hi all just changed the digitizer on a wildfire s (done over 10) and when i power phone on i get no display vibrates little red light on top then i let it boot up the buttons light up .. tried another lcd still same
Send it to HTC.......they'll replace that ****..........just make sure your phone is not BL unloked and/or rooted
phone has been opened ?
well that voids your warranty..... guess you have the option to buy a new phone or try sending it to someone you trust that can fix up your phone

My desire had Remix HD rom flashed on it. One day suddenly it shuts off and wont get past the HTC screen. I flash it again with complete wipe and it works fine again. the a few days later the same thing happened
then I flashed it with a stock RUU and it got updated to hboot .93
Now after somedays same thing happens but this time it won't even boot and no response to charging or anything.
Gave to the service center they said if they change a part it makes it boot but it won't go past the HTC screen and as its not from India (its an orange branded desire) so we can't help sorry. If i get the part changed its no guarantee that i can make it work again and it cost 8500 INR .
Now i get back home connect it to my laptop and it responds to the charging! the light turns on but the screen is still blank. i turn it on and it vibrates but screen is blank tried back+power still black screen
Now is there anyway i can recover the device? is it possible that they (the HTC service center people) forgot to connect the lcd back or something?
Send it back?
My phone is bricked after I flashed the wrong radio , and now the phone won`t start and charge , even connect to the usb . I have tried every combination of the buttons , at first it has some responds , but now it`s totally a brick . It won`t be able for me to send it to the htc repair center .
And I know that some other bricked phones can be repaired by jtag . I searched for days on line but just could`t find any information about it . How can I repair my phone or when can I repair my phone using jtag ? HELP,please!

Why can't you send it in. The Supportwont get you phone to boot either. So they replace the main platine on warranty.
I don`t have a warranty here , so I just can wait for the jtag repair.
As far as I know, we do not know the location of the jtag contact points.
What I do know is that jtag mode is volume up+power. That combination should ALWAYS work no matter what state the phone is in. The notification light blinks a few times but the screen stays black. You are pretty much SOL

I press the volume up + power and the phone can work in jtag mode .
If only we found the jtag contact points that we could fix the phone without the datasheet of the 7230 cpu?
If you can contact scotty2 (the man responsible for rooting the htc vision) he know how to fix it.
He found a new menu that comes before boot menu . I'm not 100 percent sure but I think it was power and camera button half way in. Not completely in just half way in . But what you do after thet I'm have no idea. I know all of this because I have brick 1 desire z.

Hi there,
I'm having strange issues with DHD. I've read a few threads with issues like this, but symptoms are always slightly different.
Yesterday, I've connected it to the charger (the battery was empty), and when I tried to turn it on, it just did 3 vibrations and orange notif. LED started blinking. When connected to the USB, the Windows recognizes device as Qualcomm, and further reading suggested that the phone is entering service mode, which is normally accessible with Power + Vol+. I've also found out that volume rocker can be the issue, but in my case I don't see anything wrong with it, it's working and looking like before.
No matter what I did, it always did the same, it won't even go into recovery (Power + Vol-), screen always stays blank, the only activity I'm getting are flashing LEDs and vibrations.
Also, phone is charging when turned off (battery removed and reinserted). I've charged it for a few hours yesterday and the green LED was on.
And finally, when turned off, and plugged into the USB, after few seconds, adb devices will show the device, and after the serial number it says recovery. Does that mean that the phone booted into the recovery? The screen is still black though.
So, the most important thing for me is to find out is it possible to return the phone back to stock, in order to send it for a repair. And even better, a solution for the problem
I believe its a hardware problem, although adb says its in recovery. Any more ibfo you could give us? ROM, how you rooted it etc?
Sent from another dimension...
thanks don't hurt ya know?
Take off battery, connect phone to charger via USB for 3 minutes ,than insert battery put battery cover now u should see orange light ,now press power button and voila
It's an issue with the volume rocker I think
Had a very similar issue when I had IceColdSandwich on my DHD, only started when I flashed that Rom, reflashed a different Rom, everything is fine again!
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

I'm not sure that the issue is with ROM, I'm starting to think that it's probably a hardware issue. And that's why I need to found out how to return everything to stock, and send it for warranty.
Try again it will work .may be leave it longer after you put the battery in like an hour .it should work after an hour press the power button

Today, i visit the service, flat cable and battery where reinserted and everything is normal now. You could try this method if you have a warranty. Best regards.

Thankyou so much after leaving phone in cupboard for like 5 years and forgot why it was on there I decided to plug it up. Then I remembered it wouldn't turn on and I was getting the orange blinking. After following your instructions it's all on again. Have upgraded since then so I guess this is a back up phone now lol
Hi guys I wonder if you can help me. My friend broke his Wildfire S screen and asked me if I could fix it. I got a new glass / digitiser from eBay and replaced the screen. All look fine to me so I took it back to him.
It seems since replacing the screen the phone sometimes refuses to wake up when clicking the lock button, or when an inbound call arrives. The phone rings but there is no sign of life other than the ringing noise. If you then plug in the charger the screen will turn on and you can use the phone as normal. I've tried a factory reset on it but nothing seems to help.
I haven't replaced the LCD just the glass/digitiser, and can't think of a reason in doing so would break other functions of the phone. Can anyone help or suggest what might be the problem here? I'm a competent repairer and have replaced the screens on many Laptops, iPhone's and iPad's but this is my first encounter with a HTC.
I believe it is a stock ROM branded O2 - Details from the phone are ...
Android Version - 2.3.5
HTC Sense Version - 2.1
Software Number - 2.26.206.1
Kind Regards

i have a similar problem,
I have replaced the digitizer but the phone doesnt start. I press the lock buttom and the phone vibrates, but the screen is black, nothing apears...
What can i do?
I would like to know...
I've no idea been trying for ages, I'd like to try a newer ROM but can't get the phone in to S-OFF.
I've done the whole HTC Dev thing and unlocked the boot loader etc, but can't find a stock rom / RUU that will flash to it.
And here's me thinking this site was going to be helpful and full of people who knew what they were talking about!

Hey,
Last Week my HTC died. It turns off and won't start anymore.
No light, nothing.
Battery is at 30% as it shut down.
Power + vol up / down doesn't work. No recovery mode..
In the Device Manager i found the HTC, named "QHSUSB_DLOAD"
Is it Bricked?
I found this Thread but it's for the M7, not M8 :

Many Thanks,

Edit: My Englisch is not very well, I'm from Germany
I am not HTC Expert, but from what i know, it maybe got motherboard failure, maybe u should go and get replacement. If u got no root, and it randomly went off and not get on back again, it's for sure then a hardware failure, it mostly is caused from the motherboard. Also, your screen might be damaged too, the cable that is connected to a port to light up screen, maybe something there popped off, so ur screen went full black? also, try to take battery off, and back on again and start the device like u normally do, and find a way to get your phone make sound or vibrate, im sure there is a way, if it doesnt work, it's for sure from what i know, hardware failure.
Anyone would say same i guess, good luck.
