phone very easily my sister also has rhodium210 actually when i try to connect it with my pc it only charges nothing happens in phone it can,t ask me for which usb mode you want so thats why my pc can,t
detect it but it detects my sister's phone very easily i also try to flash stock rom from sd card hard reset my phone many times i installed many android on my rhod210 thats why the prob starts i also try to connect my phone in bootloader mode but it shows only serial not usb but the cable is connected i think that it is a hardware issue i think i damaged my rhod210 hardwares by flashing it continously can some one give me a good sol ...........

I have an Xperia Arc with PolygonKK 1.4 custom ROM.
I had a problem similar to what has been reported many times of Xperia S where the phone becomes soft brick if the battery was completely drained, and the phone was not starting or allowing me to recharge the battery. This problem was fixed by charging the battery outside the phone and then plugging it in and starting the phone.
The problem now is that neither my phone or my PC can detect that they are connected via a data cable.
I checked the cable with another phone, it works fine, and I am using the same PC that I have always used to handle my phone (on windows and linux).
When I try to access fastboot mode I see the blue LED but the PC detects nothing
Flash tool does not detect any mode connected (fastboot, ADB, Flash)
I tried cleaning the USB port with no result.
I think now that the port is damaged, but I still have a little hope that this is a software issue, is there a way to know what has happened to the phone?
my note 8.0 gets connected without any problem once i plug it to the pc..bt just after some 4 seconds or so it disconnects itself and i cant transfer or even view any folders in my sd card or phone memory.....its really pissing me off..
i have selected the mtp medeia device bt still tha same problem guyz help its pissing me soo much
What firmware on the tablet are you running?
What OS is your PC running?
Set advanced power settings in USB disabled.
Try another USB connection.
Reinstall USB drivers.
Try another USB data cable.

I'm quite new to rooting and playing around with roms and kernels. Usually whenever I install a rom on my phone I usually download it on my computer then transfer the zip file into my phone via usb. I noticed a new rom had been released for the P8000 (nexus) and i wanted to try it out so I downloaded it on my pc but I was not able to transfer onto my phone. I got an error message on my pc saying 'could not transfer file, device may have been unplugged or is not responding'. The device certainly was not unplugged as the phone was still charging and I was able to continue browsing through my phone's files.
Have not connected a phone to a pc in ages.. Use droid over wifi!
dunno why that should be but why not just d/l directly with your phone? that's what I tend to do as it's faster than wifi transfer and my pc drivers don't seem to work with my p8000 either so can't connect to pc.
try to enable usb debugging (or disable). i had this some times ago with a samsung phone. connection option als camera could help maybe too.

My phone was showing bootloop issues and after refering to several solutions on internet I flash the custom rom using SPFT. The steps are completed correctly but I forgot to put my ohone on boot mode while flashing. Bow my phone is not starting and charging and evn it is not detected by PC. Please help how to detect the phone by PC USB so that I can try other steps to resolve the issue.
