Cannot play in full screen, and all of the keys are disaligned... please help... or just guide what thread i need to be... I'm using Archos 101
It's probably because the game doesn't support the resolution of Archos 101. With my Archos 70 it runs very well.
How can you manage to run Asphalt 5 on Archos 101, I cannot install it as well. There was a version for Galaxy Tab on market but marked at protected apps so I couldn't find it.
Dear Defy owners,
As you may know we have PowerVR gpu wich is strong but there is a lot of beautiful game wich doesn't support our video chip.
I look for the proper solution to run Tegra games on Defy. Especially the Fishlab's Galaxy On Fire 2.
There is the ChainFire3D stuff, wich is able to emulate Nvidia's Tegra video capabilities. In theory. But I haven't get any happy result with it.
But there is a thread about ChainFire3D and Tegra: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1137034
Is it possible, that we need special Tegra plugin for ChainFire3D wich is compatible to our Defy?
What is your experience about ChainFire3D, guys?
Well isnt the Tegra 2 a lot more powerful than our SGX530?
So some games would be very bad, especially after emulation.
Did you try activating 16-bit texture etc? That should help a lot.
Just curious, which games are you playing where you having problems?

I am not a extensive gamer but I have tried the following games and it works pretty well on Defy (most of them without ChainFire3D):
1. NFS Shift
2. FIFA 2010
3. Splinter Cell
4. N.O.V.A. 2 HD
5. Samurai II Vengeance (with plugin)
6. GT Free+ HD
7. Hawx
8. Ashpalt 5 and 6 HD
9. Assassin's Creed
Mine working great too on Defy - Gingerbread 2.3.4.
1. NFS Shift
2. NFS Hot Persuit
3. FIFA 2012
4. Mordern Combat 2
5. PES2012
6. GTA3(Grant Theft Auto III)
7. Hawx
8. Ashpalt 6 HD
9. Let's Golf 2
10 Cross Court Tennis
11. AirAttack HD
12. N.O.V.A. 2 HD
And all of them full version..
I see some phone running specific rom(custom) or retails(stock) having mixed sucessfull run and failed to run. Same goes to benchmark results. These sometimes depends on how the rom/stock were setting up and tweak independently..

There are very few GameLoft games that work on any Archos G9 devices to start with. For the few that do, they usually only show up on Google Play as being compatible with the 101 G9. Reason, simple, the 101 is wide screen, while the 80 G9 has a 4:3 aspect.
Unfortunately, I do not have enough room (memory left) on my 101 G9 to test things, but very often if you have another device that Google Play will let you install something one... then you can often use some app to make a backup of it, and then transfer that to your other devices and "side load" it.
Some things simply will not work at all, but I've found many that do work on my other devices but... sometimes the opening video does not display correctly... usually can just tap on the screen to skip it or just let it play out until it gets to the real game stuff.
I hate to say it, but you very likely will find a lot of things that are listed on Google Play as not being compatible with the 80 G9 simply because most apps were made for smartphones (or tablets) that have wider screens (16:9 or 16:10) instead of the 4:3 aspect the 80 G9 has.
Just as a side note, I have 3 Archos tablets (well, actually more but won't get into it here)... the 70b (with Android Honeycomb), and both the 80 and 101 G9 "classic" 8Gig models (with only 512M system RAM). Although not everything I've tried works on all of them, I have found that most things do if I can get it installed on whatever Google let's me (and have enough space to do so), and then make a backup, and copy it over to "side load" on the other(s). Of course, that only works because all of my devices use the same Google account.
BTW: What I mean by "side load", in case you do not already know... is that when you make a backup of an app and then try to install that .apk file on any device, it will complain about it being from an "unknown" source as a security protection. You have to go into Settings on the device and change it to allow installing from unknown sources first. Make sure you go back and turn that back off again afterward!

Got good and bad news...
First, the good news... Yes, you can install Dungeon Hunters 3 from Google Play on a 101 G9.
Now the bad news... and as expected...
Like ALL GameLoft games up until the only 2 they released this year...
Dungeon Hunters 3, even though it does install on a 101 G9 does not run, it just crashes out shortly after start up.
Transferred a copy over to my 80 G9 and the good news, yes it would install and download the rest of the game, but bad news... as mentioned, like ALL Gameloft games (except for the 2 they released this year) it also just crashes shortly after start up.
After Archos and GameLoft finally got an agreement worked out between them, then GameLoft released 2 games that would run on Archos G9 device. One of them is Asphalt 7: Heat, and I think the other one is The Amazing Spider-Man. I know Asphalt 7 works on both my 101 and 80 G9. Have not tested The Amazing Spider-Man, but I assume it will also work (because those 2 are the only ones noted in any tablet news sites as being able to run on Archos G9 devices).
Sorry dude, but that's just the way it is.
Ever since Gameloft transitioned to a universal package for their games (universal apk and OBB resource files), their games can be run on a G9 tablet (at least G9 80 Turbo). Perhaps it does not show as compatible on the Play Store, but the games generally work (Dark Knight Rises, Amazing Spiderman, Asphalt 7, Wild Blood, Modern Warfare 3,...).
There might be problems with menu scaling, and problems to get the games to install.
I bought asphalt 7 from play store and it feels laggy with 4.0.26 deodexed, so I installed oc kernel. I have archos g9 101 turbo, so i over clocked to 1,6ghz. Even after that it was a bit laggy so I installed chainfire 3d and dropped graphics to 16bit. I was thinking of enabling both cores and using performance to make it lag free without chainfire. Do you guys have any experience or a way to make it run better?

Recommended CPU clocks:
Gaming - "lagfree" 800 to 1500mhz
Normal usage - "powersafe" 200 to 1000mhz (good for battery)

Hey guyz am getting my xperia play fixed (flex cable problem) . Is there any other way to speed up games? E.g Gta vice city, modern combat 4 . I'm currently running NXT LE 1.3 with doomkernel(v14) and I have overclocked. I am still getting a few lags once in a while. Is my phone maxed out or is there another step forward?
Do a swap partition and you can get more RAM memory
Mc4 doesn't lag if u use wapshop version with wifi on.
/==(CyberScopes)==\
And gplay version doesn't lag if u start game with game pad closed then open when game starts
