[Q] Blank screen after HTC Function Test Program - Wildfire Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello to all, I read alot on this forum, but decided to register as I believe that there are very intelligent individuals on this forum.
Yesterday I tried the "HTC Function Test Program 1.03g" on my HTC Wildfire (WWE_2.22.405.1). I did this by calling the number: #*#*3424#*#*
I did a "Display Test" which displayed a white screen and dissapeared by pressing the back key. After doing that test I noticed the screen doesn't sleep, in other words the screen remains on with back lighting.
Today my phone paused and I saw a very colorful graphic on the display so I had to reboot / removed battery.
The screen was blank, after trying to remove the battery etc I managed to boot untill enter sim code but right after that the screen went blank again.
Now I have figured out that the phone is running normally, the screen is blank though. After reading in the forums I successfully reinstalled the RUU Ver. (RUU_Buzz_Froyo_HTC_WWE_2.22.405.1_Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10_release_160191_signed)
But still blank screen. My feeling tells me that the display has somehow been disabled. I cannot boot into recovery mode (Volume-down+power on) as the screen is still blank. No matter what I do, screen blank.
The phone seems to still be alive.
Any ideas what I could try? I have done this test on another phone now, and the screen is staying on now, so Im worried if I reboot it, I will end up with blank screen.
Please give me some ideas on what to try I would be very grateful.

HTC Desire frozen lock screen issue

Hi,
Recently, my Desire HD has crapped out during the process of changing my back ground wall paper. It restarted and some how the screen got stuck on lock screen with the screen being totally unresponsive. I can tell the device is "semi-working" as the top bar shows that the phone does all its start up processes and the top lock button works (although it is with a delay).
Is there a reason why this is happening?
Any solution to it? (Yes I have gone through google for 2 hours without solution found)
If I have to resort to hard reset, is there any way I can back up my messages + things in the phone aside from programs before resetting?
Any help would be great!
Thanks in advance!
frozen lockscreen
my desire has done the same thing since rooting and using android rev rom. the only way i got mine to respond was to drop the battery out then put it back in and reboot with the charger plugged in and switched on. as soon as the phone is on, unlock it and use it. this did the trick with me. hope it helps.

Wildfire screen flickering/jumping.

Hello, guys!
I have a problem with my HTC Wildfire (Buzz).
The problem: My screen has started to flicker and jump. And i didn't drop it(i think i didn't) and i bought it 2 years ago. I can charge it, i can reboot it, but as soon as i lock and unlock, firstly it is just black screen and the bottom buttons turn on, but i have to press my power button for many times for the screen even to turn on. And when it turns on, as soon as i unlock the screen it starts to jump and flicker. As well - When i am charging my green light isn't turning on.
Specifications: Standart ROM, HTC Wildfire Buzz, Android Version - 2.2.1
What i tried: Tried factory data reset(nothing changed), took out my SD card(nothing changed), Powered it off for a couple of hours with a battery taken out(nothing changed).
Sorry if there is a solution already on this forum, but i didn't find it.
Please help and thank you.
You can try running a ruu on your phone to reflash stock firmware to see if that helps

[Q] HTC Desire Z Stuck On Boot

Hi all,
I have a HTC Desire Z and having an issue with it, it is a stock standard DZ. Done some searching and couldn't find anything like this with a solution. So tonight my phone vibrated in my pocket like i received a message. When i got it out the screen was black. None of the buttons were responding so i removed the battery and restarted the phone.
The phone now gets stuck in the bootloader every time I turn it on. When in the bootloader none of the buttons respond, meaning i cant select anything. Have tried cleaning the volume buttons, they were a bit dirty but it didn't fix it.
So when it boots it goes into a white screen, Fastboot and bootloader are highlighted
My question is, has anyone experienced this problem? Does anyone know how to get the phone to boot properly.
Thanks for any help.

After about a week of problems my phone just randomly started to work ok again. Hasnt been the same since, very slow, and heats up ALOT.
Looking at the new Xperia Z1 now

Display Problem !!!!!

I'm having a somewhat weird issue with my ACE 2's display. When I turn it on, the screen went blank (not black) but blank, everything still runs but the display isn't showing anything. And by blank I mean the background is kinda like the one in CWM recovery but without the logo. Right now, all i can do to solve this is by removing the battery and turn the phone back on.
I'm hoping someone is also having this problem and have a better solution to it.
PS : My friends say that it's a hardware problem but I don't think so.

HTC desire 816 anoying turning off PLEASE HELP!!

Hi i have this supper anoying problem after 5.0.2 update! So basicaly What it does is when ever i will pick up the phone it would turn off like the screen would dim (not rebbot or shut down) and after a little tapping on a screen it would turn on again and sometimes when it does that it would glitch a little. While typing this it happened twice its sooooo anoying idk what to do now if i wont find any solutions i will just buy samsung galaxy or something like that. Also my carrier is Virgin Mobile thanks
Same problem, same phone.
Definitely annoying! Seems random but especially while rotating for me. I have not been able to dig up any solutions thus far.
Check out your proximity sensor settings in the HTC testing app, or try Gravity screen. Mine did the same thing a couple times, also clean off your screen at the very top left, if you look real good you can see the sensor just under the front camera hole in the glass, also sometimes a screen saver will mess with this sensor. One more thing is the stock lock screen can cause an issue similar to what you are talking about, hope one of these help yo out, cane0716

hi
thanks for information i already gave that phone to my friend and i think he fixed it by actually having different lock screen i currently have samsung galaxy s5 its wayyyy better lol
Phone turns off during use and will not complete boot unless plugged to charger even when the battery is almost full.
This error started last night after I did factory reset because of observed phone lag. I did mistakenly "wiped internal storage" but got the alert of "no OS during reboot", so I restored from my backup from SD.
the phone started properly but went off during initial setup and will go back off each time I tried turning it back on. I thought it was battery so I plugged it to power.
it did boot but will go back off once I have few touches on the screen.
I had to leave it plugged to setup my accounts else it will go off.
I'm using its Wi-Fi to send this message via my PC because any 2 - 3 touches will switch the phone off.
once it does that, it won’t even boot to bootloader before it goes off again unless plugged to power.
what I do to solve this please??
